WMD 10/15 Writing Short Story

Put Admin day off and concentrated on writing this anthology short story.

After morning drop off and a good walk (was thinking of this story), I got to the computer around 10:30 and wrote 1,632 before I took a break and did some dishes. WMD 10/14 Short Story

I worked on getting research done for this short story. Because it’s in a shared world, and set in a place I don’t think has been used before, I need to have some pertinent facts down in my head before I start writing. Looking back over choosing this particular setting—and taking into account we were given the opportunity to choose where to set the story when we were invited to write I have to ask myself—what the hell was I thinking?!?

I love the world. w00t!

WMD 10/13 There’s a Storm Coming!

Columbus Day. The tweenager had the day off. Really? I don’t remember ever having Columbus Day off when I was in school. With a warning that I still had to work today, meaning it as fend-for-yourself-don’t-ask-me-to-get-you-a-pickle,I decided to attack the two proofs I got in, Seraphim and Not Likely. With a highlighter / pen and my little sticky flags, I made coffee, then tea and had a pitcher of cold water and proceeded to work on these two books all day (with breaks and food).

WMD 10/12 Getting Back On Track

Non writing day.

Got up late cause I was up late working. Made coffee and got ready to drive to Little Five Points for Savage Pizza. To me they have the best pizza, and the superhero motif is a lot of fun too.

After lunch we delivered visiting family to a MARTA station and then ran a few errands before heading home. Did dishes and cleaned, laundry, and didn’t get to the computer until well past eightin the evening.

WMD 10/11 Challenging…

No writing today. Largerfamily involvement in the day starting early and lasting into the evening.

But in the evening, a lot of retrospection and getting together of stuff for my white boards in my office. Also putting together the beats page. So far this week, I have Shrikesto review. I got the print proofs in for Seraphim and Not Likely so I need to go over these very carefully. I also have a SR short story due Nov. 1 so I want to get that done and submitted, all before I start Mysterious Ti...

WMD 10/10 Writing With Company

Even with family interruptions I managed to get work done on Shrikes. I’ve gotten to that place during a project where I want to be done now because I want to start the next one.

After a morning of playing taxi I went home and did housework. Then to the computer while I had the opportunity. I wrote 1,395 words before I took a break. Then back to the computer for another 2,113 words. Took a quick walk because it was sprinkling and HOT. You know. Moisture. Heat. HUMIDITY?

WMD 10/9 Family Interuptions

Yeah, today was pretty much taken up by a morning of yard work, and family events. And as a writer I plan for this. I did. I knew this interruption was coming a month away, which was why I planned on just doing yard work thismorning, house work and then afternoon shenanigans.

WMD 10/8 Admin Day…

Turned into Housework day for the first half of the day. So, after morning drop off — it was the morning of catch-up. ‘Cause housework will overwhelm you! Well…it does me.

Who needs a walk! I got housework! woo-pee.

After lunch though, I finally got to my office to work on this whole Beats idea, as well as pulling my Wattpad book back up and re-reading it. This is an ongoing thing I want to get back to, and I hope by the end of October I’ll have that story back up and running. I let myself get...

WMD 10/7 New Beats Page…Maybe?

Still working on fixing Shrikes.

Got up a regular time for school morning and drop off. Went straight to the computer to write 1,429 words. Got up before Time Out kicked in and did dishes. Back to the the computer and wrote another 1,845 words before I took a 2 mile walk. This is when I really love to walk because the temperature is a LOT cooler and the leaves are just starting to turn and fall (but that means my yard is going to need raking. Ugh.)

WMD 10/6 Back To Writing

Yep. Got back to it today fixing Shrikes, the 2nd of my pen name books I had on the list to finish this year. Not Likely is doing pretty good. Better than I expected.

Did not get up early because I was up too late. After morning coffee, drop off and my walk, got to the computer at10:00 am and wrote 1,832 words before Time Out pushed me up again.
