Saturday, 27th March --- Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to play we go. Play, you ask? What play? Well, after getting a new iPhone at the Apple Store, I'm actually going to go shopping. First time in a full YEAR -- it's both scary and exciting, I mean, like you're really interacting with salespeople, other customers, going to a dressing room, trying stuff on? It seems like a dream. I'm fully vaccinated, good for 95%, and I'll wear a mask and not get to close, but still -- to actually walk into an real live store. See things on racks rather than on the internet. Actually TOUCH items, feel texture and material -- It's going to be an amazing day. This, naturally, is after TACOS at the Cantina.
So, am I having a more exciting day than you guys? Or if you're fully vaccinated you've already been out to eat with friends?
Inside? Or still outside, like me? Have you actually stepped into a real store with salespeople and stuff to sell you?
Do tell me what you do today. If it's actually shopping and you're not yet vaccinated, you keep that distance and be sure to have that mask plastered on your face.

Friday, 26th March -- YEA, don't you just love Fridays? Even if you don't work during the week, there's still something about Friday, it polishes off the week, makes you look forward to sleeping in for two mornings -- even if you do or don't. Everyone agree?
Since Monday is Pizza day, it's not too awful when that frigging alarm goes off and it's still frigging dark thank you DSL.
Warriors without both Draymond and Curry -- very very sad. I'm looking forward to another loss tonight with the Atlanta Hawks.
And the Lakers, without both LeBron and AD -- they're looking pretty poorly too.
Work today, lots and lots of work other than actually writing, which is always a bummer. Going over first pass pages -- VORTEX -- going over first pass pages with the new Grayson Sherbrooke novella, THE RED WITCH OF RAVENSTONE FOLLY. Should be out in about a month -- still trying to hit the right note with the cover.
Everyone, it's sunny and beautiful out (well, it is here, hopefully too for most of you) and that means it's your FRIDAY walk/hike to a beautiful place where you will take photos and post them here for me to see your hangouts, all right?

Thursday, 25th March -- Can you believe it? March is racing into times past at breakneck speed. I hope the majority of you have gotten vaccinated by now -- if not yet, then soon. Do keep me posted.
Warriors play the Sacramento Kings tonight -- without Curry. Evidently he has a bad tail bone situation -- probably out another week. What a bummer for everybody.
Today is filled with outside stuff, like teeth cleaning in exactly 40 minutes. Been a while, what with Covid. And a full afternoon -- sigh.
Would all of you give me a couple minutes of your walk/hike today? If you do, the exercise minions won't torture me and keep me awake and that means Eli (my bed buddy) will be be disturbed, and you don't want that, do you?
Sing your favorite song while hiking/walking. What is it?

Wednesday, 24th March -- Alas, Curry is still out with the wrecked tail bone -- the Warriors did lead the 76ers for a while in the third quarter, but lost in the end by ten points. Next game is tomorrow evening against the Sacramento Kings. Will Curry be back? Don't have a clue. I wonder if they would have beat the 76ers if he'd played. Probably not.
Today is pizza day. Usually I make pizza on Mondays, but too much stuff going on here, so it's today. And yes, everyone is happy, and yes, I do make the best pizza in the known universe. Also, maybe the unknown universe, who can possibly know?
Out and about, folk -- a great day to get your body moving, keep your muscles stretched and happy and fit -- and NO excuses, except if you're snowed in, then it's the stairs, up and down, for you, okay?
The exercise minions are paying close attention, they always do the end of March.

Tuesday, 23rd March -- Great walk yesterday, about 2 miles -- bright sun, a bit chilly. I want all of you to post photos of your area for me -- I want to see where you live, where you hike -- and don't forget your critters.
Lots of stuff going on today, I won't bore you with details. Needless to say, I won't get much writing done. The "twist" I mentioned yesterday, still uncertain, my writer's brain has to throw it around some more.
Tonight the Warriors play the Philadelphia 76ers -- hopefully Curry's tail bone is all right and tight and he'll play. They were two out of three on their road games, Curry missed two games.
Do some arm rolls in front of the bathroom mirror, 12 X 3 -- arms straight out from body, roll slowly forward 12 times, then back. Make sure your back is nice and straight -- SBB -- and stretch a couple of times before you walk, okay? All is good, all will get even better, vaccinations are going like gangbusters now -- YEA!

Monday, 22nd March -- the yellow wild flowers in the photo are wood sorrel or cape sorrel -- Thank you for educating me.
Beautiful here today, high of 61, which for moi, being half reptile is just about perfect. How is it where you guys live? Are flowers starting to poke up? Ready to give you hope for a lovely colorful spring?
Keep giving me titles -- I love how your brains work, and as you know, I've added to my title list: Bullseye, Reckoning and Countdown. I added a twist to a scene on Friday, I'll see if it's a "go" today -- I think it very might be, so keep your digits crossed.
Walking today, probably the Tennessee Valley trail to the ocean -- it's gorgeous, with hills rising up on both sides and you finally come over a rise and there's the gorgeous blue Pacific. Maybe 2 miles, just about perfect.
Where are you walking today? Wherever you go, be sure to take some photos and post one for everyone to enjoy. If you're tromping in the snow, again, I'll bet you'd see some real beautiful sights. And don't forget, when you walk, SBB!

Sunday, 21st March -- The sunniest city in the U.S. is Yuma, Arizona, with Phoenix and Tucson close seconds. If you have other information, that's okay, but was from my source.
TACOS -- Great, decided to walk the Octopus trail, gorgeous, but inland in a sort of bowl with tons of gorgeous trees and hills rising, then into the forest on a l/4 mile trail that leads back to a magnificent view of Marin and San Francisco -- I'll post that one later today.
So what will you do today that is unusual, something you don't usually do, I don't know, a trampoline, maybe, or going out on a kayak, or just walking in a park and talking to people with your critter at your side? Whatever you do, don't forget, we're kicking Covid's butt, more and more shots in arms (well over 100 million -- that was last week), cases going down, restaurants and business everything opening up -- yeah! Let me know what's happening in your area. If you haven't gotten vaccinated yet, get online and sign up. Do not huff and puff and say, well, why get the shot, I don't need it, I heard it could give me all sorts of vile thing, maybe maim me, hurt my car, make my mother's hair fall out, whatever -- This is nonsense, keep yourself safe and others safe too. GET IT. We'll all be so much safer --

Saturday, 20th March -- In addition to Shannon's BULLSEYE, Deborah Ross suggested RECKONING and Allen John COUNTDOWN -- these three are added to the list, we'll see what the publisher has to say. Thank you guys -- come on, everyone, give me more titles!
Who knows what city in the United States has the most sunny days? (no, this isn't a funny joke, this is for real)
It's out to the Cantina for TACOS and then a lovely walk along the trail at Rodeo Beach high above the ocean.
Whatever you guys are up, do it with joy, a word we so rarely hear now in the time of COVID. Smile and count your blessings and if you have kids around, give them lots of attention.

Friday, 19th March -- HOW DOES A BIRD BREAK A BIRDFEEDER? Wally Gregg is the winner: WITH A CROWBAR.
Well, I'm looking out at a cypress tree right next to my house and beyond is ALL GRAY. It's not supposed to rain today, but it sure looks like it's going to dump any moment. We'll see. We got a nice soaking yesterday.
Is Denver at last out from under? The one photo posted was awesome -- I've never seen that much snow in one place.
Today is for me -- BIG SURPRISE -- work.
Shannon Johnson gave me a title that will go with the list for the publisher: BULLSEYE. What does everyone think? So far, I've got Catalyst, Payback, Haywire -- so tell me what strikes you -- or doesn't.
If it rains here, it's the stairs for me and the bike. How about you guys?

Thursday, 18th March -- Great rainy morning here today -- the hills are green and the dribs and drabs of rain are just the ticket. I'm still seeing incredible amount of snow -- particularly the photo from Denver. GOOD GRIEF -- I'll bet the snow plows are working triple over time. Are things pretty clean today?
Keep titles coming --
If it's not raining, it's a nice hike at Cavallo Point, just like yesterday, maybe a mile and a half. It was and will be a little muddy but the sneakers really don't care. Yes, that's what they told me. Where will you walk/hike today? Do post a photo so I can see your views and scenery. Okay, don't forget when you walk, SBB!!!!
I can't wait to see what Eli decides to do to the rude feline interviewer.

Halloween's coming up fast, the day the zombies burst out of the ground and terrify the crap out of us, not to mention eat our candy and eat our brains.
Update on BOMBSHELL, the 17th FBI Thriller: I'm nearly finished with the edit. The cover is very cool, explodes with eye-popping color. BOMBSHELL is set in Maestro, Va., (the setting of the 10th FBI thriller, POINT BLANK) and in Washington.
JEWEL OF THE LION (first thriller in A Brit in the FBI series partnered with J.T. Ellison). JEWEL moves fast and you don't know what's going to happen on the next page, and you're biting your toenails or a zombie's toenails. J.T. is an excellent plotter and that means when we brainstorm no plot gets left behind.
Alas, no kids want candy enough to crawl up our oxygen-deprived steep driveway, and the sad thing is, I still have a big bowl of candy, every year, but no one comes, not even the zombies with brain bags.
Take care, Catherine
