Levi Strauss & Co. it is always such a privilege to conduct parenting workshops for you.
And yesterday was truly special because you invited me to help build the “VILLAGE” children need.

“It takes a village to bring up a child.”
Everyone is looking for that village.

Levi’s chose to create that village by empowering and equipping employees with the skills they need to be the village - the support system.
And I loved facilitating the workshop to make that happen.

On my way there, I was struck by the fact that Levi’s — a company that has shaped culture through what people wear — is now nurturing community by empowering people to care.
A trailblazer in every way.

The workshop, titled “The Heart of Influence – Positively Impacting Children and Young People,” was part of an employee wellbeing initiative.
The fact that Levi’s employees came together to learn how they can positively impact the world speaks volumes about their engagement and wellness within the organisation.

Employee wellbeing is clearly a priority at Levi’s — evident from the warm vibe of their office and the energy and enthusiasm that prevails.
I felt that when I first walked in, back in 2017 — and I love to bask in it every time I am there.

Thank you for the opportunity, Preyanka Sapru this was so much fun!

Future focused parenting

How to ensure that AI does not replace your child

1. Build Communication skills –
Don’t tell them to keep quiet and listen to you
Put away your phone and listen to them

2. Build Critical Thinking skills –
Don’t punish them for arguing and throwing tantrums
Respond calmly as if it is a debate and teach them how to think

3. Build Empathy –
Don’t tell them to stop crying.
Validate their emotions and teach them how to look at a situation from another person’s point of view.

Which of these 3 skills does your child already have?

Do you want to become a Parenting Coach who can help parents build future ready brains?
Limited scholarships are available for my CERTIFIED NEUROSCIENCE PARENTING COACH COURSE 2026 – write to ask.drdutta@gmail.com for details

3 Reasons Gentle Parenting is not Working for You

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Dr Debmita Dutta - Parenting Expert (@debmitadutta)

3 Reasons Gentle Parenting is not Working for You

1. You are pretending to be calm.

Your child’s mirror neurons are picking up your hidden anger. Their brain is sensing danger and that is why they are behaving badly.

Start Parenting with Neuroscience and understand your child and how to manage their behaviour so that you don’t get angry

2. You are being permissive, not gentle.

When you never say NO your child - your child feels unsafe because of the lack of boundaries and limits.
Your child then behaves badly to force you to set boundaries

Start Parenting with Neuroscience and learn how to set loving boundaries that help your child’s brain to feel safe so that it can grow. Your child must grow out of bad behaviour.

3. You are not gentle with yourself.

When you call yourself a “bad parent” (even in your mind) - it raises your stress hormones.

Your child absorbs your stress and starts behaving badly.

Start Parenting with Neuroscience so that you understand your child’s growing brain better and develop the intuitive power to make the right decisions in every situation.

Your calm and confidence will make your child calm and confident and that will end bad behaviour.

You can only practice Gentle Parenting when you start Parenting with Neuroscience.

DM me and say GENTLE PARENTING if you want details of my Parenting with Neuroscience course for the parents of 0- to 7-year-olds
