I'vent expected it to be this good. I was skeptical about reading something with a coroner as a protagonist and a morgue as a main setting, but this story has got me hooked with its mystery and magical realism.

Good heavens! This book has been incredible so far and now Elijah Baley said something that just left me speechless. There are more twists and turns in this story than in a bowl of cooked spaghetti.

I've let in everything that came my way in life,
I stood there, standing and admiring the concoction of chaos that was brewing within me,
I was too stupid to realize that this so called elixir of life was inflammable,
I was too slow to stop it from burning me down.

Sankara Jayanth S is starting Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions
This is a science and mathematical fiction(whatever the hell that means) written by a square(the two dimensional geometric structure) to its beloved friends in three-dimensional space. I don't even know what to expect but it's going to be fun, hoepfully. :O :D

Holy smokes! I've never been this shocked and terrorized by a book before. The things that Asimov reveals in each story, what the fuck! I'm beginning to think that when I finish reading this series, I'd be terrified of what the future holds for us in real life with respect to robotics and AI. My reaction after each story is a 'WTF' followed by a gaping mouth and few minutes of silence.

Loving it. Each story is as chilling in its ramifications as the previous ones. I'm so excited about reading the Foundation Universe next because this book is giving a history of earliest anamolies in sentinent robots that are built to obey the 3 laws of robotics.

I don't like this at all, though I find the whole premise interesting. The characters are shallow, the dialogue between them in these 'recordings' is stupid and unreasonable.

I don't like the series of recordings and documents narrative style, it's not well executed.

I'm always a little confused and skeptical when reading sci-fi. I enjoy them but I get confused about whether or not to question an author's idea and it's legitimacy, even in its fictional nature. At what point do these 'science fiction' ideas become preposterous? How to differentiate between intended science fiction and ignorsnce/mistake of an author? I'm genuinely curious.

My word! A self-conscious robot that straight out says to his human creators, "Look at you. Look at you, do you want me to believe that you created me? No, I'm superior than you and nothing can create what is more supeiror than themselves".

That reply scared me shitless, jesus! I can only imagine what it would look like if robot uprising happens in real life sometime in future.

I loved the first 2 stories! I can't believe I've delayed reading Asimov's works till now. I, Robot is basically an introduction to the famous Foundation Universe.

Here is the suggested reading order I found on the internet:
1. Robot series (5 books)
2. Galactic Empire (3 books - optional)
3. Foundation (5 books)
4. Second Foundation (2 books)

I guess my sci-fi tbr list is setup for 4-5 months.

These used books found a new home! The books-i-own-but-havent-read book pile keeps getting bigger.

I feel like a child sifting through wet sand on a beach in search of beautiful shells, conches and pebbles when I try to buy used books. Some of these I selected because of their cover, some for their unique title, some for their popularity.
