Tropical Storm Hermione from the beaches of St. Augustine. She had already rolled over us by this time. Didn't do much but rain here, but some family in Tallahassee is still without power...

Be careful.
Excellent photo though.
But really I hope everybody is safe.

How do you pronounce that?
I don't know how you guys do it, to be honest.I have something like 320 books on my goodreads to-read list. That's not books I own... just books I've marked as being interested in getting around to. And that's enough to make me tetchy.
(I want to cull, actually... but every time I start I get indecisive.)
That's what I'm worried about too, tbh. 320 isn't a huge amount... roughly 3 years worth of reading, give or take... but I keep adding more.I kinda feel bad, but I'm starting to think I'm gonna cull anything by self-pubbed authors, at least partially because they're not available at my library and I'm not paying money to take that chance anymore.
OMG. That SO is me. SO ME. It's terrible, to be honest. I have like a fear of missing out...on books that I do not read once I purchase. But I am READY in case of the Zombie Apocalypse. Won't have to borrow/buy any books for a few years.
Yes. YES.I need like 5 of them. No. 7 of them. One to wear for every day I have to spend with a family member.
A few of my local grocery stores have recently started doing curbside pickup. It's so nice. I just did my shopping online, and now I just have to run and pick it up tomorrow morning. No waiting in line or trucking the baby around a busy store.... Bliss. It's pretty great! Plus I save money usually by doing it. When I'm actually in a store, I'm annoyed and tired and am trying to hurry and grab things so I don't stand in peoples way. Online I can compare and pick lower priced items. This better not go away!

@MrsJ - I was worried about the produce too, but they do a good job. They have people who go out and shop for the stuff you want, so they check the quality of the produce and expiration dates and stuff for you. And you can add comments (like "green bananas" or "ripe avocados" or "slightly firm avocados") if you are particular. I haven't been disappointed yet.@Nicki - I'm sure bigger cities have delivery, but I'm just in a regular old suburb. No grocery delivery for us yet! I'd settle for some decent food delivery though.. All we can get delivered is pizza and one Thai place. Some Chinese at least would be nice!

Blergh! I lost my Fitbit ages ago and haven't replaced it so I can't join any of the challenges. I'm hoping I can catch a sale at some point. I miss being able to track my steps.
I upgraded to a Charge 2 (I had a One) a few months ago and I really like it. It motivated me to get back to moving and tracking, and I've lost 15 lbs since I got it. 10 to go and I'll be back to pre-baby weight! Although I have been slacking since I went back to work... I'll get better though, just have to find the balance.
Jackie wrote: "Blergh! I lost my Fitbit ages ago and haven't replaced it so I can't join any of the challenges. I'm hoping I can catch a sale at some point. I miss being able to track my steps."That sucks. :(
Just as an FYI: if you find one on sale at Amazon (by Amazon) you can take that to Best Buy and they'll price match.

It starts on the wrist but has a necklace accessory that's $80 (but on sale right now). O_O
I do want to upgrade but that's $150... and I really wanted to get a new P90X3. There's only but so much I can spend on fitness accessories per year...
FYI - Bed Bath & Beyond has them on sale for $130 for black Friday. Only $20 off, but it's something.
Dawn wrote: "FYI - Bed Bath & Beyond has them on sale for $130 for black Friday. Only $20 off, but it's something."Which ones?
I'm thinking about just buying it and getting over it when the sale starts - I haven't bought a new one in some time...But I really want that P90X3. But I probably am not cleared to do it...but since I finished Jillian Michaels's BodyShred...I don't know if I really care!
I'm kind of limited on my options because I don't like stuff on my wrists, except for loose bangles. I really liked the Fitbit One but that sucker slipped right out of its case. I'm afraid to pay $80 for another one and have the same thing happen.
I didn't like things on my wrist either, and it still annoys me from time to time, but I've gotten used to it. I like to know what my heart rate is at random times. It's 65 bmp right now.
I own a fitbit charge hr. It does not burn my wrisr. most of the time it's great, but about 5% of the time the heart rate is wrong, sometimes wildly so, especially when going for a walk. It's still pretty useful to encourage me to be more active and to encourage me to reduce emi resting heart rate. it would probably be useless with p90x though, since it has difficulty reading heart rate when you do anything that flexes the muscles on your forearm.

Its really sensitive to oils which makes no sense since its made to go close to the body.
Nicki wrote: "I was thinking of getting a Fitbit, but I was on the fence about which one to get due to the reports of chemical burns from some models. I'm not sure which ones they've fixed. I found out I'm getti..."I hadn't heard of that!
What I like about the Fitbit system is that you can challenge your friends (and yourself), which is cool. And they've recently started "adventures" which is a single person trek through either the NYC Marathon track or Yosemite Park.
MrsJ - they have replacement cases cheap on Amazon, I used to go through them like crazy:https://www.amazon.com/MDW-Colorful-R...
My one complaint about the Charge 2 (and all fitbits worn on the wrist for that matter) is that it doesn't track steps unless you are moving your arm. So when I used to take walks pushing my son in a stroller, I had to push the stroller one handed in order for it to track well. Likewise at the grocery store... It's kinda annoying. A fix is to put it on your shoe or in your pocket when you are pushing something, but that sort of negates the whole heart rate thing.
And I agree about the challenges. MrsJ and I were competing hard core a few weeks ago before my maternity leave ended and I suddenly had no time. I'd go for a 3-4 mile walk during the day thinking I'd pull ahead of her, but then by evening she'd be back in the lead, so I'd hop on the elliptical after the baby went down to get in some extra steps. I had some of my best weeks of walking because of those competitions!
Nicki wrote: "colleen the fabulous fabulaphile wrote: "My new phone actually has a heart rate monitor. It's cool... but kinda weird."That's so clever! Do you know how it works? (The geek in me is curious. :D)"
There's a monitor on the back of the phone, next to the camera lens. If you use the heart rate monitor in the fitness app that comes with the phone, you just put your finger on the sensor and it takes a scan.
It's also meant to be able to track stress, using the same sensor.
I'm thinking it might be there as part of the fingerprint lock - but I haven't activated that, so I'm not sure.

Um... ?
It's a built-in app... so... one of those?
