The this series, the mysterious author of A Series of Unfortunate Events Lemony Snicket's pens his childhood machinations, a word which here means dubious and slimy actions that result in unexpectedly dark end, setting off huge changes in motion.

I miss the Baudelaires :( I loved reading about their miserable lives and all the trouble they went through because of Olaf and V.F.D. Snicket is in the thick of it.

The more I think about Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, the more I'm convinced it is a masterpiece without parallels. The story may not be up everyone's alley though. There is obviously so much allegory and metaphorical references behind the unexplained weirdness. Replace the insect with a severely depressed person or a terminal illness, the story suddenly makes complete sense. How Kafka even got the idea!

Holy shit! I knew the Liveship traders would be somehow included into this Farseer storyline, but jesus christ, Fool! Now I understand why the trilogy is named after him and not FitzChivalry.

And goddammit! The OutIslanders' Narcheska and Prince Dutiful Farseer are two more well developed characters, the cover of the next book makes sense now.

Slow burn. But the narrator is awesome, Mrs. Riley's and Ignatius' voices are done well.

Ignatius Riley continues to be the most disgustingly idiotic nepotistic sexist racist ignorant misogynistic self-centered slimy swampy character of all time.
.....
Oh wait! Donald Trump is trying his best to claim that title,/b>. On second thoughts, Ignatius might be much better than Trump.

A fantasy set in feudal Japan(awesome combination). This is book #0, published as a prequel to 'Tales of the Otori' series after its completion.

What caught my attention was the description of book #1 'Across The Nightingale Floor':
The warlord Iida Sadamu surveys his famous nightingale floor. Constructed with exquisite skill, it sings at the tread of each human foot. No assassin can cross it unheard.

FTW! Institution for the criminally non-murderous. Non-drugaddiction is a major crime.

Planet Omega sounds like a thing of nightmares. I'm loving the story so far.

The premise is kafkaesque. The protagonist wakes up in a prison on a different planet with most of his memory wiped. He is told that he committed a murder.

Lol. I'm enjoying the dialogues in the play. The medical banter between different doctors is quite interesting, each doctor disregarding everyone else's achievements. Hahaha.

Librivox volunteers do God's work. Well, I only use that phrase as its apt. In reality, they do better and more important work than God. -_-

DNF!!! It was nothing like what I expected. After reading 'The Penal Colony', I expected something similar from 'The Trial'. Even the premise is not what I thought it was. Disappointing.

DNF!!! It's basically a guy bragging about his awesome brain powers as they grow to great extents after taking neuron regeneration treatment. It's kinda like the film 'Lucy`. This felt so boring, I tried to complete it but nah, it's too bland.

My first Brandon Sanderson novel and it is a crime/detective novella that was recently released. The premise sounded unique and fascinating. I hope I like his writing, I have been meaning to read his fantasy books for quite a while now. I'll probably read 'Mistborn' sometimes this year.

Oh, the feels!

I previously DNFed this book, but not due to disliking it. Actually I quite liked what I read. The dry sarcasm and cynicsm of the lead character is quite funny. Ignatius is one gigantic fool and reading about how he waltzes through his daily life is very hilarious indeed.

After reading too much fantasy, God knows I need some lighter, funnier stuff.

It's quite boring at times. I like how all the stories have a humorous undertone to them but sometimes I feel it is over-the-top and a little too silly, even in the context of mythology.
