"The year is 2084 and the world has changed. Wracked by calamities and crawling with monsters, the last remaining humans face a dangerous existence. And now, the Earth has been sent a message from the deepest reaches of space – a dark countdown to the extinction of all humanity. But there is hope! Five thousand children will be rescued by these mysterious message-senders.
This is the journey of Hototo, one of the lucky five thousand – but only if his teenage sister, Tala, can safely deliver him to the nearest Extraction Beacon before time runs out.
WE LIVE is a world of violence and beauty, a unique tale of the apocalypse as told by Inaki Miranda (Catwoman, Batman Beyond) and Roy Miranda, that invites both dread and hope."

I got it, too. That was a fun series when I was a kid.
Got caught up with work and not seeing several books I wanted as available (Hells Paradise 8, Levius Est 8, & No Guns Life 10). Looks like the coming soon entries are still there so maybe they didn't get released on IST today.
Went ahead and ordered the Neil Gaiman Library Editions volume 2 and 3 along with the Elephantmen Mammoth TPB vol 1 to check the series out. I've had that volume in my wishlist on IST for well over a year. =)

I've actually never read it, eyed the MMWs for awhile, so I'm happy to see the omnibus. I never "got" the whole Tarzan thing, but to be fair, never read or saw some of the original stuff.
If you are interested, there was a modern Ka-Zar series written by Waid and drawn by one of the Kubert brothers, Andy I believe. The art is beautiful, but can't recall how good the stories were (it got cancelled relatively quickly.)

A lot of it holds up well honestly. I have read EVERY Alien and Predator book, and the early aliens stuff is amongst the best. If you are interested you can peruse r/LV426 or https://www.avpgalaxy.net for reviews on standout series. It might help you decide if you want to get vol 2 and beyond as well.

Batman vs Predator, which was amazing. One of best Batman adventures ever.
Batman and Superman vs Predator and Alien which was meh...
I mean what chace Alien and Predator have against Superman but i got it for the art, Ariel Olivetti's art was amazing and it was only two parts or something, so i got it expecting nothing from the story....

Today I ordered from IST:
Hulk by Peter David Vol 3 DM cover
Death or Glory Prestige Edition HC
Chartwell Manor HC

Ordered Hulk by Peter David V3. Went back and forth on which cover to get but I ended up buying the "blue" cover. Wasn't sure which one was the DM cover either.
Also ordered Blade of the Immortal V2.
Also ordered Blade of the Immortal V2.
I picked up the Death or Glory hardcover from Remender (DM cover) and a couple manga paperbacks.

I debated getting Death or Glory. Definitely want to read it, but not sure if I want to buy it.

I haven't read any of it yet but mostly enjoyed Remender's stories the last few years so thought I'd give it a shot. Hopefully I'll like it. =)

Looks like they added the X of Swords issues to the Hickman Omnibus!

So glad to see this so I don’t have to buy the other omnibus.

Hmmm, the X of Swords OHC has a lot more content for the story though so not sure this has enough content to make the event make sense. X of Swords content is (from Amazon, not reading order):
Collects X of Swords: Creation (2020) #1, X of Swords: Stasis (2020) #1, X of Swords: Destruction (2020) #1, X-Men (2019) #12-15, Excalibur (2019) #13-15, Marauders (2019) #13-15, X-Force (2019) #13-14, New Mutants (2019) #13, Wolverine (2020) #6-7, Cable (2020) #5-6, Hellions (2020) #5-6, X-Factor (2020) #4.
The full event included four prelude issues and 22 issues plus a handbook issue (so 27 issues). The handbook and prelude issues (Excalibur 12, Marauders 11-12, and Cable #4) were not included in the OHC.

True, I won't understand the event, but from a "collecting only the X-Men" series, it's better, because there won't be the gap. I've only read X-Men up to about issue 12 so I'm not sure how linear and self-contained the series is anyway.

With the effort that went into capturing everything going on in the X-men universe with the Dawn of X/Rein of X trade paperbacks I'm a little sad they aren't doing an omnibus where they actually print the full story in chronological order. That's what folks that do custom binds usually end up doing and it is what Marvel wants people picking up single issues to do. However, they don't facilitate it in their collected editions very well at all.
Ordered Hellboy Universe Secret Histories HC, Marvels Snapshots OHC, and Elephantmen Mammoth Edition TPB vol 2.

I'm probably the only one who hasn't been doing this, but I'm going to have to start thoroughly inspecting my books when they arrive. My Ka-Zar omnibus arrived last week and one of the corners was damaged as if it had been dropped before it was packaged in the box. (Returning and getting a replacement.)
Last night I pulled out a book that I had received a couple weeks ago and noticed it also had damaged corners at both the top and bottom.
Both of these were from IST. They did offer a discount on the Ka-Zar if I kept it.
Be sure to inspect your books when they arrive!

Based on wording, pretty sure I just spotted you on Reddit. Props on getting the word out in multiple communities to help people!

Thank you! I'm still trying to decide if I really want the X-Men Classic omni, or if I can just stick with the basic UXM storyline.

Probably because I'm a seasoned bookseller but I usually check the corners especially and the spine for damage. Had myTDKR slip case arrive damaged from Amazon, everything else lately has been great.

Yeah, I think I'm so used to the superior packaging I just didn't bother ever looking.
Hamza, I don't know if you've read that Thor by Simonson, but I really enjoyed that, despite not even being a huge Thor fan.

Years ago, when I first started collecting X-Men omnis, I set a goal for myself: own all UXM and X-Men vol. 2 issues in collected form, from 1963 onwards (later settled on HoX/PoX until DoX gets some sort of hardcover treatment). Over time I created a buying schedule to keep me on track and fiscally responsible, which I promptly derailed thanks to recommendations from groups like this (no complaints, love it here) and an obsession with graded comics and original artwork.
I’m now at 63 graded comics from CGC & CBCS, despite swearing I’d stop at 50 (I have a problem, promise I’m getting better). My collection has spread into 2 rooms, I’m running out of storage for my omnis, and I've started to severely reconsider future purchases. Today my May 4th IST order arrived at last, and with it the last few trades that finally helped me reach my goal.
I’ve always anticipated this day would be exciting, but truth be told: it feels bittersweet. Paired with news today about eBay and some controversial payment changes, I’ve thinking that’s the end of my seller career, which was an additional blow to my overall mood.
Any way I look at it, today is the definitive start of a new epoch in my comic collecting. I’m not quite sure how I feel about things yet, but wanted to mark the occasion with a post. I’m thinking I’m going to start slowing down considerably with future additions, and at the very least, I’ll continue to enjoy the discussions on here.

I actually haven't! I've always thought Thor was an interesting character, but I've never read a complete run of his comics. I'm pretty excited about having this one.

Anyone know if there is a way to quote reply using the Goodreads app? I’m always on this board through the app and as far as I can tell, there’s no way to do it. I feel like I’m missing something obvious.

I've looked for that quote reply too but I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist. I have lots of issues with the GR app, on many levels. Wish they would spend more time on improving it. I can type much faster (and more accurately) on a full keyboard so I use both desktop and the phone app.

Noelbeast, congrats on reaching your collecting milestone!
Are you going to do a read through at some point?
I'm not there on the X-men as there are some books I've avoided getting thinking my enjoyment might not be high enough to qualify them/I can't buy everything (specifically the first two omnibus volumes and the classic volume). I'm not sure about the Grand Design omnibus so I put that one off.

I love that run of Thor! Was reading it in monthly format when it came out many years ago.

Cool man, and appreciate your dedication! Blind said it above and I agree—the app has its limitations. I’m almost always on my phone, so when I have a long reply or want to quote people, I use the site on my web browser.

Change is good, thanks! I go in fits with my reading habits—sometimes it’s several issues in a day, others I get one issue in before bed. Overall I estimate I’ve read roughly 40% of my collection. We’ll see what happens as I get closer to the end, see if I start changing my tune about easing off.

Thanks Blind! New goals: right now just buying new X-omnis as they release, and lately I’ve been buying up high grade blank sketch-cover comics to take with me to future conventions. Part of my graded comics obsession is hunting sketch covers of favorite characters or artists. I just sent off a comic to CGC to get a Marc Silvestri sketch, actually. Not the same as meeting him in person, but man I’ve been chasing an opportunity to get some of his work for a while.

Thanks Rel! I’m been doing a read-through for a while, actually! When I was pretty young I had an old MMW of the first 10 issues of X-Men, and I literally read that book to death. I’ve read sporadic stories, like the Dark Phoenix Saga, but since I started collecting omnis, etc., I’ve read continuously from the late 80’s to now in the Messiah Complex era. The tricky part is where to break off and go back to the start, maybe after AvX? There’s some classic stories back there I have knowledge of, read sporadically, but never experienced the whole story line.
In between, there’s definitely been chunks where my enjoyment has been low (cough Chuck Austen cough), but it’s still cool to me to experience the entirety of things, make the obscure connections, etc. I also find it helps me appreciate the good runs even better—too much of a good thing gets boring after awhile, so the “trash” gives me a better sense of variety.

All New Wolverine by Tom Taylor Omnibus HC Kubert DM variant.
Wonder Woman War of The Gods Omnibus HC

On top of that, I’m definitely ordering this slipcase edition of Something is Killing the Children. I’m kind of worried that it won’t match future volumes on my shelf but I guess I’ll take that risk.
