Saturday, 15th May -- Cool, overcast, altogether yummy sinking under the covers and snoozing and the kitters come along (breakfast chowed down) to snuggle and purr and lick whatever part of you their tongues can reach -- hard to snooze with the sandpaper tongues on your neck.
I hadn't known there were LOCKS everywhere! Goodness, I love the photos you've sent -- but you can sure understand that, as Janice puts it, it's like barnacles and sooner or later, down in the drink the bridge goes.
A lovely walk today, hoodie up, of course, and breathing in deeply that amazing May air. The same for you guys?

Wednesday, 12th May -- I'M BACK ON THE PLANET!
What an amazing time I had -- no, not in the Antarctic. but being off the grid for a while renews the spirit, jump-starts the enthusiasm mechanism that gives one the right focus.
I hope all of you are well and enjoying the incredible May -- it's gorgeous here, sunny and rain dances remain a request, but the beauty of our world is not something to take for granted. We are all very lucky --
Everyone vaccinated? One of you wrote me that the articles she'd read on the internet convinced her the vaccines weren't necessary and DANGEROUS -- my reply? If you want to believe what you read on the internet, you seriously need help. Agreed?
It's great to be home and with you again --

April 16, 2021

Friday, 16th April -- I'm not lying, really, can you believe it? Yep, it's yet again a Friday with tacos looming, ready to present themselves tomorrow at The Cantina. The space-time continuum -- time keeps leaping ahead, screws the space thing all up. Yes, I know I'm right.
Work today -- I didn't get to that scene I was talking about yesterday, had to listen to Chopin, pick out what I wanted the orchestra to play and Emma Hunt -- I'm going to have her fingers flying! I love Chopin. Do you? Who is your favorite classical composer?
Today, it's beautiful and sunny and not a cloud in the sky and NO RAIN -- walk with me in spirit, it's going to be fun, stretch those legs, plant those feet and go for it. At least a mile. Does everyone have a device to tell them how far they've walked? My iWatch used to, but it went haywire -- can't get into the Apple Store (talk about crowded!!!!!) to buy a new one.
Everyone, last day of the week. Make it special and make it fun.
Did everyone get the April newsletter? If not, let me know.

April 15, 2021

Thursday, 15th April -- The April newsletter is written, you should be getting it today or tomorrow -- Hope you get a chuckle.
It struck me in the very middle of the night what's going to happen with this main character in the next action scene in RECKONING-- goodness, it shivers me timbers. No, sorry, those are the vicious Fido pirates that Peyton and Eli vanquished without the help of a parrot named Dali flying over to eyeball things below. Not a fighter, that boyo. Sorry, I was momentarily caught between realities. Fingers crossed it's a good scene.
Today it's gorgeous again, but WE NEED RAIN -- You've told me you're dancing, but I can't feel it. You need to exert a bit more enthusiasm and vigor into your moves, all right? Since a lot of you out there need rain as well, I will deliver my best dance moves on the Alta trail this afternoon. Let's all get involved.
And that brings us to: GET YOURSELVES OUTSIDE AND MOVE AROUND, walk to a particular destination, maybe a store so you have a reward. SBB -- Your 2021 motto: BE FIT.

April 14, 2021

Wednesday, 14th April -- Some of you have told me your governors have dropped the mask requirement and opened up one hundred percent--Since not everyone is vaccinated, can you tell me why? Can you tell me what you're doing and what you think about this?
The only place I don't wear a mask is at home and everyone here is vaccinated so we have a larger bubble. Please, wear masks when you go out -- protect yourself. If you're not yet vaccinated, get yourself signed up. It should be really easy now, so DO IT. Please, I don't want any of you to catch COVID --
Sherlock is sitting in the back of Kennedy Center listening to Emma Hunt rehearse (The Target, Backfire) and the back door slowly opens -- no, don't worry, Sherlock's on it. There's a seeming stalker involved. We'll see. Ah, the possibilities. But Sherlock's on it, never fear.
The proofreader found errors on about 45 more pages in VORTEX -- I want this person to wear a crown -- it's so amazing, things I never saw, or the other four people who proofed the book. Mistakes really are sneaky, but at least we nipped off these.
Walking today out to the ocean, never tire of that, but maybe you're getting tired of all the bay and ocean photos -- but what can I do? Well, there are Peyton and Eli -- they're always good subjets.
I want you guys when you're out to take photos, dogs, cats, birds, scenery, even a selfie -- and be happy, okay? This is the only life any of us will ever have, so it's incumbent on us to try and enjoy every single day we're given.

April 13, 2021

Tuesday, 13th April -- Okay, guys, I really need your help. We're nearing drought conditions here in Marin, well the whole area really. We haven't had it this bad since the past century. So, I'm asking that all you head outside, you face West -- well, if you're in the south, NorthWest, but you get the idea -- and now play your favorite song and start dancing. In a circle? Sure, why not? Line dancing with friends/neighbors? That would be grand. Whatever works for you -- Please!!
Marin is the most vaccinated county in California. 66% of everyone over 16 has had the vaccine. BIG YEA -- It's so cool to see people out and about -- I mean the outdoor shopping malls are packed, all in masks, so that's good. It really looked back to normal here, traffic-wise, that is big congestion at rush hour.
How about where you live? Getting back to normal? Everyone getting the vaccine? Do keep proof you've been vaccinated -- important for when you travel --
Everyone, out and dance, then walk a mile, maybe another rain dance.

April 12, 2021

Monday, 12th April -- Does everyone have their taxes in? Already have refunds? Did you use H&R Block, someone like that, or one of those services online? Or do you do it yourself? Or, if you're really complicated like me, you have a accountant, but if you use Quicken, it's really pretty easy.
Yesterday, for the first time in over a year, went to a shopping mall, the walking around kind, and actually went into stores, what an amazing experience. So many people were out and about. It was grand.
Today, it's a nice long walk then going to a friends new apartment and having a blast placing pictures on the walls.
After you've had your outing, that is, walking your feet off, what are you doing?

April 11, 2021

Sunday, 11th, April -- Isn't that photo of the sailboats in Tiburon? It was cool and sunny, so many people out and about. What really surprised and pleased me was that Sausalito was PACKED with visitors -- everyone was having a great time, as I said, eating ice cream, going into all the stores, eating outside, all the sidewalks were packed with tables and food and people -- YEA -- Life looked like it was back to normal, but not quite yet. We have a couple of relatives who think the virus and/or the vaccine is all propaganda, or they want to put it off until they know it's safe????? I can't remember all the excuses -- The Outer Banks Family Reunion is the middle of June. Our stand is we do not want to take responsibility for a family member catching COVID, so no vaccine, then don't come. Too harsh? Well, an antibody test will do it too. Sigh -- What would you guys do? You're hosting 40 people and you want everyone to have fun and know they're safe.
Out and about, guys, beautiful day, beckoning you into gorgeous nature. It's snowing you say? Okay, if it's snowing, you are authorized to stay in bed and snuggle with your critter and drink hot chocolate. SBB!

April 10, 2021

Saturday, 10th April -- Well, did everyone see Dali from Australia? His photo and what he had to say is below Peyton's photo (on my FB page). He had a lot to say and I'm sure Peyton will respond. He is cute, maybe even adorable, even though Peyton probably would say he's got beady eyes and he's too green. We'll see. I'll read this to Peyton today and he can proclaim.
Beautiful here today, sunny, nearly 70 -- ah, but where are the rain minions? They've deserted us. If anyone sees them around, yell at them to come back to CA.
It's The Cantina today -- yeah, I know, what a rut, but hey, nothing at all with a TACO rut -- can't wait.
Everyone, get outside and proclaim that your taxes are in and the feds won't come after you. Have a great fun walk and don't forget the mask

April 9, 2021

Friday, 9th of April -- Wait! I was wrong -- the Australian who saved the new-born calf and it's now a part of his family of dogs? Well, it's not a she, it's a Brahmin bull and will eventually weight over 1,800 pounds. Yikes! The news will continue to monitor what happens. Peanuts is his name like I told you, and he follows his "dad" everywhere, and even stands quietly while he's fishing or running with the dogs in water.
Now, this is to make all of you smile -- if you don't smile, you need to be checked out, adjustments made: "Did you hear about the criminal ink? It was in the pen doing a long sentence."
Work today, naturally, RECKONING coming along very well -- then a nice hike, probably by the water, it's simply so beautiful and soothing and makes you feel good. What about you guys? Whatever else you do, keep your SBB and your legs moving.
