Yeah, nope. I can't continue this right now. I will be shelving it until March 29th because it's a book I need to complete for my GangBang challenge, but it will be the LAST BOOK I read before the new picks are in...because this writing is just so damned awkward and stilted.

Oh man, I don't know about this book. From the blurb I can totally tell I want to read it but the writing is so damned stilted.

It reads like this. Will thinks he might like that. He sees the thing. It reminds him of something else. He lives here. It's a nice place. OMFG I just might strangle my Kindle if it continues along these lines...

So, Gregori is the only Magi with the ability to call forth Earth, Air, Water and Fire magic.

I don't know why, but something about a proper British accent narrating a sex scene makes it sound just a little bit more elicit, a little bit naughtier, a little bit more delicious. *shiver*

So, even narrators have different pseudonyms? Interesting. This one is definitely Greg Tremblay but the audio book GR page and audio intro indicates a 'Greg Boudreaux'.

I felt like I held my breath during that whole interaction with Clayton, afraid for what would happen. It's like tensing your abs before a punch in the gut that never happens...still hurts though, achy like from the clenching so hard when you let it go. Only I'm afraid to let it go because I just know there's something worse coming around the corner...just know it.

JFC this is beyond all kinds of hot!

The way the tension is built here is just brilliant. At first it was one uncomfortable situation & painful emotion after another. Then it was one step forward (a happy interaction or breakthrough) followed by two steps back (threats, bad memories or sleepwalking). It evens out a bit in the middle & now we're at several good, loving scenes. Which means the fall, the giant step back, when it comes, will hurt so badly.

Greg Tremblay's narration of this book is completely undoing me in all the best ways. From the way hot power play to the anxiety, fear & need of both characters. Plus, OMG the accents! Non-caricature Southern drawls are hard to do well & his are just. too. good. And each is so specific, even the side characters, that it's easy to tell who is speaking without having to wait for them to be named. God. I'm in awe...

This book is just killing me with the pain and angst and sadness...and I have absolutely no intention of giving it up until it's done. It's that fucking good.

Holy shit, this book. Like nothing I've read or listened to before...

If nothing else this narrator is hilarious!

My tummy already hurts with the potential angst...

Okay, I went to my hotels.com account to get an idea of how many nights we've stayed in hotels/motels and it looks like an average of 37 per year over the past 3 years. So, over 100 nights (recently) in around 70 different hotels of varying quality (from -1★ roach motels to 4★ almost spa-like accommodations)...

...and ONLY ONE OF THEM EVER RAN OUT OF HOT WATER. JFC I hate it when an author uses this conceit.
