I read Fire and Ice by Dana Stabenow.
I didn't like this as well as the Kate Shugak books. Part of the problem, I think, was that she told me far more than I ever wanted to know about herring fishing.

I read Artemis Fowl. When I read this the first time, I gave it 2 stars. Since so many people who like the same books I do liked it so much more, I thought I should give it another chance. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it any more this time - still 2 stars.
