My choice for a boring cover,
hasn't arrived for me at the library yet, so I'm swapping it for
★★★, which I finished today. I'm past halfway with my challenge! 5/9
My scenic cover was News of the World by Paulette Jiles. Lovely cover and good book! 4.5★
My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Thanks Brenda :) You did well too, to finish already. It's been a while since I was in a reading kind of mood, but this afternoon I somehow read a whole book! (6/9)
★★★★The next one I'll read is
.
Finished fifth book, #6 Boring Cover: No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy (2005). I tend to prefer to watch my Westerns than read it. I heard the Coen brothers adaptation is very good. Probably watching it this weekend!
★★★★☆
Easy Progress: 3/3 | Medium Upgrade Progress: 2/3

I have started my really appropriate cover (which has changed since my original choice)
Now, it is not at especially eye catching cover and one does not really realise just how appropriate it is until one starts reading.
The 'feud' started over a competition to design a set of bronze doors for a church in Florence, and the book cover is actually a picture of the doors.
So far, I am enjoying it immensely even though I feel that a more accurate title may have been something along the lines of "A possible feud that may or may not have existed with little evidence either way"
I am sooo behind and I'm not talking about my tail feathers!! Still reading
The Wild Inside which is my 5th of 9! It's excellent but I've been getting interrupted so often that now I'm wondering if I can finish this challenge in time! I had anticipated LOTS of reading time because when we're out here at the cabin that's what I usually have, but we had unanticipated company for the first week. Not folks I'm overly fond of, either, if I'm honest. They left yesterday so now I'm going to try and catch up! Yeah! =o)
I've finished the MEDIUM challenge. A bit of a mixed bag this month!✔ 2. A cover you don't like
Size Zero by A.C. Moyer (doesn't fit the title or give any idea of the book) 2★✔ 4. A really appropriate cover
The Secrets She Keeps by Michael Robotham AA 5★✔ 5. A cover you love
Tell Me Why by Sandi Wallace AA. 4★✔ 7. A flowery cover
It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover 4★✔ 8. A scenic cover
A Gem of a Problem by Irene Sauman AA 3.5★✔ 9. Reader's choice
Gentleman Jole and the Red Queen by Lois McMaster Bujold. 4★
I've finished my 6th, which is my last one as I went for medium level:A colourful cover - Vengeance in Death by J.D. Robb 4*
However I am wondering whether I can fit another 3 before the end of the month!
I have finished my third, The Other Einstein
by Marie Benedict. It s my cover that I like. Most enjoyable. I have read some other books though that aren't on this list! I was ambitious going for nine!

Finished my second book for this challenge: A boring cover - The Shack by the Bay by Lea Davey 5★ (loved this one)
Just reread your review on that one, Brenda. Now going to my library site to see if I can request it :)
Finished my 2nd - a colourful cover:
.I always enjoy seeing well known stories turned on their head by giving a voice to the other side. At times, this was a little predictable & had a few moments where the modern world view creeped in a bit more than I had hoped but overall it was fun, romantic take on a classic.
Finished my 3 for June3. A colourful cover. - The Girl in the Yellow Vest
Loretta Hill AA 5★4. A really appropriate cover. - The Forgotten Garden
Kate Morton AA 4★8. A scenic cover - Jamaica Inn
Daphne du Maurier 3.5★

Well.... I'm definitely not going to finish this one in time. Normally I would have had plenty of time to read my books while on vacation at our cabin. However, no one informed me that we would have (unwanted) company for half the time! Oh well. I'll have heaps of time from now on to catch up! Better late than never! Well done for everyone who finished! =o)
Finished sixth and final book last night, #7 Flowery Cover: The Natural Way of Things by Charlotte Wood (2015) (AA). The cover is all muted and flowery; the story is anything but!
★★★★☆
Easy Progress: 3/3 | Medium Upgrade Progress: 3/3 - Challenge completed with a bit of time to spare! :D
