IKR???? I could have been looking at that for MONTHS.

You're Lauren Olamina from Parable of the Sower.
Hopeful. Empathetic.
When anyone needs a shoulder to cry on or a bit of advice, they turn to you. Life's challenges have a way of falling into place when you turn your optimistic eye on them.
Lauren Olamina has hyper-empathy, a condition that makes her sensitive to the pain of others. In this dystopian future, Lauren’s family is killed and she is forced into a world fraught with danger. With other refugees, Lauren conceives of a revolutionary idea that may mean salvation for mankind.
I've never heard of this character, book nor author before so I looked it up.
First thing I noticed is that its the first book in a series with an African American protagonist written by and African American author - cool!
As noted by the quiz it a Science Fiction series, with an African American protagonist written by an African American author - double cool!
Plus, it has elements of Fantasy (my favorite genre) to boot! - Icing on the cake!
I think I'll have to give this one a try! Parable of the Sower

You're Sam Sloane from Orbital Decay.
Scrappy. Principled.
You weren't voted most anything in your high school yearbook. In fact, some people thought you were a bit of a screw-up. But the truth is you can roll with life's hard knocks and come out smiling. You've even got a heroic streak in you.
Sam Sloane and his outer space construction crew are ex-convicts and Grateful Dead junkies. But when they uncover a plot that threatens all Americans, they surprise even themselves with their response.

Yours sounds like fun too! :)

Thanks for bumping my TBR shelf up."
I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm, but I'll take it! Hee hee hee. :D

LOL
Take the quiz Colleen!

Spontaneous. Rebellious..
You play by your own rules. You laugh in the face of authority. And along the way, you just might inspire others to break the mold, too.
Harlequin lives in a future world of strict rules and a stricter timeline. The unquestioned ruler, The Ticktockman, presides over all. That is, until Harlequin bursts onto the scene.

I think that sounds just like you! Do you agree?

I'll need to read it now, I guess, Scrappy.

How is that not surprising. And why even ask the superpower question. Who doesn't choose invincibility? Dead people, that's who. :)

*dead*

Did you actually say "stop reading"? Are you unwell?

Loved that duology!

You're a Blackcollar from the book... Blackcollar.
Capable. Secretive.
You can detect BS a mile away. You know how to assert yourself, and sometimes even your friends aren't sure what you're thinking. That's OK, you'd protect them to the ends of the earth.
Blackcollars were the universe's deadliest fighting force, 29 years ago. Now, they're older and even more secretive, but they've still got it. Basically ninjas of outer space, they'll be the only hope in humanity's rebellion.

Wow Mrs. J! I didn't know you had a biography out!?! How very secretive of you!! I wonder what you're thinking?

lol!

Unstoppable. A Leader.
To you, big challenges just mean bigger rewards. You're disciplined and expect the best from others, and you can inspire your friends to follow you anywhere.
When 15-foot aliens arrive on Earth and start treating humans like pests to be exterminated, the Carmichael Clan has something to say about it. Lead by Colonel Anson Carmichael, they'll never give up the resistance.
I haven't read this book, maybe I need to?????

That's how I felt about the book I was related to, too!

I got:
"Wizard: Kings alter the laws of man as they please. What makes you think the laws of nature are any different?
You love to learn, study and use your knowledge and experience to solve problems and advance yourself. These traits will always keep you ahead of others."

Well, I agree with the mercurial part, anyway.

Apparently bards are considered a rogue class, though, so I guess it works. I never played a straight rogue, though. I wants me some magic, damnit!

*sigh*
It's hard being the only geek you know for miles around.

Unless maybe I want to play something like Corn Cobs and Collards.

That sounds like dinner...

It was 1978 when I discovered D&D, I was 26.

The game du jour when I was in high school was Magic the Gathering, but I never got into that, either.
But I always liked the ideas of the games and the stories behind them, and I knew people who played so I'd pick up a thing or two.
Like right now I've been watching Jer playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, and I pretty much know the story and everything even though I don't play myself.
I'm a gamer by osmosis. ;)
(Or should that be by proxy?)

Awesome.
True neutral human wizard (6th level)
Not surprising, but lots of close scores and lots of questions I could answer both ways. I am just an adaptable person.
