Are These My Basoomas I See Before Me? ★★★★
Just...wow. Reading the last book in the "Georgia Nicolson" series was bittersweet. I started GN when I was in middle school & although I'm much older now, Georgia & her gang's antics still make me burst out laughing. In the last & final book *tear* Georgia is on the rack of lurve. She's with the Luurve God but she feels like she wants something more than snogging & massive amounts of lippy. I LOVED it. Georgia found her maturosity, Jas stopped clinging to Tom & Wet Lindsay finally got hers! There were lots of Dave the Laugh scenes too, which is awesomesauce as he really IS the vati. The lesson learned from reading this wonderful series? Don't take yourself seriously. Life is too short, so fill it with as much laughosity as you can. And beware of the Cosmic Horn. It'll get your arse in trouble every time.
*sigh* I'm all aloney on my owney now, without Georgia & Co. there to make me feel better on a bad day.

My review: Another fun Kitty book. I do miss that Kitty is taking a vacation from her show, but unfortunately for her, it isn't much of a vacation. Kitty gets involved in drama with Ben and Cormac, and she handles it in true Kitty fashion. I really enjoy this series...as it is a fun escape from reality. I love watching Kitty grow into her lycathropy.

Not a winning shelf, but it does bring more teams a(nother) 4-in-a-row!
Our Next Shelf is: 'paranormal-romance'

Plus work has been so busy. I work in the fencing industry (we manufacture and wholesale fence parts) and this of course is the busiest time of year for us. Usually in the afternoon, I'm bored at work and can read but this week I was lucky to get a bathroom break or even lunch.

SWEEEEEEET! This is the one I wished for! If we get the 'paranormal romance' spot, we can win 2 ways. :)
BUT, I did a little secret, undercover recon (hehe) and it looks like two other groups will have 4 in a row with this weeks spot.
So now is our time to shine team! Let's get on this and go nuts. :) We can totally do this!

Sorry - short and simple review tonight...about to drive cross country - literally!
Finished my book -

Gave it a 5 out of 5...What Can I say - I just love her work!
It is again following Mercy Thompson, who of course attracts trouble with ease. One of the things I really enjoyed about this particular book, was the introduction of Native American folklore and also the introduction of other walkers into it...it was just an interesting spin on it.
By this point in the series, I should be getting a bit bored with it - but it continues to be fresh and new - so will definitely stay on my fave series list!
Sorry - got to leave it at that...
My Paranormal Romance Shelf contribution will be -

Have a great week!!

I don't know what I'm going to read for the paranormal-romance shelf. I have a ton of books on that shelf. I'll pick one after I read Dead Reckoning.

Congrats on finishing your "Favorite Series" book, Shannon! I'm glad you liked the latest Mercy Thompson book! Have fun on your road trip!
I'll be reading

Happy Mother's Day, Team!

Much better than Dead in the Family was.

My review: Another gem by Chloe Neill. This one took a little time to get into, but once I was hooked, I was hooked. I like Lily and her ragamuffin friend, Scout. The story is fun, the dialogue is realistic, the romances are intriguing, and the adventures are true Neill. Neill's "rip" on readers made me laugh, (paraphrasing) "who'd want to read about a bunch of pimply-faced teens." I'll read the next one!

Congrats on finishing your books, Mary & Rachel! Go Team Scratch & Sniff!
BTW, Steph? You forgot to put the stamp on the bingo sheet for "Favorite Series". ☺

Here's the updated card: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/5...

This one is another book (I am glad to report) that will not require you to scream, "Get a clue you stupid b!+@?!!!!" Yeah for people who are NOT TSTL, eh Lethal? :)
Even when getting her butt kicked by demons, mages, illness, magic, and physical injury, the heroine is still a calm rational woman. She is currently holding my Smartest PHR Heroine status. She even had a moment of, "OK, two dudes are trying to kill me and I'm about to keel over on my own. Who is going to kill me later rather than sooner? You? OK, I'm going with you, scary demon or no, I'm going with you."
Damn but I like this girl! :)
AND, yeah us for our stamp! ~~<~~ssshhhhtapsteptapshhhh~~~>~~~ (Dana doing a little Temptaions-style wiggle/shuffle.)

I thought it was important that I take this moment to point out the importance of sacrificial chickens....I conducted my pagan rituals, did my native dance, and sacrificed my chicken (yes, boneless/skinless breasts count), and look! We got PNR!
OK, so the Hoffman family is having chicken for dinner tomorrow night, and I am throwing some eye of newt in my cauldron! We are looking for witches. Come on baby, mama just picked up
