Sophie | 132 comments I'm working through my Goodreads Choice Nominee book still as I've been off for a week and on various trips with my daughter to entertain her. I'm struggling with it slightly, but I'm over halfway through so it seems stupid to change it now!

Gotcha. Ok, will keep working on it

SHELF #9: Books to TV/Movie

Book: Living Dead in Dallas

Qualification: TV Show True Blood based on series

Read: 08/05/19
Rating: 3
Review: I know this series and show are highly popular, but I can't say I'm overly interested in it. It is OK and I likely will read more in the series as it fits various challenges. But I won't jump right into the next series dying to know what happens next. Ms. Prim and Proper portraying Sookie from the start of the series is now happy to have lots of sex and even enjoying kissing others beside Bill. How quickly she has changed.

No, it's nothing like that, it was just that I had been trying to find a group that fit with a challenge in another group. I still have what I need to complete that category soon. Thanks, though.

Review: I found this book hard to get into and the way it jumped around from past to present made it a little difficult to follow at first but once I hit my rhythm I found this book fascinating. Romy Hall is about to start serving two consecutive life sentences, after having been let down by her public defender, for murdering her stalker. I found her story incredibly sad, especially as she did not come across as a bad person. Her worry for her seven year old son really tugged at my heart the most. The book seemed reminiscent of Orange is the New Black, some of the characters were very similar.

Review: This is a dark NA college romance. Some parts were a bit uncomfortable to read, Remmy's hatred towards Jules was a bit much really. Other parts I found a bit far-fetched. Still, it was a quick bit of 'fluff' to read to catch up with my shelves

Review: This story is told in alternating perspectives of the consequences of both decisions. It was really interesting how one seemingly insignificant choice led her down two drastically paths. This book talks a lot about fate and "what is meant to be." It was thought provoking and I really enjoyed it. There were some cliche, whatever parts that I didn't care for. It was a pretty average romance for me, but I still enjoyed it.

Review: Reading As Old As Time was like looking at Beauty and the Beast with new eyes. It was amazing around every twist and turn. One thing I liked better about the live action movie was that it showed a lot more of the backstory, but this rendition puts that backstory to shame.
