So the Bear is free bc the Winter King loves Vasya? Is that what really happened? Or is the bad guy lying. Bc that it is a terrible call to make considering how it could lead to the death of millions of lives.

Just 30 pages in and there's already a shocking death. Holy wow!

I know what I like about this book? It's written in present tense but is written well. Since the Hunger Games there seemed to be this flood of present tense novels that were written so terribly that there was no emotion, next to no little detail and no stakes. Nice to have someone write a book in this fashion that can actually pull it off.

Wow! Another great twist. I have no idea where this story is going but I'm enjoying the ride.

This book does everything in the world to defy the young adult post apocalypse cliches. The kids curse, drink, have sex. It's violent. So much so that I threw the whole YA template out of my head bc it's clearly not one at this point. Then book turns around and surprised me with a classic YA plot twist I expected toward the beginning. It's the first time a book surprised me with a cliche.

This book is real surprise. It's one of the most original fantasies I read in the longest time.

This book is a lot better than I ever expected. The imagination is thru the roof on this one.

I dunno if it's the POV of the lead or if the author has odd way of viewing the world. B/c his descriptors r a bit, let's say, weird. A horse takes off like it's screwed in the butt. A pepper is described as a woman's breast. When some blacks out, his world turns to ass. And so on. It's weird. Very distracting and somewhat uncomfortable. Yet at the same time the core story is so good that it can be overlooked.

I really like this book but oh man, Kim is not a very good spy. She's learning the rules of the game but she's just not learning fast enough.

All the pieces are finally falling together.😄

Have to admit. This book is really fun.

I agree with with Mrs.Drummond. Kim is a very bad spy. But she's just beginning to dive into the job. She will get better. At least I hope. There's a a whole series of novels following Kim so she must get good at the job at some point.

Not much about espionage or nazis so far, but it is fun, so I'm still enjoying the ride.

A family dinner where the father must consistently being up politics and how Nazis aren't that bad. Somehow this parallels some of the dinners modern Americans are dealing with around the holidays in a scary way.

This book is selling itself as Agent Carter fan fiction,which is fine by me. I loved Agent Carter and miss it still since the show was cancelled. So if this is the next best thing I can get and the book is well written I will gladly take it.

So it was a trap after all. Kinda saw that coming. But it's still really fun, so I'm not going to complain.

U know when ur watching a tv show u really like and three season in the whole main cast are working together to save the world, and u just realize u love the whole cast? Yeah. That's where I'm at with this series. Such a great group in the lead here.

Hey instead of doing a cheesy villain trope the book acknowledges that they are over done and silly. It's almost like Butcher realized his work (when comes to villains) is so painfully cliche, and is now making a joke out of it. Good job Butcher. I tackled this issue in an entirely clever way.

After everything that happened in the last few books, it's really nice to see Harry and Susan together again. Even though it probably won't last it's nice to see them happy as what they could have been if the world wasn't insane.

While reading this, I think this would make a great tv show. Then I remember they did make one ages ago. And it was terrible. Didn't resemble the books at all.

Harry's never going to get any sleep is he? Talk about everything at once.
