Tuesday, 5th May -- Happy Cinco de Mayo though we'll have to celebrate with a margarita in our own house.
Thank you, Patricia -- we thoroughly enjoyed watching the Patriots' season and their amazing comeback playing Atlanta in Super Bowl 51 (It was an amazing job the film makers did, the whole season, commentary, players, coaches talking during the games -- well done. What continually surprises me is that you can find simply anything to watch and it's so easy. I'm just always forgetting that -- now I'm going to re-watch some of my favorite Warrior games.

A couple of you are leaning toward paranormal like I am. I really like the paranormal/science fiction trilogy by Jayne Ann Krentz -- Amaryllis, Orchid and the third woman's name totally escapes me. No, they're not dark --

VORTEX -- as you know, my FBI books usually have two plots that occasionally intersect, but usually not. In any case, I've been working my tush off on this one plot and now am ready to switch back to the other -- only thing, I have to reread all of it to refresh my memory -- Oh well, at least it keeps me on my toes.
Life goes on. It's up to you to see that Life goes on productively and happily. Call 3 people today -- and don't forget to get outside and walk in the sunshine.

May 4, 2020

Monday, 4th May -- Beginning week 8. It's so amazing how our lives have changed so radically -- I swear to you there are simply no more movies/tv shows ever made I want to see, all done -- no more trying out a series, and barfing. Nope, now it's finding classic basketball games -- preferably the Warriors, maybe some classic super bowl games.
And READING. Goodness, thank heavens there are more good books than movies/tv shows -- an endless stream. I find i'm reading more and more paranormal, wonder why? Do you find you're drifting toward one genre more than the others?

NAG TIME: Is everyone getting outside everyday it isn't pouring rain on your beautiful heads? Are you stretching when you watch TV? Just five minutes -- and on the floor, doing let lifts or knee lifts for your core? DO IT --

Things are opening up here today in Marin County, CA. -- we'll see. I want a new trail to hike --

Smile: I hope the weather is good tomorrow for my trip to Puerto Backyarda. I'm getting tired of Los Livingroom. (Or put in any language fun you wish.)

May 1, 2020

Friday, 1st of May -- May Day, so do you have any decorated poles near you so you can go and dance dance around it, maybe wearing some German-type folk outfits? Who knows where the May Day custom started?

Idea: All of you who do not have sucky weather this weekend -- drive somewhere pretty and have a picnic -- breathe in the lovely May weather and smile -- you're just fine and
going to stay that way because you're smart and doing everything right -- Did you hear about the 97 year old woman who got the virus and survived? That is amazing.
I solved the VORTEX problem I was whining about yesterday -- thank you for your encouragement.
NAG: Outside, you guys, except if it's raining hard -- if you're stuck inside, hand-make a pizza and climb up and down your stairs like mad.
Smile time: I don't think anyone expected that when we changed the clocks we'd go from Standard Time to the Twilight zone.

April 30, 2020

Thursday, 30th April -- last day of this gorgeous month, so if you can, get outside and celebrate it because it's gone at midnight.
We're finishing up week 7 -- and some partial restrictions lifted -- beaches -- walking -- social distancing, golf courses and gardeners can begin work again, construction -- I'll have to find out what else. Be sure when you comment, you ALWAYS tell me exactly where you are -- so let me know what's lifted in your area.
I'm hoping libraries can get into business again -- hey, you tell them the book you want and they can deliver it to your car. Suggest this if your library is closed.

All goes well with VORTEX although I'm having to rethink an incident that happened some years ago to one of the characters -- but it'll come -- keep your digits crossed though, that's always a positive.
NAG: outside, no excuses, even if you can't walk, you can lie out in the sun and get some free Vitamin D --
Hang in there, good things are coming --

April 29, 2020

Wednesday, 29th April
If any of you depend on your local library for books and your library, in all likelihood is closed, please SAY SO and list the books or genres you like. If you have an ereader, libraries still have books for rental. If you don't have access to digital, then holler. All of us can chip in, I'm sure and send you books.

When you give me the conditions where you live, please ALWAYS tell me city and state, okay?

Now about football -- No doubt in my feeble brain there will be a football season, just no fans of course. I wonder if they'll have taped cheering and sound effects when we watch on TV? Why not? Where do you think Cam Newton is going to end up? He's still a free agent.

I'm pleased you like the short video -- it's such a pretty prospect from the top of that hill above Cavallo Point and a nice walk, well, it ended up being 5 -- count them!!! -- FIVE miles. Phew! Today, something easier, please.

I hope if the weather has been crappy where you live that your weather minions come through with some sunshine. It really is time -- When you have the sun, put on your sneakers and get outside and jump a bit, maybe a hip grind, and head on out -- there is so much beauty around us and the virus has forced us to see it, recognize it for what it is and bask, a little bit, hopefully most days.

April 28, 2020

Tuesday 28th April -- And so we continue onward in our surreal reality and wonder what our new reality will be.

What do you think will happen to football this fall?

One of you mentioned a Plexiglass "sneeze" guard mani/pedi people will be using. A great idea.

So many of you like the photo with Peyton stretched out sleeping on his back, Eli on the watch. Many wonder, including myself, if these tabbies perhaps have a bit of Bengal in them. What do you think?
Our hike yesterday was very fine indeed, a total of 3 something miles, not too treacherous, which is nice. Just walking, looking at nature, feeling the sun on top of your ball cap -- Have I umphed those of you who don't go out to walk regularly? I know every single neighborhood (I think) in Southern Marin -- it's interesting, you really start appreciating where you live -- so get out there and appreciate. Even seeing different houses -- perks you right up.

April 27, 2020

Monday, 27th April -- Can you believe it? It's nearly the end of April. I do hope May brings not only flowers but a big down turn in the number of cases and deaths and thus some easing up of the lock down -- Beginning week 7. Believe it or not, the past 6 weeks have flown by -- and isn't that strange? How about you? Are businesses reopening in your area? How would you like to be the one responsible for making the decision to re-open? Oh my, whatever you do you'd be massively criticized -- from the type of stores you decided to re-open to more deaths from the virus, more cases -- and it's your fault for re-opening up too soon? Yet that's bound to happen -- but we can't simply sit still -- Not an enviable position, from the president down to city mayors. Do let me know what's happening in your town/area.
Found a new trail yesterday -- 2 miles, very pretty only the first part felt like it was straight up and filled with pot-holes and rocks, maybe even some boulders, but you know what? Talk about huffing and puffing. Even though you could see to the city, it was too small to make a great photo. Maybe today -- yep, another trail.
And that brings to mind: YOU -- are you exercising? Are you keeping fit? Do you have a set schedule for exercise? TELL ME, REASSURE ME SO I DON'T HAVE TO NAG YOU.

Smile for the day: I'm so excited -- it's time to take out the garbage. What should I wear?

April 26, 2020

Sunday, 26th April -- I hope everyone has a little shine in their eyes, a little kick to their step. Yep, it's been a long time, but the lights in all the state tunnels are beginning to brighten in the distance -- it's coming, folk -- hang in a little longer and don't do what those folk did in Tampa -- you know Brady went to the Bucs. Evidently he was working out in a local park and people crowded in to watch him. Not very bright -- and Brady -- please work out in your own backyard -- SIGH --

A little smile, please: Single man with toilet paper seeks woman with hand sanitizer for good clean fun.

April 23, 2020

Thursday, 23rd April -- Coming down to the end of Week 6. We're still on lock down. Please comment, tell me exactly where you live, what the conditions are, and your governor's plans for reopening the state.
Thank you for all the prayers headed to Boston for the nurse on the ventilator.
Walked 4.6 miles yesterday, down to Cavallo Point -- used to be Fort Baker, an army installation, and now they're a hotel -- well, they were. Who knows what will happen now? I'll post a video tomorrow so you can see it -- it's right there by the Golden Gate -- incredible setting.
Outdoors, today, people, unless you're in NYC or another equally densely populated area. Outside and walk and walk and if you know you will see very few people who are easily avoided, then wear a mask -- at the very least it keeps your hands away from your face.
It's getting hot here -- that translates to 75 degrees, at least to me.

Now time to smile, hopefully: Day 5 of homeschooling: One of these little monsters called in a bomb threat.

April 21, 2020

Tuesday, 21st April -- Good morning, another gorgeous day here in Sausalito -- this is all well and good for now (that is, the lack of rain) but come summer these beautiful green hills will turn brown. Bummer -- wish there could be a happy nature balance.
All good here -- we're still on lock down in California. How about where you live? Is your state slowly starting to reopen businesses? which ones, do you know?

Most of you are outside when you can be, walking around, and please, when you're 'blissing' out with the warm sun on your face, take photos and post them. All of us love to see where each other lives, not to mention your cats and dogs -- they're so important, always good for a laugh and a snuggle
(I say a prayer every night Peyton and Eli will stay well. They will turn 11 in May, which means they ain't no spring chickens any more.
Everyone -- outside, walk, walk, walk -- and shoot photos for all of us --
