WMD 10/5 Cleared! Mostly…

WMD 10/4 Clearing The Decks

After yesterday’s…adventure…I spent today getting those decks scrubbed. Even though it looks like I’ll be scrubbing tomorrow too.

Up pretty early for a Saturday. Housework and then to my office. There I started the process of formatting Not Likely for publishing. After creating graphics, and getting the ebook where I wanted it, I switched over to getting the print version done. Took a few breaks between 10:00 and 2:00 by using Time Out to make sure I got up every 90 minutes and walked around....

WMD 10/3 Gone Girl vs Movie Tavern

Let me start off by saying,I loved Gone Girl. I haven’t read it, but I plan on it. Soon as I actually GET the free ebook I was promised from buying the ticket. More than 48 hours have passed and I still haven’t received the code to download it. I contacted them, waiting to see why not. And no, it’s not in my spam.

This was still technically an admin day. No new fiction, just me getting the decks cleared.

Got up early again and worked on the Mysterious Times outline and I’m about to start writing the beats. w00t! If you’re a SPP listener, you know what that means.

I’ve also been talking to someone about started a podcast. Dunno yet.

WMD 10/1 Admin Day!

Yep. Today was spent on just the stuff that’s not writing.

Got up on my early writing schedule but instead of writing I workedon the Mysterious Times outline. This book…wow…it’s gone through about as much back and forth as Strange Behavior, but not for the same reason. Mysterious Time fits in with the Planar lore established in the Zoë Martinique Investigation series and Strange Behavior is starting its own.

WMD 9/30

Woke up early and started on editing the Uncollected story, which is now called NewFrost. I managed to edit about 3K before it was time to beginthat morning schedule.

After drop off and a quick trip to CVS for a few things, it was back to the office where I stayed…All. Day. Long. woof.

WMD 9/29

Monday. Totally a Monday. Wet and rainy.

I spent all day working on the Uncollected Story. Decided to go back to the original idea. I re-read it and had about 3,243 words. Today I wrote another 5,500 words to finish the story.

w00t!

Tomorrow I’ll be working on getting the cover ready, the story edited and formatted and the newsletter ready for a Thursday send out!

Today was spent on the Uncollected story…which… I gave up on around noon after 3,223 words.

No kidding. This is a classic example of the subconscious telling me I’m going in the wrong direction. I originally started writing this story as a sequel to the Jack Frost book I wrote. But that wasshifting from a short story to a bookreally fast, so I put it away.

Today was spent with laundry, and figuring out where I went wrong with Shrikes.

I woke up later than usual, made coffee and said morning to the daughter who is now proficient at making her own breakfast and got to work reading Shrikes. While I read I made notes to myself to keep track of continuity.

WMD 9/26

After drop off, I finished Shrikes with another 3,654 words in two sessions. But I’m not that happy with it. That happens sometime, which means my subconscious is telling me I need to go back over the whole thing and read it, from beginning to end to see where I went wrong.

Had a long lunch with an old friend. He was in town for a Barnes & Noble seminar with other Gaming people. I got some swag! Like 6 copies of different versionsof FLUXX! It was a lot of fun to catch up with each other.
