Agh- I have misplaced my computer charger, so I can’t copy and paste the questions or update the spreadsheet, but I read 128 pages yesterday (8th). My roommate is away for the weekend but I should be able to borrow her charger when she’s back tomorrow and fill things in!
I did the Book Reader Problem tag. I also read 96 pages of Empire of Storms, and read both The Lorax (72 pages) and Just a Little Critter Collection (176 pages) although I;m not sure if either of those count. Maybe Little Critter was long enough to count.

Sounds like a good question to me too

Sarah posted this one
“Has the author published 10 or more books?”"
These I like too
I did the Synonyms & Antonyms game. I also added it to the spreadsheet. I think we have 3 questions right now. Based on the comments I’m thinking it’s safe to bold this question.
”Does the author’s surname begin with a letter from A-M?”
Do we want to try and narrow the letter further after getting the answer to this question (if now, then it’s N-Z so we could ask if it’s between N-R or some other set).
Or do we want to go ahead and ask something else. Some ideas suggested are
“Has their work been adapted for film/tv/theatre?”
“Is their work considered to be classics?”
“Have they published X (insert number here) or more books?”

Yes, Little Critter is long enough. If it's a new author or for your ATY challenge then I can slot it in for bucket 4.
Sarah E wrote: "I have finished the The Other Daughter, by Lauren Willig. If needed, it would work for a book released during the summer. I read 200 pages today (6/8/19). I have also done The Book ..."
We aren't on that bucket just yet. If it is being used for your ATY challenge or a new author then we could use it for bucket 3.
Does the author's surname begin with a letter from A-M? Yes

As a reminder, it is probably best if people update their own page count and game count in the spreadsheet. The link is in the first post
I finished reading A Girl Is a Half-formed Thing, which counts as an ATY book and a new-to-me author. I read 224 pages yesterday and completed the Book Titles game; I added those to the spreadsheet.
I just finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone , which was one of my ATY challenge books (a children's classic you've never read), so we can add this into the current bucket!
I finished Sabrina which is for my ATY challenge and is a new-to-me author.I believe we have one slot left for each of those so feel free to use it for either.
And I should finish An American Marriage this evening when I get off work which can be used for “A book related to nature” in the next bucket.
Since y'all are rocking the challenge so far, the mods have decided to add more buckets. There are now 11 buckets to be completed. Happy strategizing!
I just finished An American Marriage on my way to work (sorry, am on my phone so I cant link the book). it can be used for the nature slot
so if we have 3 question I think we should ask Have they published X (insert number here) or more books?”
That question seems to have been brought up multiple times. I bold that question "Has he published more than 10 books?" I'd physically bold it, but I'm on the phone and it can't bold
Hey everyone! I'm joining a little late. I'm Anna and I'm looking forward to joining the group. I'm going to catch up on where we are now.

Laura wrote: "Rachel wrote: "I did the Book Reader Problem tag. I also read 96 pages of Empire of Storms, and read both The Lorax (72 pages) and [book:Just a Little Critter Collection..."Unfortunately not a new author to me or for ATY.
I read Wakenhyrst. Has a bird on the cover -
. 304 pages added to spreadsheet.
I also completed the Synonym and Antonym game.

Right now we just have the character name (starting with J-U-N-E) left for the current bucket.
We have Sarah's book but does anyone else have a book they could apply to this prompt? I don't want Sarah to take all the pressure ;)

I’m almost done with Stone Sky, which has 2 main characters, Essun and Nassun, that will work. Should finish tonight.
I think we have to watch asking if he wrote in English, translations can be confusing. if we asked if his native language was English would significantly narrow it down.
I think all we know about location on the author is 'not American', so I would vote for questions to narrow that down. Something like:"Is he from the Northern Hemisphere?"
"Is he from Europe?"
"Is he from Asia?"
I also agree with narrowing the location. I just finished the three individual day challenges. I also just finished reading The Wedding Date which was 320 pages.
Finished Where the Crawdads Singand added page numbers. It was published in August when we get to the next bucket
I think we should narrow down location and name.
“Was he from Europe?” Or “Was he from Asia?”“Does his surname begin with a letter from A-F?” Or “Does his surname begin with a letter from G-M?”
Someone can pick one from each — we have four questions I believe!
