50.1 - Bryony's Task: Let's Start at the Very Beginning


1. For this task I used the 3rd 5 point task, which states:
“3. In 1492 Columbus Sailed The Ocean Blue - In Honor Of Columbus Day (October) - Read A Novel Where The Main Character Travels At Sea Or A Non-Fiction Book About Sea Travel.”
So I read “The Rathbones The Rathbones by Janice Clark by Janice Clark which is about a whaling family, all of whom travel at sea. This book has 384 pages.

2: For this task, I read “Deadline Deadline by Chris Crutcher by Chris Crutcher, since it is set in Trout, Idaho, which is 148 miles as the crow flies from Salt Lake City, my birthplace, or 198 miles by car. This book has 316 pages.

3. For this task, I used the option SO, and read “Forever and Forever: The Courtship of Henry Longfellow and Fanny Appleton Forever and Forever The Courtship of Henry Longfellow and Fanny Appleton (Historical Proper Romance #1) by Josi S. Kilpack by Josi S. Kilpack, since it is a historical fiction that starts in 1836. It was published in 2016, and has 336 pages.

All of the pages of these books together equal 1036.
