Good Gawd Damn. This book...

Well, thank fuck for that at least. Honestly, it was my biggest concern; I needed Jack to choose Ethan, and now - no matter the outcome of that other mess - we know who his heart wants. *sigh*

I really, really don't want her to be one of Madigan's plants...but how else would it work for Ethan & Jack? Oh, my heart.

I need, need more of Adam & Faisal's story. Crossing my fingers that there's a bit of history (revealed through flashback) in this book; if not, I'm hoping a side-story, an interlude book, is in the works then. Talk about an impossible relationship! I thought Ethan & Jack had it rough - but their love is easy compared to what an American Marine and a Saudi Prince will have to endure. Fuck.

Oh. My. Gawd. That was the hottest and most romantic sex scene I've ever read. That bit about the over-abundance of lube and how it got everywhere - skin, sheets, hair was simply icing on the cake. A bit of imperfection that made the whole thing perfect. So damned good...

Yeah, this is one of those books I'm going to need to read over and over - it's just that good and there's so much going on! (Also, please to be my Christmahannukwanzadan wish that there will be an audio version of these books in 2017!)

I listened to the other 4 but I'm going to read this one (and shallow as it may be, it's totally because the individual rating for this one was so much lower and I can't justify that expense).

Oh man, I did NOT expect that Big Reveal given the Conservative Shock Jock ranted and raved about the Liberal agenda...of which sexual orientation is probably in the top 3 concerns.

I do not know why I was so reluctant to read this; I kept putting it off even though it's rated & reviewed very well, and I marked it to complete for the AOM challenge...and it's actually really fucking good so far!

Fuck, I don't know why I'm surprised Jake responded with a physical assault - but I am. The derisive, derogatory "faggot" he sneered in reference to Guy I totally expected...but not him putting his hands on Adrien like that. That's gotta be fear fueled anger.

Okay, not as bad as the last AEV book I suffered through. Preston is a bit much; kinda whiny...but I guess that can be expected (even in an adult) when suffering an injury/disability like blindness. I personally can't imagine having to learn to do everything differently, to learn to live with not seeing. (Thank heavens for Audiobooks or else I'd probably not even bother trying to adapt; I'd honestly just waste away.)

I love that Adrien shut down Jake's opportunity to get mad, to end them on an actual fight, rather than his conscious decision to live a lie. Good for him!
