Don't worry about the nitty gritty rules Mary, the mods will figure it out so its fair.

Let the game begin!
Our First Shelf is: 'part-of-a-series'
DIRECT LINK: 'part-of-a-series'
Good luck & Happy Reading!
REMINDER: Everyone may now start their free space read as well, if they want

I thought that was already the rule. That everyone on the team had to read for that shelf, rate and review it to get the stamp.
Eek now I can't decide what to read first. I have multiples on that shelf.
This would be easier for me if I didn't have nearly 1,000 books and decisions making issues.

@ Mary: LOL! I know what you mean. That tip for finding a specific book comes in handy, since our first shelf has over 6,000 books on it. At least we should all be able to find a book we want to read with this shelf!

Rec'd:
Lethal:
√Kimberly: How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf-★★★★
√Shannon: Rogue-★★★★

ETA: I'm going to read Iron Crowned for Part of a Series. I haven't decided yet what I'm going to read for the free space.

I'll be reading:
Part-Of-A-Series: The Vampire Bride by Gena Showalter
Freespace: How To Flirt With A Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper
Good luck team!

Everyone, remember that once you've finished your book to post an update with your rating, date read & review! And your review doesn't have to be gigantic. It could simply be a few lines about why you liked said book.

I just spend 3hrs at the gym pool with my daughter. So I didn't get much more done of Faefever. And now I feel like a nap. But I'll listen to more when I make dinner.

I can't wait for the announcement!
Oh man, what shelf will it be? Quick...organize!
Man I hope she announces early!
Oh no, early?!? Am I ready? Did I do all the shelves?
Right on! 'Part of a series' is wide open. Phew, low pressure.
Oh help! I have just shy of a ka-jillion options for that shelf. What to do?
No wonder I get headaches all the time...my brain is so crowded! :)

Maybe GR needs a support group system. You know, like AA. I have those moments you know, when I am standing in the aisles at the book store and am on the border of having an attack where I just sweep entire shelves off into my cart, hand the cashier my credit card, and run like a bank robber with my loot. If I had a GR 'mentor' to call, they could talk me down off the edge. Dana, put your credit card down and step away from the books... hehehe :)

I haven't gotten to that point-yet-but I'm indecisive as hells when it comes to buying books. I will literally spend like 2 hours in a store putting books in my buggy then another 2 hours deciding which ones I really want to read. I thought buying books online would cure me of that, but the result is the same. The only difference is now my fiance doesn't look at me like I'm certifiable for sitting on the floor in the middle of Borders, surrounded by books. *sigh* HEAVEN!

OMG, YES!!! I'll go next.
Hi my name is Kimberly. (Hi Kimberly!)
I always feel compelled to walk into a bookstore even if I'm not purposely going to the book store. I get panic attacks when I'm inside because I'm a ninny and I don't have my list and everything looks like it could have been on my list. As punishment for my ninnyness, I put back the book I think I need for fear that I already have it, only to find out I did need it when I get home to my list.

So - I'm Shannon. Something about me - I'm in Queensland, Australia. I've been a bit absent online cause I'm trying to sort a possible job and interstate move (pretty boring really)...but I promise as quiet as I may appear on here, I will always get my book done :)
@ Kimberly - love the gravy story...and never heard of gravy bacon before...shelter life it sounds like
@ Dana - gotta love the rodeo butts... worth paying the admission even before the animals make it out :D
@ Judithe - mmmm bones!.....still would be interested in the scratch and sniff of Vlad thou...
@ LL - love that your fiancé would buy the man-boobie covered books for you - how do you coerce him is what I need to know!
And Kimberly - I love the team name Scratch and Sniff!

Sorry, Mary, but I haven't read any of those series you've mentioned. I have some TBR, but so far not.
Off to a good start S&S, good luck! :D

ETA: How do I get my fiance to buy smutty covers? Sex. Or to be more accurate, the threat of celibacy. ☺

LMAO!

LOL! No fair! Your sniffin' abilities are too strong, I cannot deny it. :D
LOL Lethal! ;)

Sooooo, I am going to read

Then I am on to

The only day I don't have access to internet, and I miss the first shelf announcement! Oh well. I'm here now!
I will read A Hunger Like No Other for this shelf and Lover Revealed for the Free Space! :)
I will read A Hunger Like No Other for this shelf and Lover Revealed for the Free Space! :)
Good luck to you too, Lethal! :)

I don't know yet! It was recommended, so I started it like 2 years ago and lost my book!!! It finally jumped back into my mind and I hijacked a copy for my Kindle. I only realized it was part of a series recently.
I'm about halfway done right now and I really like it so far! I'll review it tonight. :)

Kristen, The Battle of the Labyrinth was your book for "Part of a Series", correct? If your date read was 3/3/11, it can't be used for the shelf since that shelf wasn't announced until the 5th.

Free Space:

Part of a Series:

Oh, that was fast Dana! Great job. I only started A Hunger Like No Other today and am no further than 15% yet. I guess sometimes real life has to come in between. ;)
Go team!
Go team!

Go team!"
Yes, life is always getting in the way. Which is why I really didn't sleep much Saturday night! ;P It is the only part I seem to have any control over. (This is an illusion but makes me feel good...sshhhhh!)

Don't worry Mary, Free Space runs for the whole challenge. Or that's how I've understood it at least. :) I haven't started that one yet, either.
@ Dana Nights really are the perfect time to read. ;)
