this is a one of a kind book, i've no other words for it yet. it's so magical and yet mundane !!!

i know i keep dissing this book but it's compulsively readable, for sure. or not; maybe i'm just too sentimental and really feel like going back to this story, but i legit just can't put it down. oh wow

i cannot EXPRESS how utterly FRUSTRATING it is to be rereading a book that you once thought to be the most beautifully written piece of literature only to find out that it is, in fact, horribly repetitive and unsatisfying. i was 12, it was a translation which was probably better than the original, but fuck

no point talking: at this point it feels like i'm reading the same story over and over again. i'll probably get to 50% and dnf, if the trend continues.
