Tuesday, 4th February -- Everyone got their copy of Trade LABYRINTH? No, do not shake your head, that is not acceptable. Duck your head in shame if you didn't immediately jump on this announcement. Maybe you don't get to work out for three months and just imagine what you'll look like and feel like without regular exercise in three months? It's a scary visual -- so go, guys, go, save yourself plus you get a good read.
All of you like Peyton's showing-parts-of-his-body photos and have shared yours. They're amazing -- that is, "cats" are amazing, aren't they? It was cold here last night (down in the 40s) and Peyton snuggled so close all night, I couldn't move. Well, I could, but disturb that precious little critter? Nah. Who minds a numb arm or leg?
Work today, lots and lots and then, as you know, the infamous stuff that never ceases until you croak and since you're croaked you don't know that the stuff has ceased. What a conundrum.
Today, BIG CARDIO -- pump those legs, rotate those arms, really put muscle in everything you do. Make your body sing Hallelujah. And yes, when you're all finished, you may applaud yourself.

Friday, 31st January -- The weirdest thing. I went to answer your comments for yesterday, and there weren't any, that is, Facebook didn't show me any except for the first two. No, I did not bad-mouth Facebook, but it's getting close. What's going on here? I'll check later to see if Facebook released your golden words.
The first month of 2020 is nearly gone around the corner to disappear into the annals of time past. Did that sound poetic? One can but try.
I hope all of you were on the phone to loved ones. If not then DO IT TODAY. I mean, how long does it take? So your mom/grandpa/aunt want to chat -- that's great. So if you didn't make contact, do it today. Any birthdays in the family? Or friends? Call and sing Happy Birthday -- that makes the birthdayee feel excellent.
It's going to be a perfect Friday, you'll see. All you have to do is be pleasant, (even to the jerk you want to deck), compliment THREE people (not the same person three times, that'd be weird), and have a Mexican lunch or dinner. Also, accomplish what you set out to do today, that's very important. The most important? CARDIO and working out -- you will feel so virtuous, so very proud of yourself and self-confident, people will ooh and ahh at the sight of you and want to be near your gloriousness.

Thursday, 30th January -- Great eats at HCF yesterday, lots of fun and laughter -- and reminiscing about Kobe, of course. One of you mentioned Shaq speaking -- and he is so right on. Gave me thought, that's for sure. If you haven't spoken to a family member or a friend in a long time -- maybe a fight, laziness, life simply happening and you're not paying attention to those who are in your "corner" -- CALL THEM, do not text, for heaven's sake, CALL. If it's an argument that's kept you silent, FORGET THE ARGUMENT -- Life can be too short and you simply never know when the big mac truck is going to get you. Let me know who you call today and how it made you feel -- And the result?
Of course life goes on for those of us still on the planet. And we work and try to enjoy ourselves, try to do what's right, try to be a good parent/grandparent -- just don't forget -- life is so fragile.
If you're not planning on exercising today -- change your mind. It's so important. The stronger your body is, the more fit, you're upping your chances of a longer, better life. Those of you on diets -- listen, it's not rocket science -- eat fewer carbs, cut back on red meat (it's fattening) and ALWAYS have your dinner off salad plates, not regular larger plates. And only ONE serving. Do this, cardio, stretch, work out -- and you're doing the best you can to have the life odds in your favor.

Wednesday, 29th January -- Many of you have spoken about the others who died in the helicopter accident that killed Kobe Bryant. I believe when all of us got over the shock, we said, who are the others? I do know his daughter's friend was killed but I don't know who else was. I hope someone takes the time to announce it so we can see photos and learn names -- Everyone is still very shaken up.
Today is the High Cholesterol Factory -- yes, yes, I'm not even going to bother pretending -- Avocado egg roles and hamburger sliders (four very little hamburgers) with lots and lots of dill pickle slices and, naturally, French's mustard along with a mandatory dollop of ketchup. Then a bit of shopping -- I have gift certificates to Tommy Bahama -- I don't usually visit the story, but hey, it's time to cash in that gift certificate.
No, no gym today, but later I will do 40 minutes on the bike and ab work on the floor and stretching, lots of stretching. You can practically hear your muscles purr as they warm up (sort of like Eli and Peyton).
The publisher told me the pre-orders for DEADLOCK look great -- thank you if you've already pre-ordered the book. YEA! I've gotten a couple of editing suggestions back from the editor, and I think they're good, so thank you, Sara (that's her name).
Everyone, if you're not going to the HCF today, then there's simply no excuse -- get your very nice butts to the gym or spend 45 minutes in your designated exercise spot in your house and go to it. Please me your routine.

Tuesday, 28th January -- Many many tributes to Kobe Bryant -- it's wonderful they're being given, but it's so tragic to watch.
How about the January newsletter? Everybody get one? Or sign up on my web site at CatherineCoulter.com? If not, get to it. Problems, email me at ReadMoi@gmail.com
I posted the Trade cover of LABYRINTH at my gym yesterday. It was great to see a group of people standing around it, heard comments like, wow, creepy, romantic, strange green -- always fun to eavesdrop. It is an awesome cover. (I think it's creepy)
Sounds like many of you were virtuous yesterday and that's a relief. Sometimes, though, I feel like I'm whistling in the wind, that you're reading, going blah, blah, blah. Listen up: exercise is fun. You heard me. With the right mindset, you can really enjoy working on and with your body to tune it up and keep it going at a top notch speed. You can be proud of your body. You can whistle while you look at yourself in the mirror and smile. It's a commitment.

Friday, 24th January -- all of you were right on -- the new iPad smooched my old iPad and everything was instantly transferred over. Only problem, having problems buying apps. It says confirm by pressing above (something like that) -- Huh? Anyone know what this is all about? There is a sort of button on the top of the iPad and I did press it down, but nothing, simply sent me back to the store. HELP.
The January newsletter is out -- let me know if you didn't get it and you're signed up.
Interesting stuff happening, no, nothing horrible, merely surprising that I'll deal with. It's so interesting, if I were a writer just starting out, the publishing business as it stands now would be my reality. Sure, I'd know about the evolution of publishing (ebooks) but I wouldn't have to deal with all the newness of it all. But I have straddled both publishing worlds. What an incredible time, publishing through all the changes, everyone scrambling, trying to adapt and adjust -- And who knows what publishing will be like in three years?
Last day of the week to prove to your body you love him/her with all your heart. Get yourself nice and warm and stretched, do your CARDIO (hopefully no exercise minions are staring at you through the window), then work on what you need to. Tris and bis? DO IT -- if you don't have free weights, if you don't go to the gym, then BUY free weights (I'd say 5 lbs) or do isometrics or do arm rolls for bis. Everyone on board?

Thursday, 23rd January -- I have a good excuse for writing to you late this morning -- shall I tell you what I was doing? Hmm. Nah --
I'm writing the newsletter, a bit late, sorry about that. Lots of publishing excitement, mainly the frustrating, cursing kind of excitement. But all will right itself.
Now that I've been a total jerk and not told you anything, let me say I am finally getting a new iPad (mine is something like 8 years old) I pray there won't be any problems transferring everything from the old to the new. Did you guys have any problems? I'm hope the new cameras will be spectacular -- those of you with new ones, what do you think?
Today is a big cardio day for me and floor exercises (abs primarily and stretches). What about you?

Wednesday, 22nd January -- One of you mentioned seeing BREEDING.SE -- it's on my page as well, turns out it's a domain name site -- go figure. How does this happen?
Keep posting your Football Scores -- The wins/losses are all over the board. But all in all, everyone did just fine, thank you, and the best? It's fun, so please don't apologize if you don't think you did well enough.
Back to The Virgin Bride and what will happen at Northcliffe Hall -- yes, Douglas and Alexandra, the earl and countess, are still alive and kicking. I had to have James, Corrie, and the twins not there otherwise there'd be too many characters to deal with -- I know, I tried it. Who remembers Barnaby from the first three Grayson Sherbrooke novellas? I think we're going to find out about his parentage in this one --
Today, after light stretching, do your cardio -- the trick with cardio, with all your exercise -- is consistency. You cannot go to the gym once ever two weeks and feel like you're on the right track. You're not. Work out cardio wise every day (well, take Saturday off like I do) and your muscle groups need 2 to 3 times a week of work. Okay?

Tuesday, 21st January -- RESULTS OF THE FOOTBALL CONTEST:
For the season, I'm 49-30. Everyone post your scores -- go ahead and count the play-off games if you wish, I did -- or don't if you didn't do well. The contest closes down in a week, all right? Do get me your final tally. Last day the 27th.
Work on the novella -- this is a fun one. Who remembers the Virgin Bride from the Sherbrooke series? She's baaaaack --
And yes, Grayson Sherbrooke is having another hair-raising adventure along with the three children -- Pip, P.C. and Barnaby. Trying to write it in the next three weeks. Toes crossed, please.
Stuff is always happening -- particularly when you have a large family. There is always something wonderful, something painful, something that pisses you off, and so many birthdays, and wouldn't you know -- large families keep breeding to add more of the same stuff to the mix.
One new treadmill in cold-weather land. How about the rest of you? No gym close by, then you have to have cardio at home. See to it. It's time to stretch -- do it in front of the mirror -- watch yourself as you slowly stretch each body part -- then do what your body wants you to do (No, that doesn't mean eat cake or cookies or ice cream -- big no no)

Friday, 17th January -- Everyone exclaiming over the gorgeous menacing, mysterious Trade paperback cover of LABYRINTH? Isn't it cool? Don't forget -- someone who likes a paperback that's a bit larger, easier to read, then this is the one for them. Okay, I've done my duty -- go forth and pre-order that sucker. Thank you. And thanks to my publisher for reminding me.
Play-offs -- all of us are all over the board. At least everyone is healthy and that's something.
Finish off the week with a nice sweat -- that's right, you heard me, it's the day to have a bit of moisture on your forehead and between your shoulder blades. That means some hard cardio, -- intervals, fast, slow, repeat until you're ready to hire someone to assassinate the treadmill, the bike, the stairs, whatever. Go for it, guys --

Halloween's coming up fast, the day the zombies burst out of the ground and terrify the crap out of us, not to mention eat our candy and eat our brains.
Update on BOMBSHELL, the 17th FBI Thriller: I'm nearly finished with the edit. The cover is very cool, explodes with eye-popping color. BOMBSHELL is set in Maestro, Va., (the setting of the 10th FBI thriller, POINT BLANK) and in Washington.
JEWEL OF THE LION (first thriller in A Brit in the FBI series partnered with J.T. Ellison). JEWEL moves fast and you don't know what's going to happen on the next page, and you're biting your toenails or a zombie's toenails. J.T. is an excellent plotter and that means when we brainstorm no plot gets left behind.
Alas, no kids want candy enough to crawl up our oxygen-deprived steep driveway, and the sad thing is, I still have a big bowl of candy, every year, but no one comes, not even the zombies with brain bags.
Take care, Catherine
