2 books From your TBR–
The Iron King- This is one of the bestest YA books I've ever read. I saw this on your TBR list and I have read it and just loved it, I hope you will to.
The Iron Daughter- this is the sequel to Iron King, and it's even better than the Iron King... I would suggest reading the Novella that goes in between the actual stories.
The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa The Iron Daughter (Iron Fey, #2) by Julie Kagawa

2 books New to you-
Graceling- I just read this and it's a really good fantasy book. This is the authors debut in writing. And I just wanted to Introduce you this author & book.
Dragon Bound- I would like to Introduce you to Thea Harrison. Dragon Bound is her first book in the Elder's series it's a Paranormal Romance. It's a great read, and a new and interesting take on the were-animal world.
Graceling (The Seven Kingdoms, #1) by Kristin Cashore Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison

2 books Your Favorites-
Halfway to the Grave- I love books about faeries and this one was a good one about a half fairy girl, and her adventures into the fairy world. It was great I loved it and I plan on getting the entire series to own so I can re-read it whenever I'm in a mood for a good fairy book.
Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost Tithe (The Modern Faerie Tales, #1) by Holly Black

Becky (beckysbusyreading) | 258 comments Hey There Delilah!!
From your TBR
Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton. Welcome to the world of Anita Blake the vampire slayer.

Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews. I have currently started this book (not very far yet) and I have heard this is an amazing series with a kick ass heroine.

New to You
A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole. This is an amazing series by an amazing author. If you like BDB I think you will love this (I like this series better then BDB and I love BDB).

The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Allen Addison. This author's books are sweet, enchanting, and completely magical.

My favorites
The Host by Stephenie Meyer. I like the Twilight series but this book is even better! Caution it may start a little slow, but keep on reading it is so worth it.

Moon Called by Patricia Briggs. She is a relatable and likeable herione with a hunky werewolf to boot.

From Our TBR
Riding the Storm by Sydney Croft
The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook.
I have been hearing great things about these books and I keep wanting to read them!

I hope you find something you want to read, if nothing floats your boat I am happy to find something else:)

Bookwormgirl | 10 comments Hello Sandy,

I had fun looking through your TBR list. You have some great books on there!

From your TBR shelf:

As You Desire by Connie Brockway
Moon Called by Patricia Briggs
Rapture in Death by J.D. Robb
Bitten by Kelly Armstrong

New to them:
Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks
Hunter's Kiss (Prequel to Iron Hunt) by Marjorie M. Liu
The Iron Hunt by Marjorie M. Liu

I loved both these books and authors. They are a great start to two ongoing series. If you do pick Iron Hunt, I would recommend reading the short story prequel, Hunter's Kiss.

My favorites:
Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews
Veil of Shadows by Shiloh Walker

Two of these are also on your TBR list. I rated Magic Bites 4 stars, but the latest Kate Daniels book I rated 5 stars. You can read them alone, but I think you would enjoy them more if you read them in order.

From my TBR list:
Silk is for Seduction by Loretta Chase
Song of Scarabaeus by Sara Creasy

I hope you like these picks. If you would like to do a buddy read with any of these picks let me know, I would be happy to do so!

message 312: by Gigi (new)

Gigi | 1149 comments Hi KarenM

I hope you find something that you like. If not, let me know and I'll be happy to pick again.
I went a little crazy.

Your TBR:
Lion's Heat by Lora Leigh
Jonah's story and I really enjoyed it!

The Helpby Kathryn Stockett
You have the book on your TBR. I haven't seen the movie yet. This is a very entertaining book. I think you may enjoy it!

My Favs:
Sula by Toni Morrison
I read this in college, but I loved the story! I noticed that you have a couple of Toni Morrison's books on your shelf, but it appears as though you haven't read her yet. This one is definitely my favorite Toni Morrison book.

Naked in Death by J.D. Robb
I noticed that you like mysteries. Well, this is a sci-fi/mystery book. I really enjoyed this one!

Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas
This series is pretty awesome. You should start with book one. The books get better as the series progresses. However, this one and the 3rd book are my favs in the series.

New to you:
The Endearment by Lavyrle Spencer
This is such a sweet story and I think you'll fall in love with all the characters in this book. The message is such a great one! If you're looking for a feel-good book, this is it.

Black Ice by Anne Stuart
Again, I noticed that you like mysteries, but I didn't see this one on your TBR. You should give this one a try!

Life of Pi by Yann Martel
I forgot to mark this one as read, but I had to read it for a bookclub. It really makes you think because its a bit abstract. If you're looking for something with a little more punch to it, read this one.

My TBR:
Lord of the Night by Susan Wigg
I came across this book by mistake and I've been eyeing it for the longest. I noticed it on your TBR as well.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Another book that I keep eyeing thats on both our TBR's.

I hope you find something you like!

Happy reading!
Gigi

I had fun looking through your book lists. We don't have a lot in common so I hope you like some of these recs. I noticed that you have a lot of YA so I chosen some of my favorites from that genre.

From their TBR
Daughter of the Forest
The Iron King
Ella Enchanted

New to you
Both of these are very funny authors.
Agnes and the Hitman
One for the Money

My favorites
I have many favorites but I went with these two genres. I love urban fantasy and this is an especially good series.
Dead Witch Walking
This is a combination of several genre: mystery, suspense, historical romance, and some humor (although not technically accurate to the period).
Just a fun read.
The Secret History of the Pink Carnation

From my TBR
I love all things Pride and Prejudice so I couldn't resist when I found this on your TBR.
Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rock Star
This is a YA book with an interesting fantasy plot.A Great and Terrible Beauty
If you'd like to do either of these as a buddy read, let me know. I already have A Great and Terrible Beauty but I would need some time to get a hold of Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rock Star.
Enjoy!!

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2244 comments Hi Lisa J!
Here are you're picks for September:

Give 8 book choices to your partner.
(2 books) From their TBR –
Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen – One of my FAVORITE books of all time, she’s an awesome author, I highly recommend all of them!

Something Borrowed by Emily Griffin – This one was pretty good, I haven’t seen the movie yet so I’m interested to see how it translates to the big screen.

(2 books) New to Them -
Goddess of the Sea by P.C. Cast – Cast is this months Featured Author in RRRC, so I thought I’d recommend her in case you do any other monthly challenges. I think her Goddess books are cute!

Grave Sight by Charlaine Harris – I started reading this series before the Sookie Stackhouse series and I thought it was really awesome! They’re a bit darker than the Stackhouse ones but very enjoyable.

(2 books) Your Favorites -
Watership Down by Richard Adams
What Dreams May Come by Richard Matheson

I read both of these books over 10 years ago and they’re due for a reread. They are the only books that have ever made me cry. Both are movies too.

(2 books) From your TBR –
One Day by David Nicholls – I love Anne Hathaway but I have no extra $ to see movies at the moment (See Total Money Makeover from MY currently-reading shelf) so I’m going to see if I can resist spending the extra money and just read the book instead!

Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness – My husband read this book first and he said it was awesome. I’m currently starting my GRE studies for grad school so hopefully this book will put me in the academic mood!

Enjoy!

Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen Something Borrowed (Darcy & Rachel, #1) by Emily Giffin Goddess of the Sea (Goddess Summoning, #1) by P.C. Cast Grave Sight (Harper Connelly, #1) by Charlaine Harris Watership Down by Richard Adams What Dreams May Come by Richard Matheson One Day by David Nicholls A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness

Thanks Lili for the great picks!. And thanks for posting them so early, I truly appreciate that. Of course, you have such a good selection that I have no idea what I'm going to choose. I own Dreams of a Dark Warrior and Dragon Bound so they are definate possibilities. I've been looking at P.S. I Love You for a long time now, but I cried throughout the entire movie and I'm not sure I'm ready for that. And, although I promised myself not to add anymore books to my TBR, I just added Graceling (the cover pulls me in every time) and Kiss an Angel (I adore SEP).

So at some point this month I will be reading at least one of these books. Thanks again :-)

Iris (ipro) | 277 comments Erin, here you enjoy the picks. Hope there's something in there you feel like reading in the near future.

From your TBR:
My Blood Approves
Dead Reckoning

New to You::
Neither one of these is a romance, but I noticed you enjoy mystery/suspense and I didn't notice either one of these authors on any of your lists. If you read County Line, let know know how it is. I have it but haven't read it yet. lol
Wicked Lies
County Line

My Favorites:
The Princess Bride - This is one of my favorite books of all time. I've read it so many times I can probably quote most of it off the top of my head
The Count of Monte Cristo

From my TBR:
The Time Traveler's Wife - I noticed you had this on your TBR list as well so I figured it was a safe bet.
Spying in High Heels - I hear good things about this one. Eventually I'll get around to reading this from my very long and seemingly never ending TBR list

Anna (ants) | 30 comments Hi Amy- Here are your picks for September.

From Your TBR:
The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I loved this book. Its one of my all time favs.
Water for Elephants- by Sara Gruen. This is one that I didn’t think I would really enjoy, but boy was I wrong! Its so different from everything else I have read. I hope you will like it too!

New to You :
Mine Till Midnight by Lisa Kleypas. I don’t generally like historicals but this author is wonderful. I love everything she writes. She also has some really great contemporary books too.
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Jones. This is one of those books that either you love or hate. I loved it! The next book in the series is better but this one sets it up nicely.

My Favorites:
The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter- I loved this one. It has all of those great paranormal elements.
Graceling by Kristin Cashore. I tried to pick one book that was on your TBR and one that wasn’t.

From my TBR:

I had a really hard time narrowing this down to just two books!
Beyond the Highland Mist by Karen Marie Moning
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray

I would love to do a buddy read with you for either of these books. They have both been in my TBR pile forever.

Tiffanny Thank you for the great picks Debbie. I don't think I'm going to be able to do a Buddy Read this month. I just started my first year teaching, and I'm a little more overwhelmed than I thought I would be. Normally I would jump at the chance, sorry. =/
