Wednesday, 26th February -- Okay, Newsletters are also going on Facebook since so many servers are recalcitrant and tossing them or spamming them. The Feb. newsletter will go up today.
Now, no more harangues from me about the shingles vaccine -- I only hope everyone is on board. Again, my family member who had the shingles was in MISERY for a month. Okay, okay, I'll shut up. Any questions, you should Google it.
THE VIRGIN BRIDE OF NORTHCLIFFE HALL is off and running. It's being edited as we speak (I hope) and I should be approving a cover very soon now. Don't worry, I'll tell you when it's up.
Question: Do libraries loan out ebooks? So you could simply sign out the ebook and this novella?
Today I'm going nuts -- going to do intervals for ten minutes -- yep, that's enough, I swear to you. If you walk or job rather than work on a tread mill or a stationery bike, it doesn't matter. You walk, pick it up and run for 2 minutes, then walk again, repeat, get your heart rate up. So that's your assignment: Interval training. Then you pick up those free weights or your green band and work your shoulders and back, tries and bis. Everyone on board?

Friday, 21st February -- YEA! FRIDAY, the most joyous day of the week, two free days to look forward to, well, for many of us, and sleeping in. Can't get better than that.
One of you told me about Ramsay Hunt syndrome -- you remember Judge Hunt from THE TARGET and BACKFIRE. It is shingles in your ear and it also affects the nerves to one side of your face -- so paralysis of half your face (looks like you've had a stroke) could happen plus hearing loss. So I hope if you ever get this kind of shingles, it isn't bad. Had I only known the name of this syndrome, I would have made Judge Hunt's name George or Henry. Good grief, there are so many unknown things out there to jump on you.
Going to send THE VIRGIN BRIDE OF NORTHCLIFFE HALL (novella) off today -- big yea.
Oh yes, the February newsletter goes out today as well -- I do hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you don't get it by say Monday, okay? Or to sign up, go to CatherineCoulter.com -- really easy, I promise.
Today, you hop on your bike or put on your sneakers and head out to run through the snow if you want to stay with your dog -- you want to MOVE.

Thursday, 20th February -- Phew -- great to have Wednesday OVER WITH. All good again, or will be.
About my new publisher, William Marrow -- I'll be going to New York say in April, meet everyone, particularly my new editor whom I've never met -- but what's wonderful is that he's really excited, so that's a plus. It's always fun to go in -- you get feted, parties, dinners, and of course I get to see my agent of long-standing. And do not forget SAKS. You do know their shoe department has it's only zip code?
Thanks for the minutes you donated for me yesterday. Well, there were two of you so that means TWO did something cardio -- What's going on here? Please tell me you simply didn't talk about your virtue in your comment to me.
Stuff this afternoon -- all of you know, "stuff" simple does not end until you die, and then you don't know it's ended, I don't guess. So, bottom line, be thankful for stuff always coming at you, it means you're still kicking enough to complain. So get yourselves on a bike or on a hiking trail, or walk four blocks to the HCF -- you know what to do, you know you'd not very smart if you don't do it, SO DO IT.

Wednesday, 19th February -- It'll probably be a month before THE VIRGIN BRIDE OF NORTHCLIFFE HALL (4th Grayson Sherbrooke novella) will be up on ebooks -- and will be available on all ebook suppliers. The novella has to be edited, the cover selected, marketing selected, all sorts of stuff -- but it won't take long -
I know, this is nuts, but this morning, I'm brainstorming the plot for the 25th FBI thriller. All I know so far is I want a "woman in jeopardy" -- like The Cove and Riptide. What do you think?
I've probably told you, DEADLOCK is my last book with Simon & Schuster. The 25th and 26th FBIs will be with William Marrow. It will be exciting and a bit daunting to meet brand new people who will have my books in their hot little hands -- still, it's exciting. So keep your toes crossed (or any available digit you think appropriate).
No gym for me today, other stuff I have to do and no, I don't want to go do it, but life isn't always what you would select, so you try not to whine. Give me a minute of your cardio, okay? And really work on those tris and bis -- everyone has free weights? Bands? Bands are really good, and have instructions with them plus they're super cheap. So go forth and find your virtue.

Tuesday, 18th February -- A reminder -- THE TARGET (third thriller in the FBI series and one of my favorites) is still available for $1.99 -- ebook only. If you haven't read it, give it a try and follow it with it's sequel BACKFIRE.
All of you picked The Sherbrooke Bride as your favorite in the 11-book series. Now, if you haven't tried the series, do give it a shot. This is one series where you really want to read them in order, okay? And keep me posted.
THE VIRGIN BRIDE OF NORTHCLIFFE HALL goes off today -- this is the 4th Grayson Sherbrooke novella.
DEADLOCK is also going off today -- the 24th FBI thriller.
Do I feel rather good about this? You bet --
My first hard workout since the start of the cold from hell was excellent. I was more tired than usual, but still, got through it all, only left 3 minutes early. And were you guys virtuous as well? Please say yes or I'll sink into a depression.
Don't forget now -- SBB!!!!

Thursday, 13th February - Lots of you are exercising regularly, which proves you're smart, very smart -- You're doing your best to keep your body on the planet for the longest possible time in the best possible shape. Yea!
Finished the 4th Grayson Sherbrooke novella -- I do hope you've read the first three -- they're ebook only -- the fourth one is really wild -- I hope it'll be out in about a month. I'll keep you posted.
So, to remind you (because I love you and don't want you to miss anything) DEADLOCK is now in the publishing machine and will be on the shelf the end of July -- like always. You can pre-order, of course, and that's really nice for me. Why, you ask? Because the higher number of early pre-orders the higher the buy ins by the big stores like COSTCO and SAMS, etc. So, yep, it's important.
So much wretched weather -- hang in there -- well, you have to, don't you, you have to simply wait it out and make the best of it. OR, you could move to a nice sunny place and dance in the sunlight in shorts. Whatcha think?
Cardio today -- if your weather sucks, then you walk inside, doing stuff while you walk, like rolling your arms, SBB, suck in stomach and hold, keep your head down. But best, guy? A bike, a treadmill, a rowing machine --

Wednesday, 12th February -- all of you in really miserable horrible weather -- hang in there, on a couple more months before you're dancing in the sunlight.
Yep, 42 is from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams
Johnny Nash -- "a bright, bright, bright, sunny day -- 1972 (I wrote 1872 -- and thankfully saw it before I pushed the button)
Thank all of you for telling me --
Mid-week and it seems sort of flat to me, don't know why. All right, I'll get off my computer butt and go have a lovely breakfast of English muffin and peanut butter -- well, that's what I have nearly every breakfast, but peanut butter? I'd pick that to be my food on a desert island.
Gym, of course, for me, and FOR YOU? Tell me if you regularly go to the gym.Or something like Silver Sneakers --
If the weather is really crummy, and you don't have a stationery bike, then that is what you want for your BIRTHDAY -- you can bike, watch TV, roll your arms -- keep in shape when it's too horrible to go outside --

Tuesday, 11th February -- "And it's gonna be a bright, bright, bright sunny day" -- can't get that song out of my head. Who sang it? Now I hope you start humming/singing it along with me.
A gorgeous Tuesday here in Sausalito even though it's not quite dawn yet so I can't be completely sure unless I believe Alexa's forecast. I ask her what the temperature is and she says "Catherine, it's now 65 degrees ---" Do you have your Alexa say your name when you ask her something? I haven't asked her yet if she loves me -- but she does say the secret to the universe is 42? And who knows where that comes from?
Do not shirk your physical responsibilities today -- 30 minutes cardio. You may watch TV while you do it, but you want to MOVE those legs. If you're on the bike pedaling, also roll your arms at the same time (but you don't have to chew gum too) -- getting all these birds with one stone -- DO IT.

Thursday, 6th February -- Well, Yours Truly is down and out. Every single frigging cold is different -- this one is violent coughing, which attains new heights during the night. Yes, yes, I'm whining, sorry. I think most of the day will be in bed today. I spoke to my new editor Hannah yesterday. She seems nice and conscientious -- she has an excellent background and an obvious love for books -- like all of us, which a good thing. So, all digits crossed.
The third Grayson Sherbrooke novella will be out bundled with the first two -- so you won't be able to it separately. The audio publisher says novellas are just too short and this is the way to go. I'll let you know when it's up. The greatest audio reader on earth -- Anne Flosnik -- will, of course be reading The Ancient Spirits of Sedgwick House. I would finish the fourth novella, The Virgin Bride of Northcliffe Hall this week, but hey, I really feel crappy. (that's the working title, not crappy, mind you, but The Virgin Bride of Northcliffe Hall) So who remembers the Virgin Bride?
Today, I'm going to try to climb on the bike and make my legs move up and down a bit, see how that feels. You guys, prayers and well wishes would be appreciated and I will picture all of you exercising your brains out because you are all so virtuous.

Wednesday, 5th February -- Everyone's doing okay or taking care of stuff so you can be doing okay -- same here, caught a cold (not the flu!) --
Did you hear about the cruise ship to China, 8 people caught the Corona virus and now they're all quarantined in Japan. Wild. The Chinese government -- it always amazes me their reaction to bad stuff happening in their country. "It's no big deal. Only one person caught the virus, not the thousands some idiot foreign reporters have said" We'll see -- let me know if you hear anything.
Writing today and going over edits for DEADLOCK. I now have a new editor -- will meet her soon, I suppose. Hello, Hannah -- if you're reading this.
Everyone, it's party time and that means your body wants to party, so, here's what you do: rather than putting chocolate cake down your gullet, you climb aboard a lovely tread mill or bike or put on those sneakers and head outside to run your heart out -- and you're thinking this is absolutely wonderful party cake.

Halloween's coming up fast, the day the zombies burst out of the ground and terrify the crap out of us, not to mention eat our candy and eat our brains.
Update on BOMBSHELL, the 17th FBI Thriller: I'm nearly finished with the edit. The cover is very cool, explodes with eye-popping color. BOMBSHELL is set in Maestro, Va., (the setting of the 10th FBI thriller, POINT BLANK) and in Washington.
JEWEL OF THE LION (first thriller in A Brit in the FBI series partnered with J.T. Ellison). JEWEL moves fast and you don't know what's going to happen on the next page, and you're biting your toenails or a zombie's toenails. J.T. is an excellent plotter and that means when we brainstorm no plot gets left behind.
Alas, no kids want candy enough to crawl up our oxygen-deprived steep driveway, and the sad thing is, I still have a big bowl of candy, every year, but no one comes, not even the zombies with brain bags.
Take care, Catherine
