So hot! I needed a (what is basically porn) reading break and this just hit the spot...

HOLY SHIT! I didn't read the blurb (it's Kaje and Xmas +2014) so I'm not even sure if this was a given, but man oh man what a way to completely turn that trope on it's metaphorical head. Fuck, I've read so many "reunited lovers" holiday stories this month ...and then WHAM! this hit me like a 2x4 to the head going completely the other direction. AND I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!!@

Okay, I think I spoke too soon on this book. It's still miles better than Two Lips, but it reads like someone's diary basically until this point. Hopefully, that changes?

It's a bit...slow. Not bad, just - well, nothing much has happened. But, I guess that's good if you're the MC trying to win back the love and trust of someone you hurt over a decade ago, to build up that relationship to where it was before you ran off like a scaredy-cat.

Pleasantly surprised that this is much better than the last book I read by Tinnean (Two Lips, Indifferent Red - gawd that was horrid). It does have it's problems but, on the whole, a ginormous improvement. If it keeps along these lines then I won't be so worried about picking up the Spy vs. Spook series. (I've been meaning to read it, but got skerred by how bad TLIR was.)

I picked a different book for the Food Cover (Scavenger Hunt) than the sequel to this one...so I'm just gonna put this title back on the TBR shelf for when I care more about chef-stuff?
