Tuesday, 19th January -- we're coming up on my very least favorite month of the year -- I don't believe February should have ever been invented, waste of precious days plunked down in the middle of an inhospitable season (Most places anyway) and what good does it do? None. Long ago, some brain came up with Valentine's Day right in the middle of the month to maybe relieve the tedium, the boredom, the impatience. All right, there's the money angle too, not to be forgotten -- but I figure this year, all the folk who make most their profits for Valentine's Day deserve it. Since it's going to happen no matter what anyone says, why not support your local stores that will push Valentine's -- buy cards and candy and flowers. Excellent combo. But, I'm getting ahead of myself -- just hold that thought.
All goes along fine here -- same old, same old, just like you -- hiked maybe a mile and a half yesterday, it was really warm, in the 70s here so folk were out in shorts and tank tops.
I agree with Peyton -- I don't think Drew Brees should retire. It's his ribs, no wonder he wasn't able to throw a ball farther than 20 yards. I mean 9 broken ribs -- He needs to regroup, that's all, put things in perspective --
Everyone, I know it's probably a misery outside, but if you can, if you can ummph yourself, go out and wave and shout Hello and get those muscles moving and limber. Trust me, it's worth it.

Monday, 18th January: Well, what a weekend. Play-offs -- I came out 2-2. The Browns came close and I do wonder what would happen if not for that absurd fumble in the end zone rule -- CHANGE IT!!! Who knows though? Hope Mahomes is going to be okay. That was quite a knock on the head.
The Bucs won -- well, their defense played a HUGE part -- imagine, Drew had 4 turnovers -- that's gotta hurt. I do hope this isn't his last season. What do you guys think? Does anyone know for sure either way?
To date: I'm 62-33
It's going to be in the 70s here today -- unheard of -- nice to walk without a sweater or a jacket.
Coming to the denouement of The Red Witch of BlueStone Folly (Yes, I changed the name of the house, might change it again. What do you guys think?) Give me names -- it has to have "something" Stone Folly, for example, Blackstone Folly, Ravenstone Folly, like that.
Outside, folks, snow angel or hiker -- let your local weather make your decision.

Sunday, 17th January -- Well, I am 1-1. My heart wasn't any good -- the Rams got blasted out by the Packers, expected, of course. Now, today, who agrees with me the Browns will overthrow the Chiefs? No one? Oh ye of little faith. Don't get me wrong, I love the Chiefs, but the Browns -- it's great they won last weekend, but another incredible win would be awesome. We'll see. One of you wrote about Grandpa Brees playing Grandpa Brady -- it should be a great game, we'll see.

Glad you like that amazing old sailboat on the Bay -- I opened my eyes and looked out the window and there it was. I could have stared at it longer, but both Peyton and Eli were all over me, meowing their heads off, accusing me, doubtless, of trying to starve them to death.
If you don't watch football today, it's outside for you, NO EXCUSES. If you do watch football, hope on your bike and pump those legs -- time will fly by and maybe it you do a whole bunch of minutes, a piece of latticed pumpkin pie will be your reward.

Saturday, 16th January -- Everyone, Janice Horan is home today -- brighten her day, send an ecard to her Facebook page. I do know she'll be watching the games today. I don't know, however, if she's picked with her head or her heart --
Okay, one last time:

Now, I want you to stand at one end of your living room, focus on a point at the opposite end, waist high, -- heel to toe, walk the length of your living room, turn around, find the waist high point and walk back, heel to toe back. Can you balance both ways? without falling off the straight line? If you can, then heel to toe, only slower. Let me know how you make out.
Last, stand tall, turn neck ONLY one way until you're looking at a spot out of the corner of your eye. Come back to center, go the other way. Slowly, then make a half circle each way, first head down, then half circle, head up, several times each way, then a full circle with your head both ways.-- You'll hear all sorts of crunchies.
I'm told even after you have the vaccine, you're not good to go for two weeks so continue being extra careful. And actually, we'll continue wearing masks very probably until the virus leaves our planet. What are you being told? Is distribution being to go more smoothly and faster in your state?
Everyone, it's a gorgeous Saturday. Make soup, clean out the garage, make a cup of cocoa or read a good book or DO IT ALL UNTIL the games start --
I do wonder what Christmas will be like next year.

Thursday, 14th January -- All of you have seen lattices on top of pies, right? you know, criss-crossing strips of pastry? Adds more calories and more bliss? You can do it on pumpkin too -- you just bake the strips then gently lay them on top of the nearly-done pumpkin pie. They will not sink. And then you know what you can do? You can just as gently lift off the lattice strips and have pastry with the taste of pumpkin. Are your thighs pulsing yet? If wo, run up and down the stairs three times without stopping and without passing Go. Your thighs will forget about the yummy lattice strips.
Glad you like Peyton and his Yoga posses -- he's such a little ham. Treat? Oh yes indeed. And Eli assures me he'll be just fine with the carpet cleaner guy if he has treats to calm him. Am I a sucker, or what?

Tuesday, 12th January -- Sorry, I wrote I was 6-4 this past weekend. Alas, there weren't ten games, only six. But everything else is right, just that one synapse collapse.
Just realized I had a super problem in the Grayson Sherbrooke novella -- phew! will address it today and hopefully fix it up right and tight.
Who watched the college championship last night, Alabama and Ohio? I was worried for a while that Sabin would run the score up to one hundred -- but luckily Ohio didn't throw in the towel. Of course all good athletes want to go to the winningest school, that is, to Alabama. It must be tough to recruit top talent out of high school if you're not sitting on top.
Everyone, butts out into the fresh air today, but before you go, hey, even before you get dressed, stand in front of the mirror , arms straight out to your sides, and roll 12 times forward then 12 times back. Repeat until you're cursing me. Next, 1)Shoulders up to your ears (2) Shoulders back at tight as you can (3) drop shoulders. Al one fluid movement. Great for back and posture --
You'll hear crunchies -- this is fine -- Call one family member today -- okay?

Monday, 11th January: FIREWORKS IN CLEVELAND LAST NIGHT -- I hope everyone saw that not-to-be-believed game last night between the Browns and the Steelers. When Pouncy got the ball back to Big Ben too high and the Browns fell on it for a touchdown I was thinking, well, that's good, at least they won't be blanked. But then -- incredible string of events -- So Congratulations to Cleveland. and to the Browns' coach in the basement.
For this weekend, I was on Saturday 2-1 (The Seahawks lost to the Rams)
Sunday - 2-1 (Titans lost to Ravens)
So far I'm 6-4, to date: 60-31
How'd you guys do? We have four games this upcoming weekend, I'll post on Thursday, then again on Friday --
Everyone, it's out and about time today -- no rain, no snow, you're in your sneakers, dashing out the door, ready to inhale the wonderful winter air. No excuses or I'm calling the minions. After that lovely slug weekend, we gotta put in the time and keep the bod happy.

Sunday, 10th January -- How did everyone do yesterday -- that is, how did you do if you played the NFL play-offs? I'm 2-1 -- the Rams beat the Seahawks. I thought it was a great game and pray Wolford, the back-up QB will be all right. I haven't heard yet, seems to be a neck injury. Well done, Rams. So, to date, I'm 58-30. What are you guys, to date? Now three more big games -- what fun.
If you're not involved in the games, then it's outside for you to exercise for all of us slug, all right? Just give up a minute -- (I'll take it, everyone else can make their own requests.)
More Christmas coming down -- by the end of this upcoming week, my house will be bare and naked and I'll shake my head and think what happened?
