HomeInMyShoes My reading was 339 words per minutes, but I don't get enough time to read. It would take me 176 days to read all of the Games of Thrones because I said I could devote 30 minutes a day. I've read the first three already though and I'm not going to continue.

Hi Quinn.

I haven't worked on my hobby in days. Our Tom cat (Xander) has decided that my leather work area is a dandy place to sleep.

message 2255: by Elise (new)

Elise Kleuskens You could read the entire Game of Thrones collection in 72 days. (352 days faster than the average person!)

Your reading speed is 279 words per minute.

Though I wonder how quick I am reading my own language!

We add Bear to our cats names too. Angel- Bear & Ku Bear. (Goku but we call him Ku).

This year I'm gonna go pretty low key, and just wear some devil horns in my hair, with my black dragon scale skirt and a red tank top and black hoodie.

Yeah, I asked my eye doctor about it, but he said it's nothing to worry about.

(Funnily enough, one of my pupils is generally larger than the other... )

You're so right about that.

And its so late now... I guess I can go as generic "Urban Fantasy Girl" but only an avid reader would get it.

message 2265: by HomeInMyShoes (new)

HomeInMyShoes I was thinking of going as John McEnroe. Get a headband and some short white shorts and then yell at everyone.

Leland (lelandhw) | 63 comments A broken tennis racquet.

message 2268: by HomeInMyShoes (new)

HomeInMyShoes I've got one. Well, not broken, but I'm sure I could get an old one somewhere. I know I've got one without any strings in it. That might suffice.

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) My (belated) results:

You could read the entire Game of Thrones collection in 29 days. (395 days faster than the average person!)

Your reading speed is 520 words per minute.

If you read for 2hours each day, you could get through 229 books per year
(based on the average length of a bestseller - 99,390 words).

---

Yeah, sure, test. Apparently I'm just better at tests than reading in real life... LOL

message 2271: by HomeInMyShoes (last edited Oct 02, 2014 02:50PM) (new)

HomeInMyShoes I just looked and I just reached 500 books read on Goodreads. Woohoo for useless numbers!

message 2272: by Dawn, Dawnerys, Mother of Modding (new)

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments I like to do costumes, but can't afford a whole new one this year. So I'll either be a generic Roman chick or Rogue, because those are what I have on hand:

(view spoiler)

Next year I want to be a wood elf. Working on picking up pieces of the costume throughout the next year...

message 2273: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) You were Rogue last year right? so I'd go with the Roman one.

message 2274: by Dawn, Dawnerys, Mother of Modding (new)

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments Yeah, I'll likely go Roman since I was Rogue last year. But I did really like my Rogue costume... Much comfier. Don't know if I'd fit in those pants anymore though :P

pppppffffffffffffffffft! whatever. I'm sure you'll fit.

message 2276: by Lee (new)

Lee | 939 comments I always wanted to wear a Star Trek Starfleet uniform. Not necessarily for Halloween. Just... You know... Whenever. Lol. Or Jedi robes. If I do anything this year it'll probably just be a lame superhero t-shirt. Not doing anything anyway, just carving pumpkins and handing out candy. We're doing a Dr Seuss theme this year. I guess I should find something to match. My partner in crime already has a cat in the hat, hat.

I love the 2nd dress. It's not quite the dress Uhura wore but its close.

They look pretty much the same but #1 seems not to be made as well as #2. Lots of complaints about not being even close to true to size and hanging like a sad sack. But its cheaper...

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments Ah. Yeah, Jer was lookig at a Rubie's costume for something else, and it kinda had crap reviews, too. I think he ended up going for something pricier but better, as well.

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments Speaking of my crazy husband, this will be the first year he's decided to dress up, and he's gonna be the Grim Reaper (sans makeup, just the robe) - but he's decided he needs to buy an actual scythe...
