A lot of other things (obviously not so important) miss out on getting done on the weekend, don't they!

I guessed that really. I did see a comment somewhere that there is a tragedy. I had better watch it soon before someone at work tomorrow tells me what happened:)

Yes I think that would be wise...its a bit of a cliff hanger so they might want to tell the lead up.

I had the same issue with Snow Crash. It put me off him a little bit. There was a bit too much info dumping for me.

It's not technically and Australian book, but has Aussie themes (about convict transportation) and the author lived in Oz for a while!
I am 200 pages in and so far a good read :)

I was terribly disappointed by Snow Crash as well Phrynne.
Thanks Neal, I know you're smart. But I really just want to be entertained.

So far so good, though I'm not far in...too busy weeding the garden!! ;)

Tehehe, Susan and Phrynne, your comments made me giggle. I tried to read a Neal Stephenson book last year, Reamde, but at over 1,000 pages, I found it physically difficult to handle. In the end it went back to the library unfinished. But there were some very interesting sections that I did enjoy reading.

Started Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson this morning.

If you're that energetic, you can have my address, I have huge garden beds and could do with some help combined with some book chat:)

I'd probably take you on Bette, if you lived a little closer! ;)
Today we are going to buy about half a ton of mulch, so that will test a few old winter dormant muscles in the near future ö

Great Noelene, that's on my challenge list also ;)

I reading Crucifixion Creek by Barry Maitland at the moment:) Really enjoying it, though not all that far in yet!

I fancy that one Brenda, it gets some good reviews. Look forward to reading yours ;)

Such a great story!

Love the cover on this particular edition :)
