I want to get down to the bottom of who killed this dog, damn it!

This reminds me of Jason so, so much. (Jason is the autistic guy who cleans our store.)

I now find books to read by looking at lists on goodreads and zeroing in on books that I keep seeing over and over again completely at random.

Damn it. I knew that was going to happen, but I was hoping that I was misremembering.

This feels like the longest book I've ever read.

She's complaining about her first period...periods are the worst. Someone rub my whole body, I'm dying.

Is it me or does the passage of time in this book not add up?

True story: Tony and I bonded over this book.

I remember this book being full of descriptive words for clothes and furniture that I just don't understand. Apparently I have read it. And holy crap, if it wasn't for the kindle dictionary I would have no idea what I'm supposed to be imaging. These words are so precise...but if you're not the girliest girl in the world (straight up old money style) they wont mean anything to you. But...now I know what a highboy is.

Well, now I'm sufficiently sad, even if the dad seemed a little codependent and weird.

Every time I go into a used bookstore I look for a cheap copy of this book, and for the last six years I haven't been able to find one. Today I got the kindle version for $1.99.

The movie was such a big deal to me growing up that I've always wanted to see how I feel about the book. (Actually, there's a chance I read it in high school...I can't remember for sure.)

I'm still not sure if I've read this before. I feel like yes, just because it brings up all these flashes of being in the third grade...but I don't actually remember the story very clearly. It's so weird.

lol, now you can tell this was written in the 90s...remember when poaching was a really big deal? We were like...oh no, poaching...extinction is bad. Save the whales. Stop deforestation. Such innocent times.

Maybe they'll address this later, but it really bothers me that they keep saying that birthmothers have a short training period. They're 12...it can't be that short because they're not women yet. I didn't get get my period until I was nearly 13. Come on now.

I started reading this because I wasn't sure if I read it growing up. I have this vague recollection that we were supposed to read this in seventh grade, but that there weren't enough copies of the book so my class didn't get to read it. But I think it's possible that our librarian read it to us when I was in second or third grade. What's weird is I'm still not sure. (I usually have a sharp memory for these things.)

lol, I'm sorry. I'm reading this on the kindle and the font is all kinds of crazy sizes and words will have hy-phens for no rea-son. What is going on? Don't even get me started on the paragraph breaks.

Did you know he already wrote the fifth book? Nobody told me. Still, I can't believe how long it takes me to read these tiny little chapters.

Now I'm like damn, I don't remember all this from the show...was it in the show? It probably was.

Oh wow. There are important characters in the second and third books (seasons) that I never even realized appeared in the first.

One of the characters shops at a Wild Oats in Philly and now I'm upset that Wild Oats doesn't exist anymore and I can't shop there.
