Oh my god. I downloaded the audiobook about ten pages ago because I'm always really curious about the voices of the readers...and this guy is getting more and more Irish as he reads the Tyrion chapter and I can't stop laughing.

I can't stop imagining Theon Greyjoy as Lucky.

I started reading this like five years ago and never finished it. I'm the worst.

I'm sorry, this has been bothering me since like page 20 where the author says that a neg works by lowering the girls self-esteem. I think it's more likely that a neg works because it shows that the neger isn't so into the negee that he's willing to say or do anything to impress her. Because guys who have no sense of self (ie, "nice guys") are the worst. Girls have more self-esteem than you think dickbag, gaw.

This is hysterical to me right now.

Now I hate myself for not listening to Sarah Vowell read all her books. (If that's even an option, god I hope so.) She's so goddamned hilarious.

This is what happens when I read. Mindy Kaling mentioned The Game so I immediately threw down her book and picked up this one.

OH MAN.

Dude yes. She talks about how in LA they're so obsessed with appearing cheerful and healthy that if you're depressed they shun you. I keep trying to explain this to people and I feel like they really don't get it. "Guys, one time in California, I got fired for not smiling enough."

Oh my god, I don't understand why people are so insane about Wegmans.

Every time I try to finish this book I fall asleep. And it's really interesting...but apparently my brain can only handle so much economics at once.

There she goes again. "Since women are innately more compassionate..." Seriously, I'm going to stab you. That's like the sixth time you've said that.

I started listening to the audiobook because the kindle version is weird. It turns out one of the descriptions wasn't a typo. I'm like...I just don't understand what I'm supposed to be imagining. It's not a big deal, because it was just about someone's posture, but it bothers me. Of course, there are other times where you're like damn son, nice use of language.

This book has a lot of fuzzy science in it. The author has stated at least four times that women are biologically caring and nurturing, and she talks about things "scientists have discovered" (about say, feelings) and I'm like...oh yeah, where did you read that? MSN.com in the 90s?

I feel like I have to make fun of him for imagining a dramatically different kind of city...where residents are into golf? Why are there golf courses man?

He makes a really good argument for why almost all laws are unnecessary (deal with the underlying issues damn it!)...except I don't know how he would propose we deal with murder. Like, you can't socialize murder out of existence...right? So? He's all about free will and letting people do as they please but also dealing with the underlying causes of social problems...and I'm not really sure what he's suggesting here.
