I've finished my SCI-FI/Fantasy book:

FIVE STARS!!!

This is one of the BEST audio books I've ever listened to. I LOVE Adam Rex's subtle humor and not-so-subtle humor. The fact that the narrator is a tween multi-cultural girl is brilliant. My children and I LOVE J.Lo the Boov and we wish he could live at our house. This is a hidden gem and everyone should listen to it!

Even though we didn't win, I had a blast getting to know everyone and seeing the books everyone chose each week. I have a few new ones on my list now because of the reviews and recommendations.

Review: When I chose this book, I was expecting something inspired by To Kill a Mockingbird, but it wasn't. It was a vampire book, but not really. It is more of a romance and a coming of age book with vampires. I liked the narration, the short chapters, and the realistic, bourgoise style that Haig used to tell this story.
