Samantha I had to up my challenge too, to 60. I'm probably going to up it again. Last year I read 72. I think I can do more than that this year since I am not taking any courses this summer like I usually do.

Renae McBrian I usually don't read a lot because of school and Bryce but I have so many books that this year I'm determined. Plus it makes me feel accomplished when I see the number go up :p I'm taking one summer class and nothing after that until a university (or until COS offers more classes for the certificate I'm after), so I'll have more time to read and work on my book.

Samantha I seriously don't know how I manage to read as much as I do in between work and school, and especially being in and out of the hospital so far this year, but I somehow do! and of course, it makes me feel accomplished too! Are you going to be done at COS after the summer then?? I have one semester and a half left, and just made honors and the honor society, I am so stoked to be almost done, I am sure you are too considering you have been going to school longer then I have! And you are writing a book? That is amazing :)

Renae McBrian I might take a few classes here and there from COS, but I am done. I'm not applying to any universities until I know where we're moving though. Too expensive to apply just to 1) get denied or 2) not end up going if I get in. My GPA is awful though. Like 2.0 if I'm lucky this semester. A baby and school is NOT easy. But I'm finally done, so that's something. I went from 4.0 to 2.0 in like three semesters. It was awful. :/ If I had stuck to the major I'd picked when I was in high school, I'd be done and be working on my master's... but I'd also be in debt so... haha and yeah, I'm writing a book. I'm only a few chapters in because I don't have a lot of time on my hands, but it's nice to know that I have a complete outline and 20k words as a starter. I'd planned on at least having a first draft by december, but unless Bryce gets into summer preschool, that's not happening... haha

Samantha I def feel you, school is so expensive. I have been incredibly lucky with COS, I haven't had to spend any money because I get the BOG, Financial Aid, and EOPS to cover my books, and now that I am a part of the honor society, I have tons of scholarships available to me for when I apply to another school (going to try SOU first since it is closer) and I am going to be volunteering this summer to help me get those scholarships along with my GPA. & that really does suck that it dropped so drastically so quickly! That's the thing with college, it can really be going good and once it goes bad, it goes bad real fast :/ But, you have been juggling so much, it is amazing that you are almost done and didn't quit and that is what matters most. And that is seriously awesome about your book, I used to be able to write a lot more than I do today, but I kinda lost my passion for it a while back, and now I just am reading a ton.
