Don’t worry about having LESS BREASTMILK SUPPLY

If you see these signs –

1. Your baby cries after breastfeeding
Babies cry for many reasons other than hunger
If there is no other reason – feed again. Babies get hungry again and again because they are growing so fast. If you feed more – your breastmilk supply will increase.

2. Your baby feeds all the time
Babies feed more frequently when they are growing rapidly. This is a good sign. Feed more.

3. Your baby wakes up at night to breastfeed
Night time feeds are essential to increase breastmilk supply. That is why your baby wakes up for feeds.

Don’t worry even if you pump and find that there is no milk.
Pumping has to be regular to actually get more milk

There are 3 signs that show that your baby is getting enough milk –
1. Your baby has 6 wet diapers soaked with urine every 24 hours
2. Your baby is gaining weight
3. Your baby is alert, active and playful through the day.

Of course, check with your paediatrician and ensure that they are satisfied with your baby’s weight gain and general condition.

WHY do we find it difficult to TRUST our child?

Picture WHY do we find it difficult to TRUST our child?

Because we are focused on what they are DOING

"They DO the same thing again and again even after being told so many times

How can I trust them?

How long can I close my eyes and not see their mistakes?"

Many parents say this when I ask them to trust their child

But here is where we go wrong

Trust is NOT shutting your eyes to mistakes

Trust is OPENING your eyes wider So that you can see the INTENTION behind the action.

When you see that you can help your child do what they want to do - in the right way.

This applies to your child at all ages.

If you are not able to understand Your child’s Intention- it may be time to learn more about your child.

If your child is not studying – see if you are making these 3 mistakes

If your child is not studying – see if you are making these 3 mistakes
1. You are shouting and hitting your child
This shuts down their thinking brain
And they struggle to learn

2. You are fighting with your husband / wife in front of your child
This causes anxiety
When your child is anxious, they cannot focus

3. You are bribing your child to get better marks
Bribing distracts your child
Your child begins to cheat and lie to get marks instead of learning

How can you set up your child’s room to make them smarter?

There are 5 things you must keep in mind –

1. Pick a room with LARGE WINDOWS so that there is enough DAYLIGHT and FRESH AIR
The room should not need artificial lights during the day.
Try to ensure that there is a view of the sky and some trees (greenery) from the window
Allow fresh air to flow through the room
Have net at the windows to prevent mosquitoes getting in
This will reduce your child’s STRESS and keep them HEALTHY

2. Ensure SAFETY to build CONFIDENCE
The bed and other furniture should be low to prevent serious injuries in case of a fall
The bed should have railings to prevent falls
All heavy furniture must be fixed to the walls
Avoid rugs on which your child may slip while running
All plug points must have safety plugs
A safe environment will encourage your child to explore and increase LEARNING and INTELLIGENCE

3. Ensure ease of DUSTING to prevent ALLERGIES
Use simple furniture with clean lines and edges so that the room can be dusted thoroughly every day. This is crucial to prevent allergies
Your child must be HEALTHY to be SUCCESSFUL and preventing allergies to achieve that goal

4. Focus on supporting INDEPENDENCE to build SELF-ESTEEM
Get child sized furniture so that your child can move around without help
Place toys and books on low shelves so that your child can reach them without your help
When your child can do things, they will feel CAPABLE and try more difficult things

5. Avoid CLUTTER to promote CREATIVITY and FOCUS
Keep only a few toys available at a time
Use bins to store the toys so that clean-up is easy
Rotate the toys periodically
Your child will become INNOVATIVE and IMAGINATIVE when they have fewer things

Did you design your child’s room with these things in mind?

Don’t worry if your child is thin

Don’t worry if your child is thin

Being thin is good if they are healthy and active

After your baby becomes a 1-year-old
The rate of weight gain becomes very slow.
But the height gain continues.
This is why your baby looks thin.

This is not a problem.

Reason 1
Being thin means your child can run around without getting tired.
Running around is important for their brain development

Reason 2
Being active builds your child’s core strength which ensures better balance.
This leads to their falling less and having fewer injuries

Reason 3
The lower weight means that the running and jumping do not strain your child’s growing bones
This is important for good skeletal health.

STOP FORCE FEEDING TO MAKE YOUR CHILD CHUBBY

Are you ready to stop force feeding?

Do you get angry with your child for JUMPING and RUNNING and CLIMBING?

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Dr Debmita Dutta - Parenting Expert (@debmitadutta)

Do you get angry with your child for JUMPING and RUNNING and CLIMBING?

Stop now!!

Your child is trying to GROW THEIR BRAIN by doing all this

Here are 4 reasons why your child JUMPs RUNs and CLIMBs -

1. Your child needs to climb, jump and run to COORDINATE their brain and body
When children climb and jump and run, they train their Right Brain and Left Brain to work together.
This is essential for reading, writing and everything else.

2. Your child needs to climb, jump and run to learn how to FOCUS
When your child is climbing or jumping or even running – they need to keep their mind on what they are doing. If they don’t, they will fall.
This practice of keeping the mind on one task builds your child’s focus.
Focus is required for everything your child does in life.

3. Your child needs to climb, jump and run to build BALANCE
When your child climbs jumps and runs it builds their core strength.
Core strength is essential for balance.
Balance is essential for reading, writing and all other activities.

4. Your child needs to climb, jump and run to regulate their emotions
When your child moves - their stress hormones decrease and their happy hormones increase.
This helps your child to regulate emotionally.
Emotional regulation is essential for learning because it helps your child to listen calmly and understand.

Your child is trying to build their brain.
Do not scold or punish them for it.

Start Parenting with Neuroscience if you want to build the BEST BRAIN for your child.
Send me a message saying “PB” if you want to learn Parenting with Neuroscience.
I will send you the details of my Parenting Blueprint course for the parents of 0- to 7-year-olds

Share this with those who criticize and scold your child for climbing, jumping and running so that they understand that your child is not BAD. Your child is AMAZING.

If you want your child to be healthy – the best thing to do is to cook yourself.

But you are busy.

And don’t have time.

What can you do to cook really fast?

Here are 5 tips –

1. Tip 1 – Make a menu
A lot of time is wasted in thinking about “What to cook”
When you make a menu – it saves a lot of time.
It is a good idea to make a menu for each meal for the whole week on the weekend

2. Tip 2 – Arrange all the ingredients
Having the ingredients ready and accessible saves a lot of time
Once you have the menu – decide on the recipes you will use.
Then check if you have all the ingredients.
Once you have all the ingredients arrange them so that they are easily accessible when you cook.

3. Use a food processor
A food processor cuts, grates, mixes and does all the time-consuming tasks for you.

4. Cook with all the appliances simultaneously
Use a a gas stove with 3 or 4 burners and use all of them at once. Use the microwave and the air fryer while you are cooking on the gas so that some cooking happens automatically.
Plan the menu carefully to distribute the tasks between appliances.

5. Cook all the meals at the same time
Once you are in the kitchen – cook all the meals for the day at once. To make it feel like the food has just been cooked – give the dishes a finishing touch like tempering (tadka) just before serving.
