LMAO! Carpet angels & shaking booties! Too funny! I'm happy you're a member of my team, as well. You sure as hell bring laughter & fun to dull days.
Cool purchases, Mary! I haven't gotten around to reading Singh's PC series yet but I hope you enjoy them! And Shadowfever! AHHHH!

I'm half way through and I really like it. I have Storm's Faeries in my TBR already. Too bad my PBS WL is full and I can't add the other 2 yet.

I'll add it to the list. I'm glad that you were able to find a book you're enjoying, Mary! I've read Strong's "Ghostland World" series & adore it but I haven't read any other books by her so far.

8 books read in 6 days. Not bad, team. Not bad at all! Go Scratch & Sniff!

Please and thank you! I add to it when I think of it. But, appreciate you (and everyone else) who has taken time to add to the group's bookshelves. :D

I am lucky in that I have a desk job and a boss (Mom) that doesn't mind if I come online when all my work is done. Like on Fridays when I'm the only one here and just here to answer the phone. But since most of our customers are also either closed on Fridays or know no one else is here-the phone barely rings. And so I surf, do my reviews, read and do some minor cleaning (just to get off my butt for a bit).

LOL! I like the covers. The artwork is beautiful IMO but I agree, they do seem a little frightening. Especially

Way to go finishing your free space!

I wanted to make sure you saw I finished my Free Space book in post #192.
:-)

Lol! I don't want to let the team down ;-)

The girl just looks like one of those creepy killer-children that shows like CSI like to pull out every so often.

=) Aww, the only way you could let me down is to say you don't want to hang with us anymore. I love having you here & on my team.

Ah, yes. THAT cover. I know what you mean. I passed on buying it at least 4 times because I thought it was a creepy ghost story. Or Children of the Corn. *shudder* It wasn't until I read a few reviews online that I realized it wasn't.
I hate when I GR decides not to update me on certain threads, especially this one! Even though I have had a few busy/migraine days lately... Blergh. Well, if anyone missed me, I'm back! Have finished A Hunger Like No Other as well and will post the review as soon as possible! We'll see if it'll be before or after I fall asleep though. ;)

Glad you're feelin better :)
Yeah, I'll have to learn that. I had lots of them from all the other threads though! Haha. Oh well. I'll have to check in regularly without the notifications. ;)
It's the safest way, at least!
Did manage to finish the review before bed! Apparently I suck at writing shorter thoughts about books though, but I've done my best, haha.

I was afraid of starting this series, since I've heard so many good things about it and really wanted to like it, so I almost expected to be disappointed. Guess what? I wasn't. Not at all! I should have listened to all IAD readers out there and just started it right away.
I loved A Hunger Like No Other even more than the prequel. The mythology, the writing, the characters... I especially love the Valkyrie though; they all truly are one of a kind. Of course, the main characters were very lovable as well. I really liked that Emma was so careful and innocent, yet still managed to handle herself when a situation presented itself. It's not the usual type of heroine you come across when reading. And Lachlain... Although not being a gentleman at all, for most of the time, (and a werewolf; a species I for some reason can't stand) I really came to love him. He had his issues but still tried his hardest to make Emma happy. Plus, I really am a sucker for those tough men with a soft spot for their woman!
After finally getting the time, all I can say is that I really loved it. I could barley put it down for the second half of it, and had to 1-Click home the sequel as soon as I'd turned the final page. Now I have it ready, waiting for me to pick it up, and I can't wait! This series' definitely worth a try.

After a brain break of a few days, I'm ready for the next shelf!
Rebecca, I'm glad you liked AHLNO! Cole's one of my go to authors that never fails to disappoint me.

Just finished for shelf 'Part of a Series'

This book is my favorite in the series so far.
Being book 5 - I figured it would continue the awesomeness - or would pretty much suck - and become a repeat of the others.
It was great seeing the story unfold, the relationships continue to develop and grow. I felt it was the most settled and mature so far.
What I loved:
* Adam and Mercy's relationship continuing to develop.
* Sam being much more a key player.
* The bit of diversity - Adams issues/pack issues/fae issues/Sam's issues.....
* Mercy maturing, and not being as reactive.
What was a bit frustrating:
* Would've liked a little more during the height of the drama.
* The pack members were really just brief cameos - yet impacted much of the story. Hopefully we see them a bit more in the future books.
I love this series!

@ Shannon: I LOVE your review format. Would you mind if I borrowed it for a few of the reviews I post in this game?

Reading Rogue has made me adjust my previous rating of Stray - just heaps better!
The story continues with Faythe, and as much as she is still kinda annoying in her impulsive/self-centred ways - she's kinda cool for the same reasons.
Faythe is still with the pride, trying to prove that she can match it with the men as an enforcer, when dead bodies start appearing.
The build up was really good, the actual 'action' was great... my only reason for the 4 out of 5 is there was just 'something' missing...can't put my finger on it - but it was just lacking that little element to make it awesome... And I wish that she hooked up with someone other than Marc (he just annoys me) :)

@ Shannon: I LOVE your review format. Would you..."
Go for it! I just couldn't think of any other way to do it....you know lost for words kinda thing :)

I was a bit dubious about it initially...but I really love it. Hope you do too!

*You may choose your book and start reading now*
Happy Reading!! :)

Oh, yay! I was hoping it would be announced today. Had some problem deciding what to read and if it was better to wait... Problem solved! Now I'm off to look through the shelf!

I think I will use the above for this since I just got books 2, 4 and 5 at the Borders closing sale and have book 1 for months now. Maybe I'll use the next Borders coupon I get on book 3.
I'll probably have through next weekend to read and mail Dead so maybe I'll get lucky and next week one it' shelves will be called. I can hope anyway.
So many good ones for this shelf! Hmm.. tough choice, but I think I'll have to continue with IAD and will read No Rest for the Wicked. :)

I'm going to read

And I love when members from other teams pop in to our group with a post. They're not exclusive at all, everyone is welcome at all the other team threads. :)

I'll be reading

Mary, I have Slave to Sensation as one of picks for the shelves. I've had it for ages but I'm now eager to read it.
Rebecca, like Lethal, NRFTW wasn't one of my faves, but it didn't keep me from coming back to the series.
Lethal, I really liked Soulless and the rest of the series. There's another book coming out later this year.
Go Team Scratch & Sniff! We're on our way to our first stamp!! :)

Really loving this genre at the moment! And the shelf was perfecct timing for me to follow on with the 3rd in the Shifters series.
So I'll be reading

@ Lethal & Kimberly Well, hopefully it won't be too bad! I'll give it a try in any case. :)

@ Rebecca: I don't think it will be bad at all. Yes, it's my least favorite IAD book but Cole is such a gifted writer IMO that her worse is better than a lot of authors bests.
@ Mary: It's no problem! You are allowed to change your books. In fact, I encourage my teammates to change their books if they aren't feeling it or want to read something else. I'd rather you pick more than one book then feel like you have to read one you hate.

I only read the first 2 of these and then my brain wandered off somewhere else. I think I discovered LoTU and of course Twilight didn't stand a chance against 'Flowers', and the gang! Meeeerowww! ;)
I hear Eclipse is better than New Moon, so here's hoping!
