Parenting Stress is a significant PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUE

Parenting Stress is a significant PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUE
And requires urgent AWARENESS and ACTION

Says the US Surgeon General

Why?

Because when parents are stressed – they pass on their stress to their children

And when children are stressed – they cannot be SUCCESSFUL

This is terrible for the parent and the child and causes more stress

If you are a stressed parent – reduce your stress with my NEUROSCIENCE based ABC formula

The causes of Parenting Stress are –

A – Anger – You know anger is bad but you keep getting angry – and that causes stress
Anger is caused by Anxiety and worry
Are you worried about your child’s LEARNING, DISCIPLINE, EATING HABITS, DEVICE USE?
Understand their brain to understand their behavior
Change their brain with your parenting to modify their behavior

Start Parenting with Neuroscience – Type PB to join my course

B – Buying – You spend lots of money to buy things – hoping that it will help your child - but it doesn’t solve any problem – that causes stress
Stop Buying things
Focus on “BEING” the parent your child needs
Your brain is the template on which your child’s brain is built.
BE the parent your child’s brain needs to be the best

Start Parenting with Neuroscience – Type PB to join my course

C – Competition – You do everything you can to make your child better than everyone else but your hard work does not always bring results – that causes stress
Stop Competing
Start Celebrating
Your child is unique. Don’t compare and criticize.
Understand their brain. Build their unique strengths.

Start Parenting with Neuroscience – Type PB to join my course

Share this now so that those who think you have an easy life as a parent - realize what a difficult job you are doing and how much stress you are under.

Then they will stop adding to your stress by criticizing you.

At what age should you start sending your child to preschool?

The age is important of course as mentioned in the reel

But so are certain skills

Without these skills your child will not enjoy preschool at all.

Your child will start saying they don't want to go to school

And this will make things very difficult for you.

I have made a detailed video on the skills needed and how to build them and posted it on YouTube

Please comment YT if you need the link to my YouTube channel

Are you struggling to discipline your child?

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Dr Debmita Dutta - Parenting Expert (@debmitadutta)

Are you struggling to discipline your child?

Then you need to know about the

3 PARENTING MISTAKES
That are making DISCIPLINE DIFFICULT

Mistake 1
Not picking up CRYING BABIES
Because everyone tells you – picking them up so much will SPOIL them
No. That is a mistake
Your helpless baby is crying for help
If you don’t pick your baby up – you break your baby’s TRUST in you
When they don’t trust you – they don’t listen to you
DISCIPLINE becomes DIFFICULT

Mistake 2
SHOUTING at children to end TANTRUMS
So that they learn to behave themselves
When your child throws a tantrum, they need you to LISTEN to them and UNDERSTAND them
When you shout instead of listening and understanding – they stop listening and understanding too
DISCIPLINE becomes DIFFICULT

Mistake 3
PUNISHING when your child makes MISTAKES
To teach them not to make mistakes
When you PUNISH your child – they move far away from you to avoid the pain
When they are far away (mentally) they cannot listen to you or understand you even if they are right next to you
DISCIPLINE becomes DIFFICULT

Are you making these common mistakes?
And then struggling with discipline?

Then you need to learn PARENTING with NEUROSCIENCE

That will help you understand the impact of everything you are saying or doing on your child
You will understand what you should do so that parenting becomes EASY ENJOYABLE and EFFECTIVE

If you are interested in this – please DM me and say PB – I will send you the details of my Parenting Blueprint course for the parents of 0- to 7-year-olds.

Share this so that those who criticize you for not being able to DISCIPLINE your child – see that it is their wrong advice that has made DISCIPLINE so DIFFICULT.

If your child is making the same mistake again and again

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Dr Debmita Dutta - Parenting Expert (@debmitadutta)

If your child is making the same mistake again and again
DON’T call them STUBBORN

Your child may be making the same mistake again and again because YOU are making these 3 mistakes

1. You are SHOUTING at your child when they make a mistake
When you shout – your child’s LEARNING BRAIN shuts down
They don’t learn anything from their mistake and make the same mistake again and again

2. You are not REMINDING
Your child’s MEMORY is not fully developed. They can’t remember what you tell them for long
If you don’t keep reminding them about what they can and can’t do – they will make the same mistake again

3. You are not TEACHING them what they CAN DO
Telling your child to stop doing what they are doing is not enough
When you tell them what they must NOT do – you must also tell them what they CAN DO
Your child has to do SOMETHING.
If you don’t teach them the right thing they will do the wrong thing again.

Here are the steps you should follow when your child makes a mistake –

1. Stop your child without shouting
2. In a soft voice explain why they can’t do it
3. Teach them what they can do instead
4. When the chance to make the same mistake comes again – eg next birthday party – remind your child again about what they can and can’t do
5. When they are doing the right things – give them positive attention by smiling at them.
6. When you see that there is a chance for them to make the same mistake again – step in and remind them how they can handle the situation

Correct your Mistakes and your child will stop making the same mistakes again and again.

Share this with those who shout at your child and then call them stubborn
