Wednesday, 1st April -- April Fool's Day!!1 Try to think of something to amuse your family, bring a little big of joy into the day.
Now, everyone's gotten their opinions out there about the coronavirus, (or whatever you want to call it) we can move on, all right? We're all in this (whatever you want to call it) TOGETHER so no more unpleasantness -- as many of you said we have far more critical things to worry about, like (and this sounds really small, but isn't at all) keeping our families as settled and calm and "clued in" as possible. How about board games? Or do the teenagers think they're really too lame? Like Monopoly, Scrabble, Game of Life -- all the oldies but goodies. Or, even better, have teenagers gather around you and zoom and face time relatives and friends.
What are you doing with teenagers in your family? Do they understand if they form gaggles, they could be killing their grandparents? Have you made sure they really "get" it? My niece, I'm sad to say, went to Florida on Spring Break, but luckily got scared (her mother was yelling at her every five minutes on her cell phone, texting her every other minute, and she got herself home after one day. I still see lots of photos with people herding together -- and many -- no most -- are young. Take action, if you see this -- (who cares if they call you names or give you the finger) -- maybe it'll get one of them to head home (like my niece) and yell out.
Remember, everyone who comes here to this Facebook page every single day, cares about everyone else who comes here every single day. Naturally, we don't all have agreement on any given topic, but who cares? This is together time, people, no time to criticize or mock or whine -- GREAT DAY, really, we can all do it.

Tuesday, 31st March -- Well, guess what, that excellent advice I gave you about being immune to the virus after you had it -- well -- and isn't this simply wonderful -- (sarcasm), Carole pointed out there have been a couple of reports out of Asia that this isn't necessarily true, which means I jumped the gun. Does it mean people are still shedding the virus? Don't know. Maybe. So that means we have to wait and find out. BIG DRAT. So, we have to wait and see --
When I tell you I hike everyday, please understand -- I live on the edge of a wilderness area -- very very few folk out -- and yes, as of yesterday, more trails closed along with all the parks and beaches. Still all I have to do is drive out a ways -- So, no, I'm not playing around with this.
I'd like your opinion on that preacher arrested in Florida, holding services. Is he that good to convince people they would be protected by God? Do you think all the congregation should have been arrested too? (theoretically since there would be enough jail room). Is he as good as the guy in Jonestown all those years ago? What do you think?
Outside, if you can. If you're not allowed to set your nose outside the door, like in NYC, then walk around your house or apt. and put on exercise videos. It's vital you keep healthy and strong. Or you could Zoom with a trainer --

Friday, 13th March -- Oh wow -- end of the week yet again and isn't that great?! This is the time for lots of family -- for keeping everyone calm and centered, away from panic since that wouldn't do a single positive thing. One thing I can recommend strongly: WEAR COTTON GLOVES -- you're thinking yeah, right, but -- NO BUTS -- say you're washing your hands religiously, but what about the railing you touch when walking down steep stairs? Or door knobs or opening your car door? And the biggie: the super market!!! So many thing we never ever think about and it really is impossible to remember everything. But if you simply wear cotton gloves whenever you leave the house -- you're golden -- and wash the glovesdaily, okay?
Okay, everyone's in a take extra car, avoid crowds, keep your family calm and "up" -- and WEAR GLOVES.
Yes, my black cotton gloves will be on my hands when I walk into the gym today -- Don't forget, folk, keep strong, focus on anything positive you can find -- and do not listen to the media or internet -- Only pay attention when you have the daily CDC docs speaking every day. I do hope everyone sees these?

Thursday, 12th March -- I wish to retract BIG TIME what I wrote yesterday about being in your twenties with a bit of moolah and traveling everywhere cheap. No, good grief, then those twenty-somethings would come home and very probably will have the virus and spread it. SO I TAKE IT BACK and have smacked myself for ever writing that in the first place.
This is worth saying again and again Purell and all that stuff gives the illusion of helping, but THE VERY BEST thing you can do is WASH YOUR HANDS all the time. Another benefit -- we'll very probably reduce the number of regular flu cases because everyone is washing their hands.
If you go to the GYM -- here's what I do -- I wear cotton gloves -- it totally takes away the concern -- And then, of course, you wash them.
Who has made their own hand sanitizer?
Remember, if you're in the danger group (anyone over 60), it's super important to stay as strong as possible, and the very best thing -- yes, I'll say it again -- is CARDIO -- get your heart rate up, get your muscles humming -- get as strong as you can.

Tuesday, 10th March -- Those of you thinking about a cruise or already have one booked -- let me just say we have a 3,000 passenger huge Princess liner parked outside the Golden Gate -- quarantined -- slowly, slowly, as people are cleared, they're tendered in to fly home -- Really think about it plus it's doubtful cruise ships are going to be going anywhere for a while -- again, common sense.
Yes, the MEDIA only cares about getting more people to watch them so they can make more money. So any tidbit they can find anywhere in the world, they're going to splash it everywhere and scare the crap out of us. I wish they'd all just SHUT UP. Everyone knows how to be careful, so enough is enough. The TP thing is all over the world, evidently, again, thanks to the worldwide media whipping up the frenzy. SO, the solution? STOP WATCHING TV and READING NEWSPAPERS and particularly, --- STAY OFF INTERNET SITES WITH ALL THE WONDROUS HORROR STORIES -- Everyone agree? Call your relatives, chat, send your love, call friends -- use your brains -- Just common sense -- that's it.
Yes, going to the gym -- and bump heels with all friends -- lots of cardio, people, you have to keep fit and healthy and not worry about TP.

Thursday, 5th March -- A couple of you have written about making your own Purell -- aloe vera and alcohol? Please give us more since there's a shortage of this type product -- But always WASH those hands, not just a rub or two, but keep doing it say 5 seconds.
And pray for warm weather --
The week is winding down FAST -- always such a surprise, wake up on Monday and then -- fast forward and it's Thursday.
Braining storming the FBI #25 -- lots and lots of fun with two other Big Brains with great imaginations -- Send me more titles -- remember, words like Enigma, Paradox, Labyrinth -- like that. Bless you.
We still have Purell at our gym. How about yours? If not, then it's washing hands after every other machine you use. Keep hands away from your face, that's the biggie and no handshaking.
Lots of cardio on my schedule today, and intervals -- you know, 30 seconds as fast as you can go on the bike, then ten seconds slow, then up again -- for 5 minutes -- then for the rest, you can be medium. Sound good? Everyone have bands? Weights?

Wednesday, 4th March -- You're coming up with all sort of neat words for the next FBI title, a couple could be possibilities -- please, keep feeding me more, two at a time.
Everyone -- don't forget, when you get to the gym you use Purell every ten minutes and be sure to keep your hands away from your face -- that's a really tough one, supposedly we touch our faces over 200 times a day. You might want to order up some Purell, and use often.
Travel Advice: On the plane, make sure the air conditioning outlet is coming down on your head and face. Why? The air is filtered, and will push away bad stuff from passengers around you.
DO NOT SHAKE ANYONE'S HAND -- bump elbows or bump butts, both are fine, but maybe the bump butt is more fun. All in all, common sense -- All digits crossed that head experts are right -- hopefully the corona virus will lessen dramatically with the coming of warm weather. Make it so --
Yep, I'm gymming today -- with all the precautions -- don't hesitate to do what you're used to doing, what you want to do, what you need to do -- just take reasonable precautions, okay?
Can't wait to do interval training on the bike today -- makes me feel warm and virtuous and STRONG and super "on top of things" -- nothing like a good solid workout to make the world look bright, even make your enemies acceptable, for the most part.

Tuesday, 3rd March -- I forget Green Eggs & Ham -- yep, that one's my favorite.
Slept on the first chapter of FBI #25 -- and came up with a brand new one -- it's going to be at ground zero -- at the party where everything hit the fan and bad stuff happened. Oh yeah -- one of the major character names is Mia Briscoe. She's pretty cool although I don't know her at all well yet, but I will. It will be interesting to see what she thinks, what she does, how she reacts when she finds out the "truth". I'll keep you posted.
Please keep sending me 2 titles at a time -- none click yet -- keep trying --
Today is mainly cardio and tris and bis and gut -- How about you guys?

Friday, 28th February -- If you're on the fence about the shingles shots -- read what so many of you have written -- Just do it, no matter your age, no matter if you've had shingles before.
Okay, if you don't always receive the newsletters in your email, now it'll always be here on Facebook. So no more hasslement.
The publishing procedure -- it's always so interesting -- (DEADLOCK -- it will be out July 28th.) I haven't yet gotten the copy-edited manuscript back, but say in a couple of week. Already, the jacket flap copy is done and in, already the cover in done -- you can see it wherever you pre-order -- I think this one's a winner -- took a while to find the right approach and the right colors. Do let me know what you think.
I'll be signing lots of "tip sheets" -- my signature in the front of the hardcover and they bind it in with the book for both Barnes & Noble and Books A Million --
Ah next Monday is the lst -- and doesn't that make you grin big since Spring is here very shortly. One of the experts on the Coronavirus gave the opinion that if the virus runs the similar course to other viruses, then come warmer weather, it should abate. All digits crossed. Come March, Come April!!!
Work your heart out today -- I can see you shaking your head, thinking about washing your hair or working on your spark plugs rather than working on your body -- Come on, Guys -- do you not realize how critical this is? Get off your collective duffs and get up your heart rate and maybe even sweat a little --

Thursday, 27th February -- Those of you who have any concerns/questions about the Shingles vaccine -- GOOGLE it. If you still have questions, call your doc. If there's a waiting list, don't just throw up your hands, GO ELSEWHERE, like Safeway or any other grocery store with a pharmacy. If you've had shingles before, you should be first in line because you know how bad it can be. DO IT -- this is nothing to monkey around with.
Can you believe it's Thursday, ALREADY? I can feel my cells getting older.
Everyone, the February newsletter should magically appear on Facebook today -- tomorrow at the latest -- there are so many of you who seem to "fall through the cracks" I decided this was the best way to go.
Today is a lovely day to stretch those muscles, nice and easy, now -- then head out and walk, walk, walk. If you want to run or skip or dance -- that'd be great -- and while you're out be sure to say something to every person you pass. Don't let a single stranger pass by you without a big smile and a Hi. Then at home, strip, stand in front of the mirror, arms straight out at your sides, and roll, first back 12 times, then forward -- feel the lovely burn. Do as many times as you can and give the sticky eye ball to the tris -- this is for both guys and gals --

Halloween's coming up fast, the day the zombies burst out of the ground and terrify the crap out of us, not to mention eat our candy and eat our brains.
Update on BOMBSHELL, the 17th FBI Thriller: I'm nearly finished with the edit. The cover is very cool, explodes with eye-popping color. BOMBSHELL is set in Maestro, Va., (the setting of the 10th FBI thriller, POINT BLANK) and in Washington.
JEWEL OF THE LION (first thriller in A Brit in the FBI series partnered with J.T. Ellison). JEWEL moves fast and you don't know what's going to happen on the next page, and you're biting your toenails or a zombie's toenails. J.T. is an excellent plotter and that means when we brainstorm no plot gets left behind.
Alas, no kids want candy enough to crawl up our oxygen-deprived steep driveway, and the sad thing is, I still have a big bowl of candy, every year, but no one comes, not even the zombies with brain bags.
Take care, Catherine
