Currently at Abids, Hyderabad. The roads are filled with used book stalls. Book lovers paradise. If I'm not constantly reprimanded by my sister, I'd go with a truck load of books.

Fiery start, did not expect that at all after how it ended in the first book. I already sense this book is going to be quite different than the first. Or I hope.

After the last book, I wish something big happens in this one, it's been long pending.

Moreover, I watches 3 episodes of the Netflix series(season 1 covers the first 4 books) and I can't say I like it much. They added a few new elements into the series that are either new or are book spoilers, which I don't like. So I better finish this reading the series before watching the rest of the episodes.

This has been awesome so far. I love reading/listening to books. I love books with dragons in them. This book has a dragon in it that loves listening to books and he is also interested in dragon books. This is like inception, dream within a dream. Holy shit! :O

Never had he been so fond of this body of his as now when his tenure of it was so precarious.

I'm enjoying reading this. It started out with very tense action that did not die down easily. The story has been thrilling and exciting so far.

Dr. Dolittle can talk to animals, which is great and opens up possibilities for great conversations. I'm listening to Karen Savage audiobook.

P.S: I'm going to read a lot of books with/about animals this year. Next up is 'White Fang' and also in the queue are 'A dog's puprose', 'The art of racing in rain' and many others.

What is the best book you have read which had dragons in it? I'm looking for some recommendations. I want to read a book with dragons in it so badly. Smaug in The Hobbit had only a little role but I enjoyed it thoroughly. I'd probably prefer books which have dragons as major characters instead of just tools for travel and battle.

The land itself was a desolation, lifeless. There was a hint in it of laughter, but of a laughter more terrible than any sadness—a laughter that was mirthless as the smile of the sphinx, a laughter cold as the frost and partaking of the grimness of infallibility. It was the masterful and incommunicable wisdom of eternity laughing at the futility of life and the effort of life

What an intense beginning!

Every little while a horrible sickening feeling would come over me and I'd be so afraid it was all a dream. Then I'd pinch myself to see if it was real-until suddenly I remembered that even supposing it was only a dream I'd better go on dreaming as long as I could; so I stopped pinching.

What a lovely book this is. Karen Savage's narration is top notch. I like all the characters introduced until now.

Book reading done for the day, I just came to know A Series Of Unfortunate Events series is out on Netflix. Time to binge watch. I loved Jim Carrie's movie, he was a spectacular Count Olaf.

I can't say I'm enjoying this. There wasn't much humor as I was expecting until now, only bits and pieces of mocking detective fiction in general and Sherlock Holmes's almost superhuman abilities. But it's a bit dull until this point. But it seems to be picking up as SH makes his entry into the story.

Skeptical about this book because it takes a dig at and mocks Sherlock Holmes character and Sir Arthur Canon Doyle's stories of him. I love Sherlock Holmes, he's my favorite fictional detective alongside Hercule Poirot.

But I loved Mark Twain's sense of humor and his writing style in 'The Awful German Language' which I read earlier today. So hopefully I'd enjoy this one too.

Oh, Trevor! I love his late night show, his comedy is top notch and I've always felt he's very intellectual and nice. He's gone through some serious shit in his life. I'm listening to the audiobook which he himself narrated, double the excitement.

Hahaha! I'm loving this. Mark Twain is ripping apart German language for its complexity. But in no offense to the language itself. He is explaining how tough it is for a foreigner to learn German language. His examples and sarcastic comments are so hilarious.

Updated my reading challenge from 70 books to 100 for this year because I'm in the mood for reading short books right now, classics preferably. I've read the likes of The Death Of Ivan Ilych, The Metamorphosis etc in the recent days and I want more of the like. :D But that would mean my 70 book challenge becomes easier to achieve, well, we don't want that do we? The challenge must remain a challenge :D

Abandon ship! I can't read this any further. The author literally takes half of the book to come to the actual plot that's hinted in the title, that's unacceptable for a book of hardly 115 pages. And when the main plot did start, the narration become sloppiler than before.

I loved the title of the book and hoped for more. But it ended up becoming the first book I abandon this year.

My first Terry Pratchett book and I haven't the faintest idea what is going on in here. Is there an English dictionary that I don't know about? Because each sentence has atleast one made up word and one existing word which I have to lookup in the dictionary. :O But I'm going to read on and see why everyone considers Discworld funny. :P
