I actually have high hopes that this book isn't horrible.

This might be my favorite book.

I think what I actually want to be reading is a book about smart sociopaths.

I hate it when he contradicts himself but doesn't acknowledge it. Like when he talks about a "psychopath" (I use quotes because I prefer sociopath) who is really good at long cons in situations such as being a model prisoner, and then he talks about how in general they're all incapable of impulse control. Well, clearly that's not true.

This book is way better than The Gift of Fear. And way shorter.

I could read Franklin Veaux smack down rules all day.

This joker just told a story about walking down a street with his eyes closed and trusting his intuition to keep him safe.

This book is so long and barely says anything.

btw, I'm reading this because it was mentioned in More Than Two.

Okay, I'm starting to feel like this guy is selling his services.

He keeps saying "intuition" when he means inductive reasoning and it's really obnoxious. Also, just because you consider the possibility of something happening and then it happens...doesn't mean your psychic, dumbass.

This book is awesome if you want to feed your anxiety about getting raped or murdered.

Seriously, this book. It had this whole thing about being honest, and acting with integrity, and recognizing guess culture and all it's downfalls...then it's all like wah, "boys were forced to seek approval from women and accept a female definition of what it meant to be male."

Oh no. This book keeps asserting gender roles. You know, men are men and women are women and we gotta stop mixing shit up.

Also, just like the other book, it blames the opposite gender, and like, modern agriculture and the break up of the family.

BUT it's at least way more coherent than the other book.

I was talking to Kevin about how Nice Girl Syndrome is downright awful and he started talking to me about this book.

I started watching season two while reading the book. Now I get all those people who bitch about dumb little details. I know too much man. Totally worth it. I'm totally going to be a pain in the ass now.

I always read this when I'm dying of exhaustion. so lameballs.

The one thing that's good about being this far behind is that when they mention things like the bastard of bolton or the children I'm like ooooooooh shiiiiit. I would overlook these casual mentions if I didn't know something about what's coming.

I keep trying to read Wes's copy when he's not looking and it isn't easy. This book is just as awesome as you would expect.

Don't use Freudian terminology. Or quote Carl Jung. Just. Ugh. Psychology is the worst.
