Yes, my kindle has larger font which I've set for me, and it's so much easier!

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments Only just a bit into my latest, a Patrick Gale book, The Whole Day Through and I noticed I am THREE books behind on my annual challenge. Not getting a lot of reading done as we drive around the English dales and peaks.
DH suggested a destination for tomorrow about which I am quite excited, so will post photos if it comes off OK.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments And I also haven't finished my review of my last read, Starter for Ten which was a 5★ read

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) I've picked up Infinite Home to finish. My next read will be my newly purchased Where My Heart Used to Beat, the newly published novel by Sebastian Faulks.

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) @Sally I keep seeing Palace of Tears in the book shop and am not sure whether to buy it. I'll wait for your review.

Happy to hear about the larger than normal print. I'm a physical book person and have a whole shelf here on GR dedicated to 'Print too small' books which means I've had to pass them up. I've recently found that except for new releases, our bookshop has changed the rest of their stock to the smaller format which also means smaller print. Bah! They don't know how much money I'm not spending there because I struggle with smaller print.

K | 1143 comments I just finished 15 Minutes (The Rewind Agency #1) by Jill Cooper . I have it 4 stars. It was really good and moved along at a cracking pace.

Really loving it - but nowhere near finished it yet - is actually based on a real hotel in the Blue Mountains called the Hydro Majestic - which has recently been re-opened after massive renovations.

I drove past the Hydro Majestic just a couple of weeks ago on the way to Janolan Caves. What I wouldn't have given to take a look inside. What a beautiful old hotel!

Virginia | 39 comments I'm about to start one of the following three books for both pleasure and research, can't decide which:

1. The Quiet Woman because it's set in Ireland and that's where my next book takes place

2. Tropical Lies because it's set in Hawaii and each book in my mystery series begins there

3. Prunella Smith: Worlds Within Worlds because I've just discovered Tahlia Newland who writes mystical mysteries like me and has won a BRAG Medallion and lives in Oz.

Might go with the Aussie ...

So do I, Veronica. I often very easily give books 4 or 5 stars, but there are not many that I turn into a blubbering mess with. What an amazing author this woman is!

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) I've swapped over to a library book; The Time in Between by Spanish author María Dueñas translated by Daniel Hahn. Peskily, this is one of those dual title novels; it's also known as The Seamstress.

Carolyn | 9836 comments I'm trying to complete a SF challenge to read 12 Award winning books in 12 months. I've only read 6 so far so the push is on to read 6 more by the end of the year.

Just started the 2013 Hugo Award winner, Redshirts by John Scalzi. From the title I was expecting something military and hardcore but it's actually really fun.

Mikana (mikanakat) | 72 comments I've been a bit naughty at the local library, as they no longer charge to order in a book. So I'm reading 3 books atm, with a few physical book and audiobooks in wait :)

1x graphic novel = Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: Guilty Pleasures, Volume 2
1x audio book = Spider Bones Which I am up to the last disc and enjoying the story.
1x ebook = Only You Can Save Mankind which I'll finish in the next day or so.

I'll be interested in what you think - I loved Snowflower and the Secret Fan (5★’s) but really didn't like Shanghai Girls(2★’s).

Chris Foster (chrisfoster) | 11 comments I've almost finished The Last Quarrel: The Complete Edition after meeting Duncan Lay at a Superhero Expo. He is a great guy and his work feels really fresh. The book blends the epic scale of story that fans of Magician will enjoy along with a whodunit atmosphere.

It is so good I gave myself a headache from reading over 150 pages in one sitting. I highly recommend it to any lovers of fantasy, or anyone else silly enough to spend 6 hours gardening in a day and needing some escape time :)

K | 1143 comments In the last 24 hours I have finished two books:
Atlas Of Unknowns by Tania James & If I Break (If I Break, #1) by Portia Moore . I gave both 3 stars. Here are the reviews:
Atlas of Unknowns: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
If I Break: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I am now reading Looking for Alaska by John Green for the October challenge.
