Guys, Jane Davitt says she's going to be uploading several of the books she got back from Torquere to AO3 for us to download and read FOR FREE!

It's not just a blessing for those of us who already love her, but a great opportunity for those of you who've wanted to read some of her work.

I just had a slightly terrifying and depressing thought: I have over 2500 books on my TBR shelf (not including a lot of sequels to those books)...at my current pace it will take me over 2 1/2 YEARS to get through them - if I don't add a single book to the shelf between now and then.

*cries*

UTC WoF Round 3 read...

Definitely should have started with this one; there's so much detail in this - relationships, interactions & events - that carry over into off-handed mentions or short references in Book 1.

Yeah, I hate to do this to a challenge read but I'm gonna DNF this one...maybe try again later when I'm in the mood for a female POV.

I'm not that far into the story, and I'm sure that once I type this something will come up and prove me wrong, but OMG I do so love it when an author gets the look, feel, atmosphere and details correct about Vegas. The street names are correct, the areas described so well I can practically see the buildings, the locations (even if given fake names) completely recognizable...hard to do for off-strip settings!!

Okay, I need some advice: I'm so not feeling this book...do I need to cut my losses now?

I mean, it's supposed to be an MM Romance, but so far it's told from a female character's POV? (And a slightly annoying one at that.) I've never come across this literary device before (at least, not in anything Non-MMF) and it's setting off warning bells that this is probably not the romance/story I was expecting...

Yeah, I had a feeling that age old "I need to fuck him once to get it out of my system" excuse wouldn't hold water for long...

OMG that first chapter gutted me...

So, yeah, I've just discovered the only thing capable of making me pause listening to Tristan James narrate porn: Lisa Henry's Sterek Fanfic.

How funny is it that people in Wisconsin have the most trouble spelling the name of their own state, while people in Mississippi can spell theirs but not 'nanny'?

(Coincidentally, I lived most of my life in Georgia & don't spell 'gray' that way; I blame all the British TV I used to watch for still spelling it 'grey.'

I'm sure saying this will jinx the whole endeavor, but I am really happy with some of these surprise finds I've stumbled upon - and the books I've been assigned - in my challenge groups lately.

Here's yet another title to add to that list; I am absolutely in *heart-eyes* with this story right now.

Okay, so this reads a whole lot like it's just a filler book...not much appears to happen here.

This series has the hottest covers...and I love the image headers at the start of each chapter. I honestly thought Gabe's was hotter (ridiculously so) in the first (full) installment...but Josh is smoking hot in this one.

I seriously hope that none of these images will crop up on other book covers because that would likely make me not want to ever read them; these models will always be Gabe and Josh to me.

Ha! I knew that someone would get around to using The Dunning-Kruger effect to explain Cheetolini and his supporters...just had to wait for it to be done like this! (Narrated by Stephen Fry!)

Ohmygawd, I already love every sentence of this book.

This is basically the kind of story I wanted for Dave & Kurt on Glee...had RIB shown some balls by focusing on the single most interesting and complicated character ever on that show instead of letting him just fade away due to stupid backlash...and hadn't caved to the pressure of tweens demanding sparkly glitter pony perfection (*yawn*).

Complaint of the Week:

I'm really not sure if/when this changed, but I was taught that abbreviations and numbers were phonetically spelled in dialogue. So, when I see a sentence like, "She woke up at 4 and drove the '02 Chevy 4x4 down to 3rd Ave" it drives me freaking nuts.

According to my AP English teacher, it should be, "She woke up at four and drove the oh-two Chevy four-by-four down to Third Avenue."

Oh, my stomach...

I made a half-batch of this homemade Reese Cup bar recipe in an 8x8 pan (made my own chocolate from scratch though, with cocoa powder, butter, vanilla and sugar - so basically, fudge)...then proceeded to eat half the damned thing all by myself, in one sitting.
