Guys, I'm not religious. I don't pray. But this is me (emotionally) about right now...waiting for election results to come in.

Ooh, I'm liking the direction this installment seems to be taking; hope John and the other SPECTR agents fight this potential change (or nail the dirty politician trying to restructure the division)...I'm already leery of the requirement that paranormals register (this, X-men, Marvel, THIRDS) but to start "pre-emptive" policing is way too Minority Report for my comfort.

Oh Fuck. I KNEW Roger was up to something pushing Simone like that...knew she'd break under the stress of the election and her eating disorder...and planned for it happen so Jesse would surge in the polling. God, that's all kinds of fucked up.

Damn, so far this one is even better than the previous one! So glad I didn't read any spoilers for it, too; I'm dying to know why Ezra ended up in hell, and to know just what Roman is hiding...but for once my nosy nature is letting it just unfold as the story evolves. So good...seriously.

At first I thought this might be some Criminal Minds AU kind of thing (especially since Barty's cat is named Penelope), but no. The characters are quite a bit different (at least on the surface) so far. I will say that - given the number of murders - The PSP or BEI should have been called in by now & by extension the FBI. I get wanting to keep it local for story/plot development & to have MCs interact more, though.

Oh man, it's just a bit startling to see a character with my kid's name; it's not all that popular so it rarely happens - when it does it kinda freaks me out. I don't even know why...

Oh, this is just not going to turn out well...something, somehow is going to explode. Also, something about the Uncle's behavior, attitude and overall demeanor is grating on me. Like he's got some sort ulterior motive...or like he knows Simone will break and hopes the campaign can capitalize on the tragedy. Ugh, I hope I'm wrong...

Huh. Well, it seems like my most likely suspect is not the culprit; for some reason I really do love it when the most innocent seeming one turns out to be guilty (in this case, Victoria) but no. Oh well.

Oh yeah. So far so good. I'm not sure if it's because of election season but I've been itching for some good political romances. And since I am dragging out Enemy of My Enemy so that I can enjoy it longer (which is an exercise in edging/self-torture) I wanted something interesting and meaty...which this is turning out to be!

I think Kit is my favorite of all JL's series MCs.

I keep thinking all this Poppy negativity is just purposeful misdirection...

I keep putting off this book and I'm not sure why; oh well, I've to laundry and cooking to do today so I guess it'll get started finally.

This is really well-written; I mean, I don't know as much about hockey as I do football, but the detailed way plays are described here make it so easy to imagine the action.

I didn't want to think too much about the repercussions of their relationship being made public (mainly because it's set 15 years in the future & I'd hoped being gay/bi wouldn't cause this kind of commotion), but from the Fundies to the GOP hardliners, the outcry seems quite realistic. (ie: stupid)

OMG I don't know if I want to hug Mark, hit him or hang out with him...but I do know I will probably be that kind of mom when/if my son grows up.
