@ Lethal Didn't think it would be bad, just hoped it wouldn't be too bad. Hmm... Don't know if that makes any sense! Oh well. We'll see how I feel after reading it. ;) I don't think she could disappoint me very much from what I've read so far.
LMAO @ Dana. So do you want me to hold off on adding your book to the list until you're sure you're going to read Eclipse?@ Rebecca: LOL! It makes sense to me. And ITA. Cole's sex scenes always keep me from totally disliking my less than favorite books by her. *Lethal fans self*
No, go ahead and put it down as my choice for the week. I will be decisive or die trying! It is sad but true, a well written sex sceene can make up for countless other plot weaknesses. *wink, wink* ;P
LOL! Will do, Dana!Way to go finishing your Shifter shelf, Rachel! And it was only announced yesterday! Now I'm feeling like a bit of a slacker because I haven't even started mine. LOL.
I haven't even dug mine out of my bookshelves yet. I have 3 PBS game books to read although only 2 are due to be mailed this week. I have Dark Peril by Christine Feehan on audio. Maybe I'll just use that. But I'll leave it as is for now and start the audio book if I haven't picked up Wild Rain by Wed or Thursday.
I just finished No Mercy for the Shifters space. Here's my review.I'm kind of numb about the series. It feels like it's taking forever to get to the point. Ugh!
Anyway, go team Scratch & Sniff!! :)

So so true...can even make you buy the next crappy book in a series in hope of more lusty action....or maybe thats just me :)
I just finished Pride rating it 4.5.I loved it - and started the next as quickly as I could because of the cliffhanger ending.
It was a nice vacation away from the happy ever after crap thats in so many books now. (ok...warm and fuzzies are good sometimes - but surely not in every situation??)
There was some good left of field action, and I genuinely didn't find the book predictable at all ( am I sounding cynical today...sorry...)
I just really enjoyed it...and enjoying the whole shifters genre at the moment.
The only thing I'd like to see is Jace hook up with someone next....hoping...

Nah, it's not just you. ;) Lol!
You're reading fast ladies! I haven't started mine yet either, Lethal. I'm planing though, as soon as possible! :)

I just finished The Sea of Monsters. (Series stamp). Four stars. Review: Another awesome story from Rick Riordan. Percy meets his Cyclopes brother, Tyson, and takes another adventure. This time, Percy sneaks along to help Clarice find the Golden Fleece. Taking the nautical route of Odysseus, Percy and Annabeth encounter Scylla and Charybdis on their way to rescue Grover from Polyphemos.
Judithe wrote: "One of my friends has been encouraging me to take that up...is it hard to learn?"It takes time, but it is worth the effort!

Good Job!! :D
Finished my book for Free Space, from the SOS bookshelf.Mockingjay ★★★☆☆ 3/15/11
It's impossible for me to write a review on the last book in this trilogy without including spoilers, so I'm going to try to keep it brief.
Mockingjay did not live up to my expectation. A lot of crap went down in the first two books that I hoped would be resolved in the last book. They were-but not to my satisfaction. I thought the ending was crap. (view spoiler) This book was so freaking anticlimactic for me. I love the trilogy as a whole but Mockingjay was a hot ass mess. A disappointing end to a fantastic trilogy.
I still haven't picked up a book for this weeks shelf. I have a bunch of game books for PBS to read. But since I got last wks shelf and my free space book in already I'm no not worried. I should be able to catch up on the 2nd shelf once I get all these game books read.
So, on the topic of my 'be decisive or die' statement, it should be known that my death is imminent. I'm reading everything but Eclipse.I apparently need someone to tell me that reading Eclipse will be a trancendental experience and alter my life with its awesomeness. OR, I need someone to say, "Eclipse sucks toe jam, and you need to read (insert book here)."
Anyone up for enabling me in being an indecisive pansy? ;)
LOL! You won't get a "YAY! Read Eclipse!" from me. I don't hate the series but I am extremely apathetic towards it. The only book I even gave in that series more than 3 stars was Breaking Dawn. If you want me to, I can go look at your shelf & see which ones fit the Shifter shelf that I enjoyed.
LOL Dana. Poor thing. I'm kinda with Lethal on this one. While I'm glad I read the whole series, at this time, I wouldn't choose to read them. Too many other goodies out there to be had. But, that's just me. Good luck w/whatever you decide! :)
Finished my shifter book:
Three StarsReview: It was ok. I think the book could have been a good 200 pages shorter. The excitement really starts near the end, leading up the fact that there will be another book in the series. I'm getting irritated by Mary and would like to see more focus on Aden, but he does some irritating and stupid things, too. I've always wondered why authors give characters two names, why can't he just be "Aden" and not "Haden"?
I have absolutely no interest in the Twilight books or movies. I'm glad my teenage daughter has no interest in them either.
Congrats on finishing your Shifter shelf, Kristen! I had the same problem when I attempted to read Unraveled. I enjoyed Intertwined but something was off about "Unraveled." Things that I thought were cute initially weren't cute anymore. And I wanted to gag Mary. Was she always this damn annoying?
Finished my book for Shifters.Soulless ★★★½☆ 3/16/11
Things I Enjoyed:
☺ Alexia's humor & intelligence.
☺ Lord Maccon. Grrr. Sexy as all hells.
☺ Lord Maccon & Alexia together. They had such great chemistry. It makes me sad that this series seems to be PG. *tear*
☺ The supporting characters: Lyall, Ivy, Alkeldama. They were all amazing in their own special ways.
☺ The Steampunkiness. This is my first read from that subgenre & while I didn't understand some of the things going on (hell yeah for the trusty dictionary!) I liked all the technology. And even that fashion-& I'm not one to have an orgasm looking at shoes. Books? DEFINITELY. Shoes & clothes? Hell naw.
Things I Didn't Care For:
☻ The mystery plotline. Or to be more specific, how incredibly slow it took to get off it's feet. I figured out things way before our beloved heroine did & she probably would've if she spent more time sleuthing instead of obsessing over Lord Maccon. Then again, I'd probably obsess over him too.
☻ Alexia talking crap about herself. I understand why (her family is horrid!) but the "Oh! I'm so ugly! Why would anyone want me?!?" crap got old very quickly. Stop telling the man what he wants & let him bend you over that table. Or STFU & let him bend me over that table.
☻ Soulless was a little too fluffy for me. I'm usually game for it but not this time. That might be partly because I finished Mockingjay yesterday & that was all kinds of angsty, emo seriosity. Here's hoping it won't annoy me so much when I read Changeless.
Overall, I enjoyed my introduction to Steampunk. I will definitely read the next book in this series.
Great review, Lethal! I pretty much agree with you on everything. At the end were you like "WTF? That's it???" Lol.I've read all 3 books that are out so far and they're all fluffy, imho. I enjoy them, but I need to be in the mood for fluffy, and that's rare.
But I'm a huge fan of "angsty, emo seriosity". :)
I felt the same about Unraveled, Lethal, there was something off. I will eventually read #2 though. Happy to hear you liked it.

I enjoyed Intertwined but something was off about "Unrave..."It's too bad, because the series could really be cool. I don't think I'll read the third one, because I don't think I can tolerate Tucker. He's a real dumba$$ and I fear that he'll be the focus of the book. Argggghhhh...

I'm showing my 10-year-old daughter how cool it is that we got our first stamp! All she can say is, "Can I have the computer? Can I have the computer?"
No love from my fam!
Lethal...you are killin' me! LMAO! That might be the best book review I have ever read. :) Bend me over that table!.....or chair.....or kitchen counter....etc. ;P
Ah! I am saved! The library made nice with my next Jane Yellowrock book. Off to hang out with Jane...she's way cooler than Bella. :)
AND, I got from the library (in the same day no less) two other treats! I picked up the first book of J.R. Ward's Fallen Angels and the first book of BDB!I'm a Ward virgin so we have to call vampires or angels next week Steph! We just gotta!

I feel ya.
When I told my mom about our Bingo stamp, she just looked at me and then went back to sewing.
It's ok. We know it's important!!

Which Jane book will you be reading, Dana? Hope you enjoy it, whichever it is. I like that series. Need to read Mercy Blade soon.
