This novel follows two stories. In the 1900 story, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Bram Stoker are the protaganists. In the 2010 story, one of the two main protaganists is a journalist. So, 3 out of 4 of the main characters earn their living by writing, so I think this will fit :0)
