Tuesday, 15th December -- I hope lots of you saw the super exciting game last night between the Browns and the Ravens. I only wish the Browns had pulled it out. Well, sigh -- Week 14: I'm 3-2, to date: 41-24. I know, I know, there are those of you who believe my "to date" is wrong, but I changed it for Terri, -- it's close enough.
I'll be posting lots of photos taken yesterday on the hike all over the pier by the Bay -- the sun was bright and sparkling over the water and it was nippy, perfect. The first is the seagull and the GG.
Sending off THIS VERY MORNING -- YEA!!! -- VORTEX. Now I can say it's up for pre-order, I never like to say that before the book's actually in, I guess it's a sort of superstition of mine.
What am I going to do now? Why write the 5th Grayson Sherbrooke Otherworldly Adventure -- Anyone have a favorite demon or spirit?
It's not supposed to rain again until tomorrow, so another nice big hike -- yesterday was about 2 miles -- plenty for moi. Everyone able to get outside? Don't forget wherever you go, take photos. Also, I love all the Christmas tree photos you're sending.
Such a marvelous season -- be sure to add your smile and your Christmas or Holiday or Hanukah wishes to everyone you see --

Friday, 11th December -- Okay, guys, we're getting there, getting to Christmas and singing and eating Hummingbird cake which goes directly to the thighs, zooming family, and -- ta da -- opening presents. Okay, something big to look forward to, chins up.
WEEK 14 -- NFL
I'm starting out 0-1 with the poor Patriots really exiting the stadium. It will be interesting to see what Belichick does for next season because this season is down the toilet.

Walking today, I've got to keep it nice and flat since I really overdid it on Wednesday, yep, I was a moron. Maybe walking through downtown Tiburon, that's always nice and there'll be decorations. And it's super flat.
What are you up to today, other than moving all those body parts, greeting the beautiful day, grateful to be alive and kicking? All of you, STAY SAFE, BE SMART, because you never know when someone else is going to be an idiot.

Wednesday,9th December. Question: Do you think of Dak Prescott had been QB last night in the Dallas vs. Washington game, the Cowboys would have won? I wish all of you could have been with me out at Rodeo Beach yesterday -- the photo is amazing, but not close to the reality -- huge waves -- it was a red flag warning -- and white froth for maybe a hundred yards out. And those waves on steroids, breaking next to a giant freighter out at least a half a mile. You stand in awe and stare but yes, of course you walk, walk, walk. Everyone has beauty around them, your task is to find it and wallow.
No football tonight, feels sort of weird.
The Thursday Night Game -- Patriots and Rams -- well, I gotta go with the Patriots, the heart is louder than the brain. How about you guys?

Tuesday, 8th December -- All done, every single gift wrapped -- I even tugged the box with all the wrapping, the bag with all the ribbons and bows and tissue paper (you get the idea) back into the garage where it'll be 'neated' up before going back to storage until next September. (three more boxes out there, all in disarray)
Poor Steelers -- beaten by Washington -- they had Larry Csanka from the 1972 Dolphins (the only perfect season plus Super Bowl) and he was smoking a cigar, drinking a beer, smiling, "I like Washington" -- so the Steelers bit the dust -- It was too bad -- they played 3 games in 12 days and seemed discombobulated -- I think I'd be discombobulated too -- that's asking a lot, still they're pros, and you do what you gotta do. Or go down really trying.
I hope all of you were outside yesterday, You could have been walking, hiking, skipping, wandering around a mall, doesn't matter. Again, you have to have exercise, you have to breathe fresh air. Dry air -- bad, so again, if that's a problem, get yourself a humidifier, open a window, keep air circulating.
Okay, I'll shut up. I just don't want any of you to get the virus.
All Christmas presents are mailed out today, or we get started. It's always a bummer to see my "empty" office with all the presents gone.
Go forth and show through example -- always put that mask up when someone's coming --

Monday, 7th December. Huge big incredible happening: This week in NFL football, I was actually, no lie, I promise: 5-0. I think this has happened maybe once in the years we've been doing this. And the Giants beat the Seahawks last night -- now that was amazing. To date, I'm 38-22. Those of you who stuck with me, are perfect for this week as well. YEA!
Things are very scary out here in California. I pull up my mask at home now when anyone comes close. No nothing extra outside the house, or even bringing people in the house, not even the blessed Cantina outside -- until well into January. COVID is very very virulent right now because of the cold weather, so people, you keep to yourself, get outside and exercise as much as you can, it's the healthiest thing you can do and always wear the mask. I want all of us to survive this and that means being nearly paranoid, all right?
Yep, nice long walk today. I expect no less from you guys. It's now not just a matter of staying safe, it's really for your physical and mental health. If you see an idiot without a mask on the sidewalk or on a trail, you turn your back to them, sure say hi, and if you feel like it, "where's your mask?"

Wrapping the last of the Christmas presents today, what fun.
Actually, Marin County closes down on Tuesday -- not all the way, but no more outdoor dining, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I mean, you're outdoors. Everyone stay safe, you go out, you have that bloody mask on and you keep it on, okay?

Wednesday, 2nd December -- Yea, it's the Christmas season and the Hanukah season and other seasons as well but bottom line, it's a season for smiles and giving, and excitement,, a wonderful time that allows us to reflect, to make plans and be aware it's all going to be fine. You're committed to being smart, you keep your kids, relatives, neighbors on the same smart path and you don't take any stupid chances, like the governor of California (eating in a restaurant with a bunch of people, no masks). Be vigilant.
I'm going with the Steelers today -- I love they're undefeated it -- And Big Ben -- may he play like the champion he is.
No photos from hike yesterday, nothing struck me, but lots of gorgeous green hills and valleys and low mountains -- but I've learned they simply don't look as amazing in photographs.
Today, we'll see. All of you, we're all walking/hiking together, linked through our imaginations, and we're really gung-ho, right?

Tuesday, 1st December -- December is finally here, what a wonderful month, full of such hope and good wishes and plans and gift buying/mailing, alas, not giving in person in many cases. So, hello, December, may your days pass slowly giving us lots of build up.
Week 12 NFL -- Steelers/Ravens don't play now until Wednesday afternoon. We'll see -- Lamar Jackson, QB Ravens, isn't scheduled to play.
Terri tells me I'm wrong on my to-date totals: She says I should be 36-24 -- so since I hear she's very rarely wrong, I've made the adjustment. Most of you guys are beating me, which, of course, is what has usually happens in past years.
It's foggy and cold here right now. Fog should lift and it'll get maybe up to near 60 degrees -- so a nice walk we've actually never done before -- yep, I'll take photos, hope it's spectacular.
So get out there, feet in sneakers pounding the pavement or skipping over the grass -- Exercise is one of the few things in your control to keep your body healthy and happy, right? If you don't exercise, you're inviting all sorts of nasty things to happen to you. DO NOT LET NASTY THINGS HAPPEN TO YOU -- Walking/hiking is one major thing in your control so make a plan and stick to it. No more preaching -- at least for today.

Monday, 30th November -- Week 12: Saints won and Browns won plus my Thursday picks won so I ended up at 3-2 (Raiders didn't show up against the Falcons -- amazing -- and the Chiefs certainly did show up in the Bucs) To date I'm 35-20, which doesn't entirely suck and it isn't wonderful either. How are you guys doing?
Going through VORTEX -- you might think this is terribly boring to go through each chapter again, hunting for typos and bad sentences or word selections, or unresolved loose ends, you might be going YUCK, but the thing is I really enjoy it -- a challenge and it's nice to see the characters progress --
A hike today -- a nice long one to make up for the pulsing thighs from Thanksgiving.
The photos from the Marin Headlands -- they're amazing because much of the time it's fogged in. It was incredibly clear so I'll be posting several more photos -- people were just standing around, staring, a fine experience.
