a book...making me care about romance....this early on...unheard of and therefore absolutely amazing

this volume is just further proof i bought and am reading this entire comic series solely for the art, and my money supports the artist only. no offence, but the writing is doing a grand total of nothing for me, and i can see plot twists & character reveals coming miles away. this is still gorgeous and i still recommend it for the art!!!!!

the world is complicated, but it is opening up slowly and carefully so that i'm not confused, and can actually follow the characters & keep track of their relationships. also i really like how the brotherhood is portrayed (yay for supportive siblings!!!), and the main couple here has a long backstory that i can't wait to know more about.

as i read this book's description on netgalley, i knew i had to have it, no matter how badly written i lt could possibly be. now that i've read the first chapter, i'm pretty confident i'll love it. kindle format is often distracting for me, but i was flyjng through the pages & anticipating new details. this is starting off great

the only thing i keep thinking about is that im gonna finish this so soon

last i checked the synopsis does not even hint at romance, which is utterly deceiving. there have been exactly two vague riddles thus far, and the rest is either Rhen trying to convince me she cares about science, or Rhen taking part in some teenage love drama that i definitely did not come here to see. can't wait to be Done

it's now 11:38pm, i need this book read by 9am tomorrow: and so the binge reading begins. all because for the first time in years i made a concious decision to finish a show instead of a book (the show was sex education, if you must know. i have zero regrets and negative time)

this is unrelated to whatever's happening in the book rn but séverin gives off such strong richard gansey iii vibes that i cannot not adopt him. he is my son now
