Nancy H | 1111 comments Lacy,
Here Today Gone to Maui was the one of the three that I got started and just couldn't put down - I read it late into the night and finished it this morning. It is a romance/mystery/chick lit combination, an easy and fun read, and an overall good book.

Thanks for suggesting it. Now we will see which one of our picks grabs me next!!

Yeah, let me know!!! Looking forward to it. With

Thanks Karen for the picks. I know my TBR is impossible but thats because I only put books on that shelf that hasn't come out. Usually when I buy a book I read it before I have time to place it on the TBR shelf LOL. For some reason some of the books I have read already didnt't show up on my already read shelf, but thats ok because you gave me some good picks. I think I will be reading Habor Light this month because its been on my book shelf for 2 years ( at home not on the computer) and just havent got to it. If I get a chance I would like to read Virgin River and Only his also.

HI Valerie ~Varuca~ I just finished Promises in the Dark (Shadow Force, #2) by Stephanie Tyler ... I'd give it 3 *, too many story lines running at the same time and I found that her female character were lacking. I think I would have liked it better if the writer had focused on 2 story lines. What did you think?

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 1934 comments Hi Lanh-Din, sorry I have been missing the last week. I was recovering from surgery. I couldn't read as much as I thought I would be able to!
Anyway, just finished Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh and I'm really glad that I was able to read the first in the series, since I've already read the second. It was a little slow to get into (could've been the anesthesia!) but once it got rolling I really enjoyed it. I like the side characters alot. The world she has created is so different than other PNR novels. Thanks for the pick.

Nancy H | 1111 comments To Diane Whitney,
Here is a "blast-from-the-past" message to you from your September PIFM partner: I FINALLY finished The Girl Who Played with Fire today, which I feel like I have been reading since forever (actually just since last month!) I liked it, although not quite as much as the first one. I thought it would grab my attention, but I have read a bunch of other stuff at the same time while taking breaks from it. I will read the 3rd one in the trilogy, but not right away.
Here is a "backwards thanks" for recommending it last month!

Cathy Galloway | 700 comments I finished Cowgirl Up and Ride and Changeless. Changeless was a buddy read with Shellbelle and I loved it. I have already put in a request to the library for the following book Blameless. Cowgirl up and Ride was also good although it didn't leave me anxious to hurry up and read the next one.

Just finished Bitten. It took me a long time to read (a week) which is generally an indication of a struggle. I gave it two stars. I just found Elena whiney. I liked Clay--certainly more than Philip. First person narrative is not my favorite so when I'm having to struggle through that and not bonding with the main character...I have Spell Bound from the library already and will keep trying the series because I liked Waking the Witch.

I'd really encourage you to keep trying the series. The second book introduces a whole cast of other characters, who then get their own subsequent books. Elena and Clay's books were my least favorite in the series, although other people just loved them.

Diane ~Firefly~ | 1512 comments Stats Time!

Sorry it is so late, but life got in the way.

The names at the top of the list are pretty new to that situation, probably due in parts to some of the categories chosen this month. For the anthology category, I just went with whichever author good reads attributed on the popup, which helped quite a few names climb the chart. Linda Lael Miller was one recommendation away from making this list due to the country music category as well.

1. Ilona Andrews - 29
2. Maya Banks - 27
3. Lorelei James - 25
4. Pamela Clare - 20
4. Jennifer Cruise - 20
6. J.R. Ward - 19
7. Nora Roberts - 18
8. Nalini Singh - 17
8. Larissa Ione - 17
8. Gena Showalter - 17
11. Karen Marie Moning - 16
12. Richelle Mead - 14
12. J.D. Robb - 14
14. Thea Harrison - 13
14. Darynda Jones - 13

Hey Valerie! Glad you liked If It Aint Love! The writing was so good, and I normally don't read m/m. I finished SGotL on Thursday. I agree, good but not great. I love Charlie, but I want more romance in that series. Why do they call it a 'sexy' series when there is no damn sex in it at all? LOL. I'm on the fence if I will continue that series.

Ooh, sorry Goddess of the Hunt didn't work for you. I do like Tessa Dare's "voice" so I think I forgot that it does get wonky in the end (this is why I write reviews now - so I remember things like that).
