too many different Charleses for one book. but i guess that's just an England overall issue

for the amount of reading i need to get done this month the number of pages a day i've set for myself as a goal is ungodly and i can't sleep eat or BREATHE. despite the fact that i'm very much enjoying all my current & all the upcoming reads please just pray for me alright

it's amazing to me how Kahlan was the first ever "strong woman" in fiction that i read and so i admired her immensely. i thought her cunning, brave, independent, and i wanted to be her for the longest time (until i read Katniss). rereading this book 8 years after is mindblowing. Kahlan whines, cries, and seemingly cannot exist without Richard from the moment they meet. just. how? how did i see what i saw then?
