Has anyone been submitting our stops to NBRC Travel Agent?

On this stop: Are we going to do a spell-it-out? Detour? I vote for detour this time

As far as I can tell, we have completed two tours with 4 members contributing. This gives us 20 points so far.

I too suggest we do detour for this stop. For detour, we have to read book with title starting with a 'T'.

Thanks for the welcome. I just started Poison Study by Maria Snyder, which I should finish by tomorrow. I could read a T book then, if you wanted me to. I need to re-read Twice Tempted by Jeaniene Frost anyway before I can read the new books in that series. Its been so long, I don't remember what it was about.

Five have voted for Detour with one saying they couldn't do the Detour. If Abigail and Roger would return and be able to do a Detour, we could have 7 members doing the Detour. :)

Irene, I am asking if you can use Sandheden om Harry Quebert-sagen as your "T" Title using the English version. I think I read that you can use any books that you have started since 8/21/16.

I didn't put a whole lot of effort into the letters -- I just checked the book description on GR. If the last name wasn't listed, I didn't go search for it. IF you think we need it, I'll do the leg work.

Susan, the dates, are they when you started the book or finished? I will need both dates. :) NBRC says we have to have started them on or after 8/21/16. Looks good, though! If you don't want to list the ratings, you don't need to. :)

Hmmm...is it enough to say NONE of these were started before Aug 21? I don't keep track of start dates. However, I never read multiple books at a time, so I can tell from August list that I must have started His Royal Secret on Aug 21st. I'm about 99% certain, so maybe I should cross that one off - -all of the others, definitely 100% certain started 8/21 or later

If I added dates, for the most part I'd be guessing. For example -- Star Runner -- did I start it on Sept 15th before bed and finish on Sept 16th? Or did I start it in the morning on the 16th? I don't know -- but either way, it's after Aug 21st.

Please let me know what changes you'd like me to me make. I'm brand new to the NBRC group. I can adjust as needed and would prefer directions. Going forward, I can mark down start dates. I'm just not certain whether or not to make guesses of start dates for that list above.

:) That is OK. I will assume all of them were started on the day before you completed them. His Royal Secret is good as you believe it was started on Aug 21st. Yes, please list start date going forward. The only changes you (can make IF you want to) is the ratings as we don't need them. :) If you could let me know which ones you think took you longer to read than one day, that would be a big help. Such as they were 350+ pages for example

NBRC isn't a strict group (I am in one that is very strict) and this group is pretty lenient. :) So, just have fun doing the challenges. The only requirement I saw for this challenge was the books had to be started after the groups start date. (our group was 8/21/16)

I took out the stars.

I very rarely take more than 2 days to read a book. I don't read many long books, and I almost never read a book that requires real brain power. Fast easy reads for me :)

From that list, Kestrel's Talon I most likely started on 9/7 and finished on 9/9. I was in Disney World on vacation with the kids from 8/25 - 9/12, so that portion of the list I am a bit fuzzy on the details. Most of them are really short, but the since page length isn't a requirement, I included them. All the other books, I either started and finished in the same day, or started on the date prior to what is listed.

The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair. NBRC group is pretty easy going and since this challenge is self-governing (so to speak) I say we go for it. They are the same books. :)

Also, I finished another book today. Should I enter it directly into the backlog since we aren't using it for the detour? Or should I post it here in the thread? I average about 40 books per month, so clearly we won't be using most of them. I'm not sure if posting it all is just creating more work.
