I mowed! It was so nice outside this morning at drop-off I decided on yard work. And there was a lot. So I was in the yard from 9:15 am to 11:55 am and when I came in, I was on the floor in the living room for a while enjoying Netflix. LOL.

After a shower and lunch I got to the computer to find out the Revenants books still weren’t published or even close. Pfft. So I pulled up pen name book and went over editor’s edit...

Kobo Update: Still no response on that 0.01 payment. Still sending them emails.

I set aside the novel today in favor of getting the Revenants updates finished and published. I started at 10:00 am and worked on it most of the day, which included a Skype call in the middle of that (through which I kept on working!).

Kobo Update: Still no word. I logged into Kobo Writing Life and did math from March to July. o.o1 was not correct. I resent the email. And I will continue to resend the emails until someone answers my question.

Single-Tasking

Yesterday I talked with a writer friend who cautioned me about multi-tasking. She believes it’s not a good idea for all people. I am one of those people. And today she sent me a link to an interesting article about studies done on productivity and multi-tasking. I will say this video cracked me up, but I got the message.

Fiction River is the brain storm anthology from Kristine Kathryn Rusch and Dean Wesley Smith. Quality fiction, great themes. This issue contains my first sell to Fiction River—w00t!

“Unsubscribe” was inspired by the fact I spend so much of my time unsubscribing to sites, emails, groups, etc., so I can subscribe to new things. Then when those things get unbelievably crazy, I unsubscribe again! What if the world was based on subscriptions?

WMD 8/20 – The Bullet Journal

I got a really odd email from Kobo today. They were depositing 0.01 into my bank account. Huh? Why? I have invoices from the past six months with sell amounts on them—what up with the 0.01 notice?

It’s hot. I mean…hot.

I started to mow grass after drop off, but when I started sweating JUST getting the lawn mower out and my jeans stuck to my legs…. No. Uh uh. Can’t deal. Neighborhood, if you want it mowed, mow it yourself. I’ll wait till I can get out there a lot earlier and take advantage of the morning. Like…Saturday.
